Monsters, Inc. (2001)

Corrected entry: When the "scarers" arrive for work in the "Right Stuff" scene, Pauley has no eyes. He is to Sully's left (the right of the screen as you look at it). His assistant then puts his eyeballs in to prepare him for scaring. Later, after work, even after the monsters have left the locker room and are heading out of the Monsters Inc. factory for the evening, Pauley has all of his eyeballs left in. (00:13:30 - 00:20:15)

Correction: And how is this a mistake? He would still need eyes to live out his everyday life. For all we know he has a work set of eyes and a everyday set of eyes.

MasterOfAll

If this was the case then he would be using a set of eyes during the walk-in scene.

Perhaps he has nowhere to store his eyes on the work floor (or isn't allowed), so he can't swap them on the spot.

lionhead

Correction: No it is not. Lola is a 1962 Chevrolet Corvette. The car seen in Captain America is a 1941 Cadillac Series 62. Similar technology, different vehicles.

MasterOfAll

Corrected entry: In order to defeat Doomsday, Superman launches both him and the creature into space, and then plummets back down to Earth as a meteor. Yet... Superman takes Doomsday back down right in the middle of one of the most populated cities on Earth, Metropolis. The effect of their impact being little different than if a meteor had crashed in the heart of Metropolis, causing a huge crater, making several buildings fall, completely demolishing about a half mile or more radius, and causing incalculable property damage and structural damage to all the buildings in at least a 2 mile radius of the impact. Given the height they fall from, Superman definitely had time to angle themselves away from such a densely populated area. (00:26:20)

Quantom X

Correction: If he wasn't fighting to keep Doomsday from escaping, of course he could have changed course. But Doomsday was fighting him the whole way down.

Ocean's Eleven (2001)

Corrected entry: When Danny tries to trigger the vault door, it turns out that the trigger device doesn't have any batteries in it. Linus mocks Danny with the "you lose focus in this game for one second" line. However, since Linus had no idea that Danny was even going to the vault after he got red-flagged in the casino's system then didn't it have to be Linus that forgot to put the batteries in, not Danny? Because there would really be no point in bringing down two trigger devices and Linus would certainly not go to the vault by himself to trigger the vault door without having a means to open it.

EricWenger

Correction: Danny and Rusty were the ones to set up the equipment for the heist. It would be their responsibility to make sure everything was ready for Linus' use.

The Walking Dead (2010)

Show generally

Corrected entry: Throughout the entire series, the green hybrid that the group is driving changes branding. It often changes between Ford, to Toyota, and lately Hyundai from the recently acquired endorsement, all between scenes. Even going so far as changing 3 times in a single episode.

animemetalhead

Correction: It would be helpful if specific episodes and scene descriptions were provided, otherwise it is very difficult to confirm this.

Lethal Weapon (1987)

Corrected entry: After Riggs has beaten Joshua, Murtaugh is holding Riggs after he collapses. Riggs is facing away from the action of Joshua getting cuffed, yet reacts along with Murtaugh to shoot him, then collapses again. And where was Riggs' gun the whole time during the fight? It wasn't in his waistband where he always carried it, and no holster. It just conveniently reappears when needed.

Movie Nut

Correction: First off, Riggs turned around because Murtaugh turned, and pulled his gun, Riggs would have easily known what was going on. Secondly, Murtaugh had Riggs' gun. Riggs just pulled it from Murtaugh.

That '70s Show (1998)

Show generally

Corrected entry: Characters often use the terms "dude" and "awesome" in their informal contexts; neither of these terms was part of the mainstream American vernacular until the early/mid 1980s.

zendaddy621

Correction: The term "Dude" has been around for over a century, and the modern definition has been around since the 1960's. The word "Awesome" has also been around since the late 60's. So there is no error with anyone using the two terms.

MasterOfAll

No, Dude and Awesome weren't common slag until the 80s until films like Valley Girl and Fast Times at Ridgemont High became popular. It doesn't matter how hold the words are. Kids in Wisconsin didn't use them. They said groovy not awesome and Jack and man not dude.

Evan Almighty (2007)

Corrected entry: Near the end just before the flood, the order is given to destroy the ark and the crane moves in. They couldn't destroy the ark there and then because of all the people and animals on board.

terry s

Correction: At this point they are just using a scare tactic to get them off the arc. They were not going to put the people's lives or that of the animals in danger. If they actually started demolishing the arc then this could be a mistake.

Man of Steel (2013)

Corrected entry: Heat vision is directed by the person's field of vision, so in the climactic scene why did Zod struggle to turn his head when he could have simply moved his eyes?

Teru_Kage

Correction: This is an assumption. It is never stated within the film that the heat vision seen in this film is within the field of vision. All cases of heat vision being used in this film has the users head fixed on the target.

Surf Ninjas (1993)

Corrected entry: In the scene when the cop and the kid with the game gear are captured after falling down the hill, they are secured with wrist chains and put into the truck. A few moments later, the ninja kid slices the chain in two with the sword. The cop then proceeds to slide the chain off his wrists. If he could slide his wrists out of the chain, why didn't he just escape in the first place?

Correction: If he tried to escape with the guards still watching him he most likely would have been killed.

Iron Man 3 (2013)

Corrected entry: Tony starts the movie with putting a number of sensors into his body, so that the Mark XLII knows where he and his limbs are. But neither Pepper or Killian have these sensors (it is ridiculously unlikely to assume otherwise) and yet the suit assembles perfectly fine on them as well.

Friso94

Correction: The sensors injected into him allow him to remote control his suit. Not just follow him. it allows him to send it anywhere.

Tuttle - S1-E15

Character mistake: Hawkeye and Trapper make Tuttle an alumnus of "Berlin Polytechnic" and translate that (wrongly) as "Berlinishes Polytechnikum". Berlin's polytechnic university was named "Technische Hochschule Berlin" at the relevant time - and at no time offered a medical curriculum. To study medicine in Berlin, Tuttle would have to attend "Freie Universität Berlin" instead.

Suggested correction: And how are Hawkeye and Trapper suppose to know that? They are after all, making all this up. It is never meant to be factual.

MasterOfAll

It is intended to fool Margret and Frank, so it has to be assumed that they meant to pull it off. Hawkeye says "It can't be any place they'll check", which is why they select a German university in the first place. That shows it is indeed meant to be if not watertight, then at least convincing. To use an university you don't know the proper name of doesn't make sense under these circumstances.

Wreck-It Ralph (2012)

Corrected entry: In the scene in which Ralph interrogates sour Bill, he becomes aware that Felix and Vanellope are locked in the fungeon. There is just one problem with this: when and how did Vanellope get locked up? It is never shown if she turned herself in or was maybe captured, etc., making for a lot of uncertainty.

Correction: We do not need to see her capture. we know that King Candy had the police looking for her, and she was probably too upset to try and get away for whenever they found her.

MasterOfAll

Corrected entry: During the Inquisition song, right before Mel Brooks says "Skit skat Vodely dat Boopadyday" or something like that, the shadow of a pole is visible on the steps to the right.

Correction: You do see a shadow, but it could be anything from the dungeon. it could be from the railing, one of the chains seen hanging about, or one of the torture devices.

Tropic Thunder (2008)

Corrected entry: During the phone conversation with Flaming Dragon and Peck, while Les is listening, the guy on the phone making ransom demands for Speedman at first calls him Speedman. "We are Flaming Dragon. Speedman is with us now. For 50 million, you will get him back." This is the only time he calls him Speedman, when he wouldn't have anyways, only knowing him as Simple Jack. Thoughout the rest of the phone call, and the next call, he only refers to him as Simple Jack.

Quantom X

Correction: This is a character decision, not a mistake. He first calls him Speedman, because that is who he is. No one will take him seriously at first if he called him Simple Jack. Afterwards he goes back to what he feels comfortable with.

Police Academy (1984)

Corrected entry: In the riot scene Mahoney's window is open when he jumps into the police car and you don't see him close it, then when the rioters get to the police car it is closed.

Mala1610

Correction: That is because he rolled up his window off screen when the camera is on the Commandant, who is shown rolling his up.

Correction: No. Esme does not have an American accent in "Babe".

MasterOfAll

Correction: Both Fly and Rex have American accents in the first film. Esme's accent in the first film has mostly American pronunciations but Scottish/Welsh cadence. Most of the live-action cast in the first film, including Esme's actress, were Australian, but if you look closely at their lip movements in the first film, you'll see typical Australian accent mouth movements with American accents dubbed over.

Tropic Thunder (2008)

Corrected entry: When Lazarus and Sandusky are looking at the heroin plant with their scopes, they see Speedman being tortured by being dunked in and out of water. Here Speedman is still in his solder clothes that he was captured in, with dark green torn shirt and dark bandanna. Only moments later, without any indication of time passing, it shows the Flaming Dragon grunts dragging a now dry Speedman into the plant. He is now wearing a black robe and a red bandanna.

Quantom X

Correction: The fact that he is dry and in different clothes is the indication of time passing.
