Suggested correction: Homer pulls up in the car with his white shirt on. The very next shot is him walking in. We don't see him park or get out of the car. What's to say he didn't just grab a jacket out of the car?

Lisa's Pony - S3-E8

Continuity mistake: In the last shot of Marge and Homer's discussion of buying a pony, we can see a door on the right side of the screen. This door changes position when Lisa rides in the bedroom with her pony. (00:08:45 - 00:12:10)

Lisa's Sax - S9-E3

Continuity mistake: In the episode 'Lisa's Sax' (season 9, ep. 3), King Toot's music store is across the street from Moe's Tavern. However, in numerous later episodes, there are stills of Moe's Tavern that show King Toot's music store next door, not across the street as in the aforementioned episode.

Treehouse of Horror XIV - S15-E1

Continuity mistake: When the younger Professor Frink is receiving and wearing his Nobel Prize, his father goes nuts and starts stealing people's brains. The younger Frink figures out that kicking the elder Frink in the crotch will stop him. When he does, and the elder Frink falls off the stage, he is wearing the Nobel Prize, not the younger. (00:15:00)

Cape Feare - S5-E2

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the episode when we see MacBain on TV he goes through a curtain, the curtain stays open for a second even though he isn't touching it.

E-I-E-I-(Annoyed Grunt) - S11-E5

Revealing mistake: After Lisa says "For a product that's evil and deadly" while standing in front of the tomacco stand, there's a duplicate Lisa behind her that stands still while she moves, giving Lisa the appearance of having two heads. It looks like the animators made a mistake while trying to animate Lisa.

The Color Yellow - S21-E13

Factual error: In the scene where Lisa's great great grandmother, and the slave Virgil escape to Canada, they enter Canada across a suspension bridge, which has, on the Canadian side, the Canadian Maple Leaf flag. In 1860, Canada was not yet even a country, and the flag was the Union Jack and the Canadian Ensign. The Maple Leaf was not adopted as the Canadian flag until February 15, 1965.

The Cartridge Family - S9-E5

TV Announcer: The Continental Soccer Association is coming to Springfield. It's all here: fast kicking, low scoring. And ties? You bet.
Bart: Hey Dad, how come you've never taken us to see a soccer game?
Homer: I don't know.
TV Announcer: You'll see all your favorite soccer stars. Like Arriaga, Arriaga II, Barriaga, Aruglia, and Pizzozza.
Homer: Oh, I've never heard of those people.
TV Announcer: And they'll all be signing autographs.
Homer: Woohoo!
TV Announcer: This match will determine once and for all which nation is the greatest on Earth. Mexico or Portugal.
