Memoria - S3-E19

Visible crew/equipment: When Prof. Joseph Willowbrook and Lionel Luther walk down the steps of a building, talking about the possible whereabouts of Jeremiah Holdsclaw, they begin to cross the courtyard, which is bathed in sunlight. As they walk across, and eventually walk under another building, as they cross the courtyard, you can see the shadow of a large reflector board moving along with them as they walk.

Memoria - S3-E19

Continuity mistake: During the flashback that happens at the Luthor mansion, the one that starts with the cup shattering on the floor, young Lex is shown peeking through a slightly cracked open door. Just after Lionel asks the nanny to give him Julian there is a shot of Lex peeking in and you can see that he has hair on his forehead. Now Lex, at this point, would have been bald, as a result of the meteor shower in Smallville for several years and would have no hair at all on his head in this flashback. In fact when Lionel finally realizes that Lex is outside the door we see that Lex has no hair on his head.

Suggested correction: Lex is bald but still has eyebrows. There's never a shot of young Lex with hair on his head. You never even see his head when he's peeking, but you do see the hair from his eyebrows.

Memoria - S3-E19

Continuity mistake: As Clark is sitting in his barn's loft his mother enters while he watches a model of the solar system. In the shot when he turns it off the large red globe, which looks to be Jupiter, stops well to the right of the model's sun in this shot. When the shot returns to Clark, Jupiter is now partially in front of the sun. Clark had not moved his hand from the off switch so he didn't move the model by hand and the model would have taken longer to make another rotation to put in that position.

Memoria - S3-E19

Continuity mistake: When Lionel Luthor shows Clark the video clip of Belle Reve from the episode "Asylum", Lex says "I know your secret Clark". However, in the actual episode of "Asylum" he simply states "I know your secret", without saying "Clark" at the end.

Talisman - S3-E20

Visible crew/equipment: When Jeremiah has just stabbed Clarke in the barn, after he goes down the steps and the camera follows him walking away you see the back of one crew member's head and then a second crew member's, starting in the bottom right of the screen. Just before scene cuts to black you see the first crew member turn his head to the left. (00:26:46)

Talisman - S3-E20

Continuity mistake: After Lionel and Professor Willowbrook finish talking Clark shows up to talk to the professor. As they talk, while the camera is behind Prof. Willowbrook, he has bright sunshine on his suit coat. When the camera is behind Clark the light on Prof. Willowbrook's right shoulder is gone.

Talisman - S3-E20

Continuity mistake: When Clark sees that Jeremiah is in the loft, Clark stands up and closes the book he was reading as he says "What are you doing here?". The very next shot from behind Clark shows that the book is back to being open.

Forsaken (1) - S3-E21

Continuity mistake: As Lionel says "Good morning, Miss Sullivan." there is a camera change from Chloe's left to her right. When the camera is on the left, her left arm is down. When the camera jumps to her right her left arm is now in the middle of placing something high up on the layout board she is using.

Forsaken (1) - S3-E21

Continuity mistake: As Pete gets into his car the shadow from the car is extending out away from the passenger side of the car. As Pete starts to drive off, just a few seconds later, the shadow is now extending out past the back of his car.

Forsaken (1) - S3-E21

Audio problem: After Clark asks Lana to have dinner with him, and she says it's not such a good idea, the camera shot changes so that Lana is on the right side of the shot. In that shot Lana's mouth is moving like she is talking to Clark only you don't hear what she is saying.

Forsaken (1) - S3-E21

Continuity mistake: Just before Lex has his father arrested they are talking while Lionel sits behind his desk. In the shot of Lionel from his side of the desk there is a flat panel monitor behind his keyboard. In shots from Lex's side of the desk the monitor is gone. It returns as FBI agent Loder walks in and Lex stands up.

Forsaken (1) - S3-E21

Deliberate mistake: When Clark is chasing Emily at light speed, Clark decides to use heat vision to knock the water tower down. The water tower shouldn't have had enough time to fall down and intercept Emily, seeing as she's travelling too fast.

Forsaken (1) - S3-E21

Continuity mistake: When Lex tells Clark about Lionel finding the wire, Clark moves over to Lex and says that finding something incriminating on Lionel shouldn't be too difficult. Between shots, Lex and Clark's positions change in relation to each other.

Forsaken (1) - S3-E21

Continuity mistake: While Clark and Pete are playing basketball, in the wide shot Clark and Pete, and the side of the barn where the hoop is, are in full sunlight. When the shot zooms in Clark and the barn are now in shadow.

Forsaken (1) - S3-E21

Continuity mistake: After Lionel finds out about the wire that Lex has been wearing, he sits down and tells Lex to get out. As Lex leaves, in the wide shot, Lionel drops his hands down to his lap. In the zoomed in shot Lionel's hands are up to his face as he plays with the wire. There was no time for him to make that move between shots.

Forsaken (1) - S3-E21

Continuity mistake: As Emily lies on the ground unconscious after being hit with the water, she is first shown lying there with her right arm bent up and her hand up by her head. After a quick shot of Clark she now has her right hand down by her side.

Covenant (2) - S3-E22

Revealing mistake: Loder gets scared and tries to get away from Kara. He takes off down the road at a significant rate of speed. Kara uses her super speed to get in front of the car. Loder has to slam on his brakes to keep from hitting her. At the speed Loder was going at he should have either skidded to a stop or hit Kara with his car. Loder is able to stop his car without doing either.

Covenant (2) - S3-E22

Plot hole: When Kara realizes that Agent Loder is listening in on the conversation, she runs out to his car to stop him. She has Clark's ability of super speed which she uses to get over to Loder's car. As she runs she ends up running through a wooden fence and you can see, through the motion blur of her movement, she neither jumps over the fence or goes around it yet the fence never gets damaged from her running through it.

Covenant (2) - S3-E22

Audio problem: After Clark tells Lex why he didn't tell him that Lex's father killed his parents Clark finishes his line by saying "...I couldn't live with that." The camera jumps to Clark's right and you can see he says "I couldn't live with that" again only no sound is heard.

Season 4 generally

Revealing mistake: When Lucy plays her violin in Lex's mansion, it's obvious the actress isn't actually playing - her fingers aren't moving and the box is out of time with the music.

Shimmer - S1-E10

Lana Lang: That's the thing about Clark Kent. He's not always there when you want him... But he's always there when you need him.

Trivia: Jerry Siegel, the co-creator of the Clark Kent/Superman character worked on a school magazine when he was at Glenville High School, Cleveland. The magazine was called The Torch - the same name of Smallville High's school magazine, edited by Chloe Sullivan and with Clark Kent as an on/off contributor.

More trivia for Smallville

Answer: In the comics, Krypto is a dog from Krypton who was used as the passenger in a test launch by Jor-El, Superman's father, before he launched the actual rocket taking his infant son to Earth. Krypto's capsule was involved in a mishap, sending it out of Kryptonian orbit and eventually found its way to Earth where he linked up with the young Clark Kent. Like any native of Krypton, Krypto has superpowers on Earth. In Smallville, the dog is a standard Earth dog who has been experimentally injected with kryptonite, giving him super-strength for a limited period of time, who escapes and links up with Clark (who suggests the name Krypto, ostensibly because of the dog's cryptic origins). It doesn't take too long for the dog's strength to fade, and the Kents decide to keep him, although they ultimately name him Shelby, after a dog that Martha Kent had in childhood.
