Krab Borg / Rock-a-Bye Bivalve - S3-E8
Corrected entry: In "Rock-A-Bye Bivalve" when Patrick says "Just call me daddy!" he raises his arms and he has a lot of armpit hair, but when he is watching T.V and raising his arms there is no armpit hair.
Nasty Patty / The Idiot Box - S3-E4
Corrected entry: In Idiot Box, when Spongebob takes out the TV at the start, he's between his and Squidward's houses. He throws it across the road, and it lands in the trash can, but it's right in front of his house.
New Student Starfish / Clams - S3-E14
Corrected entry: In New Student Starfish, when Spongebob writes Patrick's name on the good noodle board, an empty space for Patrick's name suddenly appears.
The Great Snail Race / Mid-Life Crustacean - S3-E15
Corrected entry: How can there only be the three race contestants (Squidward, Spongebob, and Patrick)? Squidward surely wouldn't have spent his hard earned money just to con the other two into joining a race, so there should be more snails in the race. If Spongebob and Patrick had decided they didn't care about the race, would Squidward's snail have won by default, since there were no other racers?
As Seen on TV / Can You Spare a Dime? - S3-E5
Corrected entry: When Spongebob is making the krabby patties, the croud shout, "Onions! Cheese!" but Spongebob never put any cheese in the krabby patties.
Nasty Patty / The Idiot Box - S3-E4
Corrected entry: When the health inspector hits his head on the table his hat falls off. Later when he's in the hole his hat is back on.
Correction: Do we really know how much time passed between these shots? Spongebob or Mr. Krabs could easily have put the hat back on the health inspector. Maybe they did it so there wouldn't be any evidence.
SpongeBob Meets the Strangler / Pranks a Lot - S3-E20
Corrected entry: If the invisible paint washes off with water, wouldn't SpongeBob/Patrick fade into view immediately (because they are underwater)?
Correction: Technically yes. But if this is a problem then we'd also have to count the whole show as a problem. Like people who live underwater drowning, blowing bubbles, and drinking beverages. Because this is a cartoon this is not a valid mistake as it's artistic license.
New Student Starfish / Clams - S3-E14
Corrected entry: In New Student Starfish, Patrick doesn't have the first clue about driving. Yet in the earlier episode "Boating School", Patrick gave Spongebob instructions how to drive via walkie-talkie-and he wasn't reading a manual to him.
Correction: Patrick's memory is just like a baby's. It's likely that he totally forgot about how to drive.
The Sponge Who Could Fly (aka The Lost Episode) - S3-E16
Corrected entry: At the end, Patchy the Pirate pushes the wrong button on the remote, and the tape starts shooting out at him. One of the next shots shows him squirming around in the tape, and then he rolls over onto his stomach. He kicks his legs in the air, and both of his feet are visible, but earlier in the episode, when he was watching the lost episode, one of his legs ended at the knee.
Correction: Remember this is Spongebob - Patchy's eye patch changes eyes various times, and remember at the beginning of the episode, he puts a fake leg on the leg that ends at the knee. Who's to say he didn't put it on whilst he was watching the episode?
The Graveyard Shift / Krusty Love - S3-E13
Corrected entry: When SpongeBob goes out to throw the trash, the sign of Krusty Krab isn't there.
Correction: First, this is not a plot hole. It should be changed to continuity, but my point is that you cannot see the sign because it is not visible from the camera angle. Imagine the Krusty Krab's shape as a rectangle. You can't see the sign because at a 90 degree angle from the door side to the short side of the rectangle, the sign is posted on the short side.
Krabby Land / The Camping Episode - S3-E19
Corrected entry: In "Krabby Land" SpongeBob arrives at the Krusty Krab, dressed like a flower, saying about the spring meaning, and so on. Later, when SpongeBob and Krabs know that there's a new park for children, Krabs says he has an idea and goes away. The next scene shows SpongeBob saying something like "What could happen with Mr. Krabs yesterday?" He says "yesterday", meaning that the scene with Mr. Krabs and the Krusty Krab was the day before. At the end of the episode, SpongeBob says "I thought I knew the spring meaning, but that was long ago." Squidward says "Wasn't that this morning?" But that was the day before, when SpongeBob arrives saying about the spring meaning dressed like a flower, not that day.
Correction: Squidward really doesn't like Spongebob. When he said, "wasn't that this morning?" he was being sarcastic and saying that Spongebob is basically stupid for changing his ideas so fast.
The Algae's Always Greener / Sponge Guard On Duty - S3-E7
Corrected entry: When Spongebob absorbs the water to save Patrick, and then throws it, you see that the lake has a large bottom. So, Patrick really could drown there. But later Larry arrives, and as he is walking in the lake, you see that the bottom of the lake is almost nothing.
Correction: This was a joke that the animators made. They were supposed to be drowning in what seemed like deep water, until Larry just casually walked in and got them.
Welcome to the Chum Bucket / Frankendoodle - S3-E2
Corrected entry: At the end, the narrator says that the artist in the boat is sleeping. But look at his eyes: they're opened.
Correction: Some people do sleep with their eyes open. I myself have witnessed my dad sleep with his eyes open.
Nasty Patty / The Idiot Box - S3-E4
Corrected entry: When SpongeBob gets the new T.V, it is huge. Later when it is in Squidward's house, it is not so huge.
The Graveyard Shift / Krusty Love - S3-E13
Corrected entry: When Spongebob and Squidward find out that the ghost is a dork, there is still one question: Why WAS the bus there in the middle of the night.
The Algae's Always Greener / Sponge Guard On Duty - S3-E7
Corrected entry: When Spongebob is scared to save Patrick, he absorbs water. Later when he drowning, why didn't he absorb the water? He is a sponge.
Correction: Spongebob was pretty freaked out when he was drowning so its likely he didn't think about this option. The other problem with trying to absorb water was how tough it was for Spongebob to do it the first time. He couldn't move, he had to dump the water right back into the lake, there was so much water and by accident he sucked Patrick up too. Even if he wanted to try again it may not have been a viable option.
Wet Painters / Krusty Krab Training Video - S3-E9
Corrected entry: On "Wet Painters," SpongeBob and Patrick are trying to solve how to clean paint from Mr. Krabs' dollar. SpongeBob is trying to clean the paint off with a big baseball bat. Patrick is holding the dollar and SpongeBob is hitting him. Patrick is in many bandages. In the next shot, they go to a computer and Patrick's bandages have disappeared.
Correction: The bandages are a joke to show how much Patrick is going through just to get the paint off the dollar.
Nasty Patty / The Idiot Box - S3-E4
Corrected entry: When SpongeBob is going to the fridge at the outside of the Krusty Krab, when it's raining, to hide the dead man there, you can see that the sign of the Krusty Krab is at the left of the Krusty Krab, instead of being at the right of it, like it's always. This could count both as Continuity error and as Plot Hole error.
Correction: As long as I've seen the show the sign has always been on the LEFT, it's in the correct position.
Nasty Patty / The Idiot Box - S3-E4
Corrected entry: In "Nasty Patty", they enter the fridge, and there's nothing in it. However, we see that in "SB-129", Squidward stays in the fridge for 2000 years, until the future, and then he returns to the past. But wouldn't SpongeBob and Krabs, when they see the fridge, see that Squidward is there, frozen?
No Weenies Allowed / Squilliam Returns - S3-E6
Corrected entry: In "Squilliam Returns", when Squidward gives up on everyone and runs out of the Krusty Krab, he runs into Squilliam. If you look at the shown window of the KK, it is the ordinary window with the ropes on it. But when they walk in, wallpaper covers all of the windows. I know that Spongebob converted the restaurant from crappy to fancy very quick, but I think we would've seen him placing wallpaper on the windows.
Correction: Patrick's excess armpit hair was done for the purpose of that joke. Many times in Spongebob, they use something for a joke and never use it again.
