Pleasantville (1998)

Corrected entry: The thunderstom had been raging already for quite a while when Bud's father arrived at the bowling alley. Given its absolute novelty, why hadn't the bowlers heard anything before he pointed it out to them? Bowling alleys are noisy places, but not that noisy. And we can hear the thunderstorm very well inside the bowling alley. (01:14:30)

NancyFelix

Correction: You really only hear the storm outside once the bowlers have stopped bowling to listen to George's story. Even if they heard something, they wouldn't think it to be a thunderstorm since "that wouldn't happen in Pleasantville". They probably just thought it was the echoes of bowling sounds.

Ral0618

Corrected entry: When Brooks is on his book delivery tour he stops and says "Books" at each cell. Red gives him the parcel with the rock hammer to pass it on to Andy. The camera cuts to Andy, and you hear Brooks call "Books" twice before he even reaches his cell, although both cells are right next to each other. (00:29:10)

NancyFelix

Correction: Andy and Red's cells are not right next to each other. Andy's is at the end and Red's is two away.

Correction: They are in cell 237 (Red) and 245 (Andy).

M*A*S*H (1970)

Corrected entry: Ho-Jon, Burns's Korean boy, can hardly read but speaks almost accent-free American English. (00:12:25)

NancyFelix

Correction: There is nothing at all surprising about this. Learning to read and write English would be a whole new skill for Ho-Jon, as Koreans (like most Asians) do not use the English alphabet. It works in reverse - a lot of soldiers learned enough Korean (and later, Vietnamese) to get by, but almost none learned to read and write it.

Corrected entry: I cannot imagine that a black caddie was allowed in a players-only facility in a Georgia golf club in 1929. (01:01:25)

NancyFelix

Correction: He was let in because he was a caddie, not a player. Black people were let in at white only establishments if they were there to serve.

Corrected entry: When The Duke sees the dead Mr. Wilks in the coffin the deceased's mouth is wide open. The Duke closes it without any effort, as if there were no such thing as rigor mortis. (01:07:20)

NancyFelix

Correction: Rigor mortis usually lasts between one and three days, so depending on how long Mr. Wilkes had been dead, it might have already passed.

Krista

Corrected entry: Maybe there is something I haven't understood. But Scarlett marries Frank Kennedy for the sole purpose of raising $300 to pay taxes on Tara. Wouldn't he have coughed up the money as well if he had married his life-long belle Suellen?

NancyFelix

Correction: Suellen would not have asked Frank for the money because she no longer cared what happened to Tara. Near the beginning of Part Two she says as much, adding, "I hate Tara." prompting Scarlett to slap her.

Crazy in Alabama (1999)

Corrected entry: In her speech at court Lucille mentions that she had been pregnant for 54 months. Every time you have a chance to count her children, like when they come to the prison window, there are 7. (01:32:52)

NancyFelix

Correction: She had twins.

Pleasantville (1998)

Correction: How do you know cheese burgers were unknown? It's the only food the people in Pleasantville order in the burger bar, plus the burger bar owner goes on to say that there are no cheese burgers because David/Bud hasn't done things in the usual order.

Pleasantville (1998)

Corrected entry: When Bud shows the art book to Bill, he is looking through it on the counter. After a lot of close-ups of turning pages they end up sitting at a table. (00:59:45)

NancyFelix

Correction: It's a big book full of pages, it's entirely feasible that they got up and mooved into a more comfortable position, there is no suggestion that the opening to the closing of the book is in real time.

Kara

Corrected entry: During the fight on the way to Fort Henry Chingachgook throws a wooden toy rifle at an Indian which miraculously gets stuck in his back like a tomahawk. (00:19:40)

NancyFelix

Correction: It's not a rifle Henry Chingachgook throws. It's a spiked club which is similar in shape to a rifle. It is the spikes which stick in the Indian's back.

Corrected entry: When the survivors move on to Fort Henry, Alice's cap, which she had been wearing throughout, is suddenly gone. (00:21:15)

NancyFelix

Correction: Cora knocks it off when she jumps down to protect Alice during the battle in the woods.
