Texas / Walking Small - S1-E18
Corrected entry: How can everyone in Bikini Bottom hear Sandy's song if none of them have any ears?
Correction: Who knows? The people of bikini bottom might have ears, and we just don't know it.
Culture Shock / F.U.N. - S1-E10
Corrected entry: In "F.U.N.", The police officer gives Spongebob a big donut with a ribbon on it, but he did not bring it, so he just pulls it out of nowhere, as if the donut was waiting by itself.
Correction: That's a common gag in cartoons. Even in a future episode, Fear of a Krabby Patty, how Spongebob pulled a piano out of nowhere and Plankton questioned where it came from.
Sandy's Rocket / Squeaky Boots - S1-E8
Corrected entry: Why is every single person in Bikini Bottom wide awake and living their normal lives in the dead of night? It's way past midnight and people are walking their pets and Mrs. Puff is in her school, grading papers. No school would be open that late.
Correction: When you say, "No school would be open that late", you are referring to human schools? Real schools? Schools on land? We are talking about the absurd, vivid, totally UNrealistic world of Bikini Bottom, where they may live life as they see fit.
Jellyfishing / Plankton! - S1-E3
Corrected entry: In Plankton, when Plankton is taking over SpongeBob's mind, you see that he goes through the fridge with food on his head, but in the next shot, it's gone.
Correction: While the food is gone in the next shot, the shot isn't meant to be continuous. After he walks through the fridge he's in a completely different room about to step into his pants. He had plenty of time to shake the food off, or for it to fall off, between shots.
Bubblestand / Ripped Pants - S1-E1
Corrected entry: In "Ripped Pants", SpongeBob rips the same pair of pants a lot of times.
Correction: That's the gag for the episode.
Corrected entry: In "Rock Bottom" when Spongebob gets to the kelp bar and whenever he puts his hand in the bus vrooms, but watch when he runs over to catch the bus, he runs right through it.
Correction: That's not what happens. It might look like it, but it's clear that as he approaches the bus, the bus takes off and then we see Spongebob finish crossing the road once the bus is gone.
Corrected entry: In "Rock Bottom" when it shows SpongeBob with a glove on his nose, he looks out the window. In the next two scenes, it shows him again, but this time the little glove is gone.
Correction: The glove on his nose is gone when he pulls his head back into the bus, reasonable to think he lost it while his head was out the window, because it's not as if it reappears later.
Help Wanted / Reef Blowers / Tea at the Treedome - S1-E2
Corrected entry: At the beginning of "Reef Blowers", when Squidward exits his house, you can see that strangely his color is brown. But later in the episode he returns to his normal color, a light blue.
Correction: I don't see anything odd about his color, and he's certainly not brown.
Help Wanted / Reef Blowers / Tea at the Treedome - S1-E2
Corrected entry: In "Help Wanted" when Spongebob wakes up and is climbing up the diving board the number of bars greatly maximizes when it zooms out on it.
Correction: The close up shot shows 4 rungs (bars) and the wide shot (when it zooms out), there are still 4 rungs visible.
Help Wanted / Reef Blowers / Tea at the Treedome - S1-E2
Corrected entry: In the episode "Help Wanted" when Spongebob makes Krabby Patties for the anchovies, Spongebob chops lettuce, patties, and onions for some of the buns and the buns don't have patties, tomatoes, or cheese on them. When he's done dancing, when you look at the patty buns there is no onion, but there is a patty and lettuce. Also in later episodes, the way he made those patties isn't the way he makes them now. And the way he makes them now has tomatoes and cheese on them. But this could probably be wrong due to it being a pilot episode.
Correction: First off, he's chopping lettuce, onions, and tomatoes. Not patties. Second, all the buns have patties on them. Third, just because we can't see the tomatoes and onions doesn't mean they aren't there, under the lettuce. Often (especially in drawings), lettuce will stick out from the bun edges, but tomatoes and onions usually don't. Fourth, he's making hamburgers, not cheeseburgers and we never see him pull out cheese. And finally, this was his first day on the job, and he was feeding several buses of sardines, so if he changes the way he makes them in the future, it's understandable.
Culture Shock / F.U.N. - S1-E10
Corrected entry: The chum bucket is not across the road from the Krusty Krab in this episode, but in every other episode it is.
Correction: Actually, it could be. We see that the Chum Bucket is just by the edge of town, and it is seen at the edge of the screen. Although off screen, the Krusty Krab is probably right there too.
Naughty Nautical Neighbors / Boating School - S1-E4
Corrected entry: When Patrick tells SpongeBob how to drive with the walkie-talkie, and SpongeBob starts driving with his help, you can see that in the track there's a wall of red bricks, that he must not crash. In order for not to crash it, SpongeBob must continue the road, turn left, turn right and turn right again. However, Patrick just says to continue the road, turn left and turn right. He didn't say about turning right again, and SpongeBob must have turned right to continue in the road. However, SpongeBob does continue in the road.
Culture Shock / F.U.N. - S1-E10
Corrected entry: In "Culture Shock," at the beginning of the talent show, Squidward says, "Welcome to the first annual Talent Show," which means they would have one once a year. However, at the end of the episode, Mr. Krabs says something like, "I can't wait till next week's show," meaning they would have one once a week.
Correction: Mr. Krabs says this after he notices the big wheelbarrow of money. We can assume he changed the talent show from once a year to once a week to get more money.
MuscleBob BuffPants / Squidward, the Unfriendly Ghost - S1-E11
Corrected entry: If Squidward's sculpture melted, wouldn't the eyes melt too?
Correction: This is a question, not a movie mistake. It is never mentioned that the whole sculpture is made from the same material, so we can assume that the eyes were made from some other material, otherwise they would have melted like the rest of the sculpture.
Fools in April / Neptune's Spatula - S1-E19
Corrected entry: When Squidward is running to catch Spongebob, the people in the background and the foreground just repeat over and over (like the fish in the pink in the front is seen about three times) almost like it is a loop.
Correction: This is a common animation technique used in almost every cartoon to save time and energy. No mistake here.
Jellyfishing / Plankton! - S1-E3
Corrected entry: In "Plankton", when Plankton has Spongebob in his laboratory, Plankton plays his record of evil music. However, he left the record on Spongebob's bed earlier in the episode.
Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy / Pickles - S1-E6
Corrected entry: Before Spongebob and Patrick takes their donuts, Patrick chooses one without chocolate. After a while we see it and now it's with chocolate.
Correction: When Patrick takes his donut we only see one side of it, and since the chocolate glaze is only on one side of the donut, we wouldn't be able to see it if the glaze was on the other side.
SB-129 / Karate Choppers - S1-E14
Corrected entry: In karate choppers, when Spongebob slices the 'barnacle loaf' the piece flies into the air. As it falls past the mustard bottle, the mustard disappears. It's like the barnacle loaf erases the bottle.
Correction: Not true. Watch carefully and you see it falls over and rolls away.
Corrected entry: When Spongebob is stranded in Rock Bottom and gets on the bus he says he has no money, but later on in this episode, while still stranded, he now has money for the kelp machine.
Bubblestand / Ripped Pants - S1-E1
Corrected entry: In "Ripped Pants" when Spongebob rips his pants off when he is singing the song and he only has on underpants and shoes, but the sleeves are still on, even though his shirt is off.
Correction: It's a cartoon. You must suspend disbelief.
