Corrected entry: After Mary has been killed Vincent runs down the steps of the opera house and shoots the assassin. In the next shot he is seen running down the steps again, now from the other side. (02:32:10)

NancyFelix

Correction: That is not Garcia walking behind Pacino, that is a body guard. Garcia (Vincent) is wearing a black tux with white ruffled shirt. The bodyguard is wearing what looks like a black suit with a black shirt. The actor looks somewhat like Garcia, but is not him. This was not a mistake in the movie.

Working Girl (1988)

Corrected entry: When Katherine reserves a room at a hotel she talks German. From her weird diction it's obvious that Sigourney Weaver has somehow memorized the text without actually knowing what she is saying. (00:21:50)

NancyFelix

Correction: Sigourney Weaver apparently knows German, so this mistake is wrong. Also, it sounds like she is conversing in German like a natural, and it sounds like conversational German to me.

Unless it's known that Sigourney Weaver knew German prior to 1988 this correction is wrong. Also, how she is talking, be it sounding memorized or natural, is personal perception. This alleged mistake has no supporting evidence so doesn't deserve to be an entry here.

Correction: From Ms Weaver's IMDb page: "Speaks French and German fluently."

Forrest Gump (1994)

Corrected entry: When Forrest gets hit by a stone and falls on the ground a red school book is lying on the ground next to him. When he gets up he doesn't pick it up, and when he runs away it's not on the ground either. (00:15:20)

NancyFelix

Correction: The red book is right from Jenny on the floor when Forrest starts running.

Falling Down (1993)

Corrected entry: In the scene where D-Fens fires into the canal construction site he is surrounded by a lot of kids. All but the one he is talking to disappear between shots. (01:13:15)

NancyFelix

Correction: It's just the camera angle. They are there the whole time.

Titanic (1997)

Corrected entry: When Brock Lovett opens the safe someone is taking a video. There are differences between what we see in the video camera monitor and what is actually happening, like the way Brock's hair falls over his forehead. (00:09:50)

NancyFelix

Correction: There is no differences between what we see on the video and and off the video.

Ssiscool

Corrected entry: Andy plays Mozart over the public address system of the prison. When Hadley finally breaks through the door after the aria is over the needle is still in the first groove. (01:04:45)

NancyFelix

Correction: The needle arm automatically returned there at the end of the track.

Lethal Weapon 2 (1989)

Corrected entry: When Rika hands Rudd his morning faxes they are not faxes but printed sheets folded in the middle. Plus, in those days faxes would have been thermo printed and shown a tendency to roll up, since, as she said, they had just arrived in the morning. (00:48:00)

NancyFelix

Correction: Not all fax machines in 1989 used thermal paper. In 1985 GammaLink introduced a computer based fax board, and by 1989 other companies, such as Xerox, allowed fax machines to be linked to computers with add-on PC boards which allowed users to view (and print) fax information from their computers. Even if that wasn't the case, a file clerk or secretary may have made photocopies of the faxes to prevent them from rolling or being damaged.

Lethal Weapon (1987)

Corrected entry: When Hunsaker gets shot through the window we hear the sound of a pane shattering, but there is only a small hole with a few cracks in the glass (not really typical for an ordinary window anyway). (01:04:05)

NancyFelix

Correction: The window had two panes of glass. One pane shattered and the second one only had a single hole.

Dirty Harry (1971)

Corrected entry: The blackmail note Harry finds after the first murder is pinned to an antenna. When the note is projected at the Mayor's office there is no trace of the rather big hole in the middle. (00:05:30)

NancyFelix

Correction: The note wasn't pinned, it was held on by a clip on the side of the note. There was never any hole.

Lethal Weapon (1987)

Corrected entry: When the General's car has turned turtle, there's a lot of white material on the road that looks like several square meters of carton sheets and whose purpose I'm not able to tell, but which certainly doesn't belong there. (01:31:20)

NancyFelix

Correction: It sounds like you're describing the shot after the car explodes after being hit by the bus. The white squares are the bags of heroin that spilt out of the car when it flipped (you see some of the bags left in the car that the grenades are sitting on).

Lethal Weapon (1987)

Corrected entry: When Riggs and Murtaugh get into the car after Riggs bought a hotdog, there is a car waiting next to them with four elderly ladies who are all staring at the scene of the movie shooting. (00:27:45)

NancyFelix

Correction: The 4 people in the car (it's clear one of them, if not 2, is a man) are stopped at a red-light and make no unusual glances or gestures that a normal person would do at a red-light.

Bishop73

Lethal Weapon (1987)

Corrected entry: After Murtaugh interrogates the little boy he walks away. In the background the boy raises his arm to wave after them but stops in the middle, obviously stopped by the crew, and smiles embarrassedly. (01:00:40)

NancyFelix

Correction: First, he smiles before raising his arm and it's not a smile of embarrassment. Then he does lift his arm, but it appears to be in no way a wave good-bye nor is there any crew member obviously stopping him. And after Mel Gibson starts to walk away, he's in front of the kid for the most part, so we can't see what else the kid does. Nothing about the kid's affect would be considered unusual for a kid in a similar situation of the movie's events.

Witness (1985)

Corrected entry: During the barn raise John is seen hammering somewhere up in the structure. The hammering continues while the camera is on Daniel who is getting some lemonade from Rachel. He then offers his lemonade to John who is now standing on the ground. (01:10:45)

NancyFelix

Correction: The entire barn raising sequence is a montage - meaning there are purposeful and noticeable gaps in the time between each shot.

2nd May 2004

Lethal Weapon (1987)

Corrected entry: When Amanda lies on the roof of the car we see the shadows of two people walking by, obviously taking no interest in the rather peculiarly positioned dead woman. Even in an uncompassionate City like L.A. one should expect that passers-by take at least a closer look at an accident scene like this one. (00:04:10)

NancyFelix

Correction: Without seeing the people there's no way to tell that they were "showing no interest". They could've been hotel personnel going towards a phone to call an ambulance.

9th May 2004

Lethal Weapon 2 (1989)

Corrected entry: When Riggs emerges from the water after he has freed himself from the straightjacket he knocks out the two bad guys using both his arms. This wouldn't have worked as he had to dislocate his shoulder to wiggle himself out of the jacket, and he relocates it only after the fight. (01:24:55)

NancyFelix

Correction: As pointed out in another correction, his arm will still function fully with a dislocated shoulder, albeit causing tremendous pain. However, Riggs was so enraged over the deaths of Rika and Victoria to likely have even noticed, let alone cared.

Corrected entry: When Miss Daisy comments on Florine's birthday present for uncle Walter (note paper) she says that he cannot see. Later uncle Walter is able to blow out his candles, visibly aiming at the last one. (00:57:50)

NancyFelix

Correction: Being able to see flames on a cake is not the same as being able to see writing on paper.

Pleasantville (1998)

Corrected entry: All cars parked at Lovers' Lane are convertibles. But when the camera is on Mary-Sue's face the car behind her is out of focus but still recognisable as a limousine. (00:31:00)

NancyFelix

Correction: When you see the out of focus car behind her the first time, it's the body of the convertible car. The second time, the camera is at a higher angle so you can see that it's the convertible car more. But certainly there's never a limousine behind her.

Dave (1993)

Corrected entry: When Dave and the First Lady address the press from the White House balcony, Alan and Bob keep prompting him what to say. As the First Lady was standing right next to him she should have overheard this and get suspicious which, as she told him later during their escape, happened only when they were going to the homeless children's shelter together and he stared at her bare knee. (00:34:25 - 01:06:25)

NancyFelix

Correction: During the balcony address, the First Lady is furious with the President. She is probably also quite used to Bob Alexander and Alan Reed feeding the President lines in awkward situations. While this probably seemed a little absurd to her, she was probably too incensed to care more than rolling her eyes and walking out. At that point, she had absolutely no reason to believe the President was an impostor, so the idea probably didn't even occur to her at that point, until she witnessed all of his subsequent uncharacteristic behavior, and began to put things together.

Titanic (1997)

Corrected entry: When Jack gets handcuffed the master of arms says 'over here, son', the way he addressed him since the diamond was found in his pocket. The subtitles read 'over here, sir'. He surely wouldn't call a third-class delinquent 'sir'. (01:47:50)

NancyFelix

Correction: Firstly, the subtitles are correct. Secondly, as a member of the ship's crew, he would have been trained to be polite to passengers regardless of their social class.

Working Girl (1988)

Corrected entry: At the beginning of the movie Tess goes to work. When she enters the building she is wearing a brown coat. When she arrives at the office she is wearing a grey jacket. (00:03:45)

NancyFelix

Correction: The brown coat was a heavy winter outer coat. The grey jacket is a lightweight jacket that goes with her outfit.
