The Journal - S8-E7

Continuity mistake: In this episode Olivia states that she conceived one month after getting married. Olivia asks John if he remembers that summer when just the two of them went camping up on the mountain, and they both recall that it was their one month anniversary after eloping. Olivia also says that she knew later that night, "That there's some kind of miracle happening inside me," and even felt that it was a boy - John-Boy, their eldest child. The problem is, in 8x1 "The Homefront," when Cindy joins Olivia in the garden, Cindy asks, "How long was it before you knew you were expecting John-Boy?" and Olivia replies, "About two years, but everybody is different..." The Violated - S8-E9

Continuity mistake: After Ike tells Corabeth his idea of having Elizabeth take Corabeth's place at the store, both Ike and Corabeth walk into the store, and during this scene we see the military honor roll board on the wall. The Move - S9-E8

Visible crew/equipment: While the family starts packing up their car with John's suitcases and boxes, right after John says, "I just don't want any kind of a big scene," a cluster of boom mics dip into view and stays there at the top of the screen, over Mary Ellen and Jason. Then in the closeup, as John agrees that they will all go see Olivia, a crew member wearing a blue shirt (with a front pocket) is visible in the vehicle's window reflection. (00:44:40)

The Reunion - S1-E14

Ike: How's it feel to be a working man?
John-Boy: Ike, Mama would skin me alive! Everyone knows those two ladies make bootleg whiskey.
Ike: But they don't know what they're doing. They're just following their papa's Recipe.
John-Boy: But sometimes they sell it!
Ike: Yeah, but they're just like two little girls by a roadside selling lemonade.

The Outrage: Part 1 - S9-E1

Trivia: While everyone is at the table eating supper and talking, little John Curtis taps on John's shoulder, then John turns and asks "What?" John Curtis points to his pants and excitedly says, "I got new pants," and John says, "I see that. Who got you those? Your mommy?" Then John Curtis looks offscreen, away from the other actors on set, and replies, "No, from Pat," (no characters named Pat are on the show) and without missing a beat, John responds, "From Pat? Where does she live? On the next farm?" And John Curtis answers, "Yeah," amidst all the giggles we can hear, so John answers with a smirk, "Okay, good!" This is such a hilariously precious unscripted moment, and great they decided to leave it in the episode. (00:26:15)
