Continuity mistake: When Daniel, Merritt and Henley first meet outside apartment 6A, the golden adjusting buckle on Daniel's bag strap is on the top of his shoulder and there are two plastic adjusting buckles on the front side of the strap, one near the top and a second further down. A few seconds later, after Merritt says the door is locked, the shot cuts to Daniel saying "Is it?" and the two plastic buckles are now further up the strap. Also, the shot cuts to angle behind Daniel and the golden buckle on the strap is now on the back side. As Daniel walks back to Merritt and Henley after trying to open the door, the golden buckle is now on the front side of the strap and much closer to one of the plastic buckles. The shot cuts again and the top plastic buckle is suddenly by his shoulder, and the golden buckle is suddenly back on the back side of the strap. Later on, when Jack arrives in the scene, the golden buckle is suddenly back on his shoulder again. (00:10:05)

Continuity mistake: When they are standing outside the apartment, after Merritt tells Henley she deserves to feel special, Daniel tells him that's a really nice story, and points to him with the card in hand, before lowering his hand. In the next shot, just as he turns to leave, he is seen still with the hand raised and card in hand, before lowering it a second time. (00:11:35)

Continuity mistake: When Thaddeus is first introduced, he is in the audience recording the Horsemen's Las Vegas show on his phone. In the shot where the camera pans from the stage over to Thaddeus in his seat, there is a man sitting next to him applauding with the crowd and there is a watch on the man's wrist. A couple of shots later, when Thaddeus tells the usher he is going to put his phone away, the watch has vanished. (00:16:00)

Continuity mistake: When congratulating Tressler at the show, Daniel asks Tressler to stay standing. Tressler has his hands by his side. The shot cuts to Daniel, Merritt and Henley on the stage, and Tressler is seen on the TV in the background, where his hands are now clasped together. (00:18:05)

Continuity mistake: When Jack is leaving the ferry, the man whose wallet Jack stole starts yelling at the people on the ground to stop him, pointing his right hand towards Jack. As soon as the next shot starts, Jack walking away from the ferry, with the man still visible in the far background and the man is now suddenly pointing with his left hand for a brief moment. Continuity mistake: Whilst Henley is unlocking the locks in the tank, she kneels down and begins tugging on the chain. She is shown holding onto two separate parts of the chain with each hand in one shot, but by the next shot, she is suddenly holding onto to one elongated piece of the chain with both hands. Continuity mistake: When Henley is being cheered at by the crowd after finishing her trick, she gives a member of the crowd a fist bump, but in the next shot, she has her hand placed over the man's fist. (00:07:20)

Continuity mistake: On the bridge as Jack Wilder's car wrecks and blows up in flames it is resting against the center divider of the four lanes. In the next shot, from an above angle, most likely a helicopter, the car is visibly burning on the outside lane of the bridge away from the center divider.

Continuity mistake: When Henley is in the tank, supposedly getting eaten by piranhas, there is a guy in a shirt with a blue hat standing in front of it. In one shot, the guy takes his hands off the tank, but by the next shot, his hands are back on it. (00:07:10)

Continuity mistake: When the Horsemen show each other their tarot cards, Daniel states that he is The Lover and Henley jokingly coughs "Three minutes" and Merritt states that he is The Hermit. Merritt is then shown turning his head to Henley looking annoyed and Henley is looking at Merritt. Next shot, she's looking at Jack. (00:12:00)

Continuity mistake: When Daniel is in his room and pushes off the woman on top of him, he crawls over to the tarot card in his shoe. When the woman yells "Are you kidding me?", the left shoelace is lying over the left side of the shoe, but when Daniel approaches the shoe in the next shot, the shoelace isn't in the same place. Continuity mistake: At the start of the scene where Dylan and Alma are having lunch with Thaddeus, Dylan asks Thaddeus "So you were a magician first?" At the end of the line, he lowers his hand, but by the next shot, his hand is suddenly raised, placed on his chin. Theatrical version only.

Continuity mistake: As Merritt puts the wife to sleep, the first shot shows a woman visible in the background leaning against one of the columns then takes a step forward to talk to someone sitting. In the next shot from further away, the woman in the background is no where to be seen, then when the camera goes back to Merritt and the couple, the woman is there again. The further away shot had nothing with the camera angles. (00:02:05)

Continuity mistake: When Dylan lands in the fake vault, he lands right next to the stand where all the money was placed on. When Alma, Thaddeus and Thaddeus' assistant enter the vault, he is suddenly standing almost a few meters away from the stand where all the money was placed. This has nothing to do with the camera angles because his hand landed on the stand as he landed in the vault. (00:36:05)

Continuity mistake: In the flashback of the Horsemen programming the banker's mind, the banker is shown walking down a flight of steps and Daniel is shown throwing and catching some poker chips. He is first shown throwing two poker chips in the air, then in a close-up, it is only one poker chip being thrown into the air. (00:37:00)

Continuity mistake: As the wife in the cafe attempts to take the dollar note from Merritt, Merritt's arm is shown to be raised as he holds the note. When Merritt says "If you can say you're name, you can have it", his arm is still raised holding the note, then as the wife begins to say her name in the shot following, his arm is suddenly lowered. Plot hole: Each of the four magicians are given a tarot card that has a date (March 29), a time (4:44pm), an address (45 East Evan St), and a city (NY). When they enter the building on that date, they know which apartment to go to. The problem with this is that it was never stated on any of the cards which apartment to go to once they reached 45 East Evan Street. (00:08:40 - 00:10:05)
