Plot hole: Chloe writes her phone number on Sean's hand. It disappears when we see him struggling against the ice of the lake, then reappears in the scene where he is calling old girlfriends. And how exactly would pen ink survive several hours submerged in water and then another eight hours of normal activity without becoming blurred? (00:04:15 - 00:19:50)
Continuity mistake: When Sean emerges from the lake and goes to the campfire, his clothes are completely dry despite the fact that he was totally underwater for hours. (00:04:50)
Audio problem: Sean drops frozen Jenna and she shatters. He then manages to casually walk out of the room over her without crunching any of the ice. (00:17:30)
Continuity mistake: When Chloe and Clark are at the Torch after the pool incident with Shawn, Chloe is sitting down wrapped up in a green sweater and a blue jacket with part of her blouse showing. In the next shot, she is fully wrapped in the green sweater. Seconds later, her sweater is tucked into her jacket and her blouse is showing. (00:28:00)
Continuity mistake: As Sean sucks electricity at the power station, his arms are bent in the first shot and fully extended in the next. (00:31:25)
Audio problem: When Sean flags down Whitney's truck, we hear his brakes squeal as he slams on the pedal. A few quick cuts later we see him do the same thing, apparently for the first time. (00:33:25)
Continuity mistake: When Sean is in the nurses office, having his temperature taken, the light on his left side is on. After the nurse wants to retake the temperature the light is now off.
Continuity mistake: In the closeup when Zoe is introduced, the button just above her apron is buttoned. In the next shot of her walking through the cafe, it is unbuttoned. (00:07:35)
Continuity mistake: When Henry falls into the pond, the first time, there are several small pylons connected by a chain when the camera is on the walkway. When the camera is in the water, showing Henry as he hits the water, neither the pylons or the chain is visible. There is just an open space where the chair falls over.
Continuity mistake: As Harry goes into the pond the second time the pylons are connected now with yellow crime scene tape when the camera is out over the water looking at Harry on the walkway. As the camera is in the water, watching Harry fall in, the pylons are gone, even though they should be in the shot, and are connected by a wire instead of crime scene tape.
Character mistake: Chloe hands Clark a newspaper with the list of jury members from Harry Volk's trial. As he reads the list he says "Rudolph Gage, Rita Garfield". After Clark realizes that his grandfather, Hiram Kent, is on the jury he hands the paper to Lana. A shot of the newspaper has the jury members listed as Randolph Gage, and Eve Garfield. Even young Harry calls her Eve when confronting Zoe at The Beanery.
Continuity mistake: When Jodie hits the deer her vehicle spins out. As it is spinning the headlights are not projecting any kind of visible beam. After the car stops, and she is facing the deer she hit, the headlight is now projecting a very bright beam to illuminate the deer on the road.
Continuity mistake: For several shots during the early scene with the baby in the crib, the blanket changes back and forth from tucked up to the chin, up to the shoulders, and up to the stomach in different angles. (00:01:55)
Continuity mistake: At the beginning, as the mother tucks the blanket up to the child's neck, she changes from both hands on the infant to one hand on the crib. (00:01:55)
Revealing mistake: In the early scene with the baby, there are a few overhead shots of the parents and child. It is clear that in these shots a fake baby was used - he is completely motionless, even though he was moving arms and legs before and after and is crying. (00:02:00 - 00:03:15)
Continuity mistake: While Earl is in the hospital bed, his grip on the microphone to the waiting room changes from up to down and back. (00:17:55)
Audio problem: Clark listens to his father and Earl talking in the hospital through the visitor window. The sound is the same volume and quality as when Earl was using the microphone, which he is not using now. Even if Clark used super-hearing to eavesdrop, it wouldn't sound the same as the microphone. (00:18:35)
Answer: No, there is no such character in the comics. He's a "meteor-freak" like all the other baddies on the show. The sound has something to do with him vibrating his vocal cords very fast to create a high-pitched squeal.
