Continuity mistake: Higgins stops Magnum's work telling him that the very special lawn of the estate can't be just mowed. Magnum leans against the mower, held it straight by the left bar, and goes "Gee, Higgins..." In the next shot he is still holding by the left bar, but sideways. (00:04:10)

Continuity mistake: Magnum follows Higgins carrying a wheelbarrow with 3 tool handles sticking out in the front from the sacks. At least at the beginning, because when they emerge from the passageway it's suddenly 4 handles. (00:04:15)

Continuity mistake: When Magnum shows the week-old fortune cookie to a disgusted Higgins, the cookie changes position in his palm in John Hillerman's close-up and when he grabs it - prying the fortune slip from the right side instead of the left where it was in the previous shot. (00:05:25)

Continuity mistake: Magnum is struggling to load the big heavy crate in the van, or make it budge at all. Over half of the crate is in the shadow of the building, but in the rest of the scene when Magnum has to fight the two muscleheads off, it's suddenly fully in the sun. (00:09:30)

Continuity mistake: When the girls come out of the crate, the lid of the crate rests on top of it, sticking out by quite a bit, and parallel. During the fight, when Selleck is replaced by a stunt double, the lid sticks out by a small corner. Earlier when he was trying to talk his way out of it and let the girl go, the shadow of the lid also varied in size depending on the camera angle. (00:10:20)

Audio problem: When Higgins' mail order bride (well, not really) bows deeply for Magnum and her hat falls off, she says "Thank you, Higgins san", but the actress, overwhelmed by her own abundant mane, is just grinning and her lips don't move. (00:11:15)

Continuity mistake: At Rick's place, Magnum reminds him about searching for the yo-yos that hit him at the dock. Meanwhile, he is holding the bar bills in a different way between shots (vertical first, horizontal next). (00:17:55)

Continuity mistake: Magnum and his buddies have gotten all the information they needed from Jansen and Harms, and he begins to fast-talk his way out of the reinforcements. He points a stick at one of them, using his left hand, saying "You owe me 30 bucks." In a cut, the stick switches to the right hand. (00:33:10)

Revealing mistake: When Sato arrives at the estate he exits the car then walks with his two guards towards Higgins, and in the wide shot as Higgins and Sato face each other for the first time, note all the small branches strategically placed on the grass to mark the four actors' proper positions for blocking the shot. Continuity mistake: Shooting at the two snipers from the helicopter, Magnum hits one, then in a shot with camera inside the cockpit he asks "Closer TC, closer." In that shot, both the villains are still standing. (00:43:40)

Continuity mistake: In the final climax, Higgins says "Don't" to Sano, pointing a gun. Kim Miyori's head is turned differently (very noticeably) in the different shots. (00:44:10)

Visible crew/equipment: When Sato's car starts driving away he passes Magnum driving with Asani in the back seat, and as the Audi pulls up to the house, the reflections of two plastic T-marks (which are on the ground out of view) are visible on the surface of the car. (00:45:40)
