Character mistake: In every scene George is with Mary, she never once wears glasses. However, when he meets her coming from the library after he was never born, she is wearing glasses. George is shown how he has influenced all the people in Bedford Falls over his lifetime, but having Mary's eyesight degrade to the point of needing glasses isn't one of them.

Character mistake: In the very first scene in the film, the magazine covers are flashing up. There is an article called 'How to get a better bod in 5 days.' If you read the beginning of the article it says 'It Can Done.'

Considering that she works on the police force, she absolutely should have known for a fact that she was being suspected of reaching for a gun, but thinks nothing of it.

Character mistake: Mitch and Hecky are experienced ranchers - so why, when they are all camping, would they leave all the food out in the open within easy reach of bears and other wildlife?
Suggested correction: Is this in reference to when Vicky throws the food everywhere? Mitch is obviously already up and about in this scene as he is wearing shaving cream. That may be food he has put out for breakfast for when everyone else gets up.

Character mistake: In Frank Sinatra's scene in the taxi cab, when the girl is singing "Come Up to My Place," he rolls the cab window down and when he rolls it back up, he catches the front of his hair (the quiff) and has to roll the window back down to release it.

Character mistake: Dean told Laura that Fiona's toiletry case was in his bag because "She couldn't fit it in her carry-on, so I put it in my luggage." Laura (who had no reason to fabricate the story to her dad Felix) changed the details, which she couldn't know based on what Dean told her: "There were some of his co-worker's toiletries in his luggage. But she couldn't put them in her carry-on for security, so he offered to put them in his luggage." Unable to fit in isn't the same as "for security." (00:13:05 - 00:23:57)
