Corrected entry: How come the Native Americans aren't surprised at all when a racing Delorian appears from thin air in front of them, in dazzling futuristic lights?

First Knight (1995)
Corrected entry: Malagant imprisons Guinevere in an 'oubliette', which is French for 'place of forgetting', a dungeon where prisoners are left to rot. But oubliettes were only in use during the Middle Ages, centuries after King Arthur's time, and even then they were not platforms over pits as the film depicts. They were dungeon cells beneath the castle floors.
Correction: Many castles contain deep, windowless spaces, but no medieval documents say these were prisons. They were only identified as prisons by later historians and archaeologists. Many archaeologists and historians now think these were storerooms and not prisons at all. So the idea of Guinevere incarcerated in an oubliette is doubly incorrect! Isn't this all too pedantic? If King Arthur existed, he lived in the seventh century, long before castles were built. The legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table are usually set in a vague, romantic past, somewhat outside documented history. Most films about King Arthur show knights wearing fifteenth century style armour, living in huge, elaborate castles that could probably not be built, even in 2020! These films are romantic fantasies and should never be regarded as history. If you want something realistic look out for the 1972 British TV series "Arthur Of The Britons" which showed Arthur as a seventh century warlord.

Batman and Robin (1997)
Corrected entry: Freeze jumps out of his rocket after leaving Batman in there - when Robin and Batman jump out after him, they should reach terminal velocity. With everyone travelling at equal speed, it's not possible that the diamond could have been knocked from Freeze's hand with sufficient force for Robin to subsequently catch it.

Armageddon (1998)
Corrected entry: In the scene where the Russian space station starts to collapse A.J and the Russian cosmonaut gets trapped in a room. In order to check that everyone has reached their respective ship Houston turns on a "personal radar" which lets them see everyone in the station in a 3d-model on screen. This is done through trackers in the Americans space-suits. Only problem is that the cosmonaut also shows up on radar and he, apart from already being there for a great period of time, definitely does not have an American space-suit with a tracker.

Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
Corrected entry: When the canopy on the snow speeders is coming down, there's a whirring sound as if there is a motor closing it, but it's actually the gunner pulling on two handles that's closing them.

Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
Corrected entry: In the shot immediately before the AT-AT destroys the shield generator, we see many rebels running from this particular AT. It shoots at one of them, and despite the fact the lasers completely misses him, he falls and dies anyway (best seen in slow-mo).

War of the Worlds (2005)
Corrected entry: As the three drive away from the bathroom stop, after encountering the Army for the first time, we can hear the sound of the EAS (emergency alert system) on the radio, then the announcer stating "This was only a test if this had been an actual emergency." If ever there was a time for the EAS to be activated for real, this would be it.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006)
Corrected entry: In the scene towards the end when Jack takes Davy Jones' beating heart and sticks it into his jar of dirt, he takes a lot of dirt out of the jar causing it to look very messy, but later on in the movie when we see Jack again with the jar in his hands about to bargain with Davy Jones, the jar has the same amount of dirt as it did before and it is very clean.
Correction: It is likely that Norrington, upon seeing the pile of dirt on the seat in the boat, scooped it back into the jar as he was removing the heart. He knows Jack is clever and may notice a change in weight and/or volume. As to the cleanliness of the jar: a lot of time passes between those two shots in which Jack could easily have dusted the jar off.

Jurassic Park (1993)
Corrected entry: At the end the T-Rex comes in and saves the day by killing the raptors. Where did he come from? He's huge and no way he could have fit through any of the doors. Second, how come nobody heard him coming? He can be heard many other times during the movie before he shows up. Finally, how come nobody saw him? He's huge and can be seen from a distance.
Correction: They were all a little distracted by the raptors at the time she showed up; not likely to notice subtle ground tremors or see anything other than the horse-sized carnivores bearing down on them. As for getting in, perhaps there is a large maintenance door somewhere in the building that she was able to get in through. Or maybe she just broke through the rather grand main entrance made up mostly of glass window panes.
Corrected entry: In Jack's escape attempt from Port Royal, the first thing he does is grab a rope, release the suspended cannon above, and ride the rope upwards, when he reaches the top of the post, he is shown dangling at the end of the rope as the post that held the cannon swings around rather swiftly. Since the cannon was dropped straight down, and Jack was hoisted straight up, there is nothing to account for the enormous momentum that it takes to swing Jack about like that.

Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002)
Corrected entry: There is a shot during the opening battle in the arena, right before Dooku says "Master Windu, you have fought galantly..." where Obi-Wan appears to be checking the pulse of a fallen Jedi. If you look closely on that Jedi's shoulder, you can see that Obi-Wan's lightsaber has a shadow. (01:55:30)

Buffy The Vampire Slayer (1997)

High Tension (2003)
Corrected entry: This movie is French (dubbed over in English), and takes place in France, yet Marie talks about all the local "rednecks" and "hippies". Not in France.
Correction: Perhaps there is no appropriate English word to translate what was actually said in French. "Redneck" and "hippie" just have the closest approximate meaning in English. After all, when we say "redneck" we mean a special kind of ignorance, simple-mindedness, and lifestyle. The words "red" and "neck" have nothing to do with that.

Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991)
Corrected entry: At the end when King Richard makes a surprise appearance at the wedding, Marian calls him by his first name, and remains standing while everyone else bows. It's unlikely that she would show so little decorum, considering he's the king. Being a semi-distant relative would not give her the right to be so casual with him, especially in public, and at a time when sometimes kings' immediate families addressed them as "Your Majesty."
Correction: But considering he's a fictionalized version of Richard the Lionheart, and he seems remarkably informal with her in return, it is a more than safe assumption that the matter has been addressed long since, with Richard asking, if not telling Marian not to be so formal with him. Much like Elizabeth Swann asked repeatedly of Will Turner in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.

The Matrix Reloaded (2003)
Corrected entry: When Trinity is turning off the power for the city blocks at the end, she types in "Disable nodes 21-48". No problems here, but when the computer is doing that, you see the computer turn off the nodes or city blocks one after the other. The last shot on the computer shows, though, that node 48 turns is disabled so the process is complete, but then, Trinity says "Come on....please" as she is kind of praying that it turns off in time. It has already turned off. After that, it shows that the lights turn off at least 5 seconds after the computer has disabled them.
Correction: If you send an e-mail to yourself, you don't receive it instantly. Even though you get a delivery confirmation, it still takes time for the information to travel. The computer tells Trinity that the nodes have been disabled, but the information has not reached the nodes yet. This is what she is anxiously waiting for.

Correction: Who's to say they weren't? Anyway, these appear to be warriors, who would likely consider it dishonerable to show fear of the unknown.
