Continuity mistake: Towards the end of this episode, West is climbing up the latter out of the ice storage room. The seat of his pants are noticeably dirty as are both of his calves' areas. When West exits onto the street, his pants are inexplicably clean during this shootout scene. During West's fight with Brutus, West's entire back - from shoulders to the bottom of the legs of his pants - has been quite dirtied from rolling on the ground. West then runs to fight Sergei. When Sergei falls off the horse, and West is hovering over him, the entire back of West's clothes now seem only to be faintly dusty. When West leaves the fight area to enter into the funeral parlor, his clothes are immaculate.

Continuity mistake: Towards the beginning of this episode when West is first taken to see the commandant, Cochon goes to the rack on the wall to get West a clean shirt. They are standing by the door where Cochon throws the dirty shirt. There are three pegs on the rack, with a shirt hanging on the leftmost peg and rightmost peg. Cochon gets the shirt off the one on the right peg. As they walk away, West's dirty shirt is now on the ground under the left peg. After the meeting with the commodant, West and Cochon leave. Cochon asks for the clean shirt that West is wearing. When Cochon goes back to the rack to get West a replacement shirt, the shirt that was on the far left peg is now on the center peg, but West's dirty shirt is still under the left peg.

Factual error: The coin Artemus hands West is a Morgan silver dollar. It's no coincidence that the actor's thumb covers the date on the coin in the inserted close-up. The series is set during Grant's presidential term in the early 1870s, and Morgan dollars weren't minted until 1878, after Grant had left office. (00:09:40)
