The Return of Major Bonacelli - S4-E25

Revealing mistake: When Hogan, Carter and Le Beau are talking to Schultz, you can see it is an overcast day. After Hochstetter comes in and the camera cuts to them talking about Bonacelli, it goes back to Hogan. You can now see that they are on a sound stage. The reasons are that the guard isn't moving in The Tower, the boys are well lit, and as Hogan and Le Beau go into the barracks, you can see differences in the painting of the sky on the back drop.

Happy Birthday, Dear Hogan - S4-E26

Other mistake: Hogan returns to camp after meeting with the underground, after learning the Germans are setting a trap. Kinch went down in the tunnel to Radio London just before Hogan returned. Hogan asked the men, "Where's Kinch?" and he shouldn't send any messages. Since Kinch was in the tunnel, Hogan should have seen or heard Kinch in the tunnel using the radio. (00:07:50 - 00:10:45)

Happy Birthday, Dear Hogan - S4-E26

Continuity mistake: LeBeau meets a female underground contact in a movie theater. They have to kiss to avoid detection by the Gestapo. When LeBeau leaves the theater there are no lip stick kisses on his right cheek, but when he returns to camp he has some. (00:18:00 - 00:19:00)

Suggested correction: Simple, they kissed again before LeBeau arrived back at camp. Nothing to see here.

Happy Birthday, Dear Hogan - S4-E26

Plot hole: In the cinema, Hogan and his female underground contact avoid attention from a passing plain clothes policeman by kissing. This is wrong for three reasons. Firstly, 3rd Reich Germany wasn't so liberal that open kissing in the cinema would have passed as normal, it would probably rather have been viewed as libertine and offensive. Secondly, the scene takes place with a speech of Hitler as the background, which can hardly be viewed as romantic, and thirdly, this is even more true for the Gestapo, who was tasked with ratting out political dissent. To a Gestapo officer, ignoring the Führer's speech and kissing instead would make them stand out doubly.

The Klink Commandos - S5-E3

Revealing mistake: The first shot of the train the view is normal. Then after Lebeau starts in reverse you can see the smoke trail going in the wrong direction. The final shot shows the train moving in reverse, but notice the smoke trail is going to the rear of the train instead of the front as it should be, since it's moving in reverse. Coleman Mannheim

The Klink Commandos - S5-E3

Plot hole: In his German uniform, Col. Hogan wears a number of decorations, among them the Iron Cross first and second class. When did he earn those if he has just been drafted for a suicide mission? After all he was not posing as a Wehrmacht soldier for a change but wore the uniform "officially". (00:17:00)

Doc

The Gasoline War - S5-E4

Revealing mistake: During the main part of the plot, the guys are putting dynamite on each truck in the convoy as they fuel up at Stalag 13. It is supposed to be dark, (hence the reason the boys wear black) but there are shadows as if it were day. It's impossible for the driver in the following truck and the guard in The Tower to miss seeing the boys as they go back and forth to plant charges.

Movie Nut

The Gasoline War - S5-E4

Continuity mistake: When the man and woman from the underground meet Hogan at the Hoffbrau, they're taking off their outer coats. The man takes off a dark brown coat and drops it. Hogan picks it up, hands it to the guy who hangs it up. The man removes his dark brown overcoat revealing a tan coat. The next shot, he"s taking off the dark brown coat again, hangs it up and goes for beer.

The Gasoline War - S5-E4

Other mistake: As Schultz goes to stick a pin in the map, he supposedly hits his finger. But if you look closely, he actually stuck it in the map at the very tip of his finger. This is clear because he didn't move the pin at all.

Movie Nut

Bombsight - S5-E7

Plot hole: Newkirk says the he'll have the film developed in about ten minutes, and goes into Hogan's wall locker. Why? They have a darkroom down in the tunnel.

The Antique - S5-E12

Question: When Hogan gives Klink $100 for the cuckoo clock, the bill handed over was a crisp American $100 note. How did Hogan get an American $100 note? At best, in this time period, he should only have Reich Marks. And how would he have 333 Marks, 33 pfennigs? Unless he had a side businesses going, this seems unlikely.

Movie Nut

Answer: It's a comedy, not a documentary.

Perhaps it was counterfeit. There are numerous episodes where they deal in counterfeit monies.

Answer: Werner Klemperer fled Nazi Germany as a teenager. His two conditions for taking the role of Colonel Klink were that he had to be a bumbling idiot and he always had to lose. It would then be a character mistake that if Hogan offers him a fresh American hundred-dollar bill, he's not going to ask questions, he's going to take the deal. The fact that he's Commandant and could just confiscate the money from Hogan would never occur to him because, again, he's a bumbling idiot who, by the actor's contract, always has to lose.

Captain Defenestrator

Chosen answer: Hogan and his men are running a spy ring out of the camp, they have access to supplies from outside. (In another episode, they have to convince a defecting German officer that they're legitimately working for the Allies by arranging a specific personal ad to run in the next day's London Times, so a new $100 bill is not beyond their capabilities).

Captain Defenestrator

Answer: Rightfully, Hogan should not have any money at all. POW were stripped of all cash they carried. The intention was to make escape more difficult. The fact that Hogan has what is the equivalent of a third of the price of a KdF-Wagen (You'd probably know it as a Volkswagen Beetle) in cash should rightfully make Klink more than a litle suspicious.
