Grissom's Divine Comedy - S8-E12
Continuity mistake: When Warrick demands to see the hands of a suspect, the suspect refuses and Warrick pushes him up against a wall. During which time, there are multiple angles which show Warrick wearing sunglasses, then suddenly not wearing them anymore. (00:23:30)
Continuity mistake: Season 9, episode 3 "Art Imitates Life": When J. Skaggs is being interrogated by Brass he has his hands on his lap. In the next shot they are both on the table.
Other mistake: When Brass is asking if a witness or someone they are speaking with knows the victim, you can see the victim's name on the bottom of the crime scene photo before brass is supposed to know the identity of the victim.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Riley Adams takes a victim's wallet from David Phillips, she takes the wallet with her left hand with no glove on. Next shot Riley has gloves on both hands.
19 Down (1) - S9-E9
Factual error: Season 9, Episode 9 - 19, "Down": Towards the end of the episode they are searching along railroad tracks. A MetroLink train passes by. MetroLink serves the greater Los Angeles area, but does not serve Las Vegas.
Factual error: At the time where they are looking into the moon and the time, they misstate the time the moon rose in 1997 and they state that the moon was waning, when it actually waxed in the middle of June in 1997. (00:33:00)
Disarmed and Dangerous - S9-E12
Plot hole: Series 9 episode 12: "Agent Hartford" had no fingerprints: the FBI "removed" them. But when they find the street piece that Vinny had, they dust it and say that Hartford's prints were all over it. This might be OK, if he were a real agent on the books (but they never heard of him at Quantico), or if he were a real criminal - but in that case, they would have sussed it all out earlier.
Factual error: When Nick picks up the contact lens from the PI's body, you can tell from the way it bends while he is holding it with the forceps that it is soft and pliable, as if it had just come out of the eye. However, after 6-12 hours outside of an eye or a contact case (the amount of time David says the PI has been dead), a soft contact will dry out and become wrinkled and hard.
Plot hole: Episode 9-18, "Turn, Turn Turn": Greg states that the dead motel manager crawled up into the ceiling the same way that he did, and you see Nick open the access panel in the ceiling. The manager couldn't have closed the ceiling panel after him and no one was managing the hotel in the week he was missing. The panel should have been open when Nick came into the room. The new manager stated he didn't know if there was a panel in that room, since he just got there.
Continuity mistake: Season 10, episode 3 "Working Stiffs": The picture of the employees holding a sign at work with the X's through them at Paulie's house changes between two completely different photos when far away vs. up close.
Other mistake: Season 10, episode 4 "Coup de Grace": When Nick is doing the phenolphthalein test on the q-tip, it turns pink immediately and starts to overflow pink coloring all the way down the side of the stick, which is not how that test works. Normally it takes a few seconds and only turns color around where the blood is.
Continuity mistake: When Brass calls Dr. Ray and gets his voicemail instead, Brass raises the phone to his ear twice. (00:02:00)
Continuity mistake: When Nick asks Dr. Ray what he's doing out on the Strip instead of at their crime scene, and Ray shows him the photograph of Madeline Briggs, his hand moves from the top of the photo to the bottom in consecutive shots. (00:03:20)
Continuity mistake: When Hodges shows Dr. Ray and Nick the information from Dede Chase's cell phone, Ray's arms change position between shots from the tabletop in front of him to crossed across his chest. (00:08:55)
Continuity mistake: Near the start, when Ray is showing the photograph of Madeline with the security guard to passersby asking if they've seen her and also when he shows it to Nick, we can see the photo Ray is holding out in the wide shots, but in the two closeups of the photograph it's actually a different photo. Then later, when Ray shows the photo to Madeline's mother it's the same as the one from the closeup earlier.
Other mistake: In the first scene when we see Dr Langston from behind as he's watching people passing by he's wearing glasses but when we see his face he's not wearing any. (00:00:15)
Revealing mistake: When Nick is in the shed in the desert, sunlight is coming in through hundreds of holes in the walls and roof. Since the sun is in one spot, all beams of light should be in the general same direction. In this scene they come from at least 5 different directions, with some originating from a light source very close to the outer wall (causing beams in a radial pattern).
Shock Waves - S11-E1
Character mistake: When Sarah enters the lab with the bagged microchip, she tells Greg and the other CSI that she got it from Doc Robbins, when it was Super Dave who'd found it during autopsy.
Suggested correction: Sarah is standing beside Dr. Robbins when he finds the SIM card within what's left of Officer Clark's chest cavity, during autopsy (timecode 00:19:35). Dave wasn't even near Clark, he was with the corpses of Officers Morales and Hooper.
Shock Waves - S11-E1
Revealing mistake: When the bomber is shot in front of the store, he is standing in front of a shop window. It's highly unlikely that the window wouldn't get hit and shatter. The cops fire at least a couple of dozen rounds, and magically they all hit the body, nobody misses in the heat of the moment, and no bullets exit the body from the back.
Blood Moon - S11-E3
Continuity mistake: When Nick is talking to Catherine about what happened at the night of the murder he folds his arms. In the next show they are unfolded. Although you can't see his arms entirely, it becomes clear from the position of his shoulders and the wrinkle in the middle of his shirt that instantly disappears.
