The Cautionary Tale Of Numero Cinco - S5-E6
Corrected entry: When Angel is outside looking for Number 5, he is stabbed in the stomach by a demon. The next scene is when Angel returns to Wolfram & Hart right after this happens and he is still wearing the same clothes. He mentions he is still in pain and yet there are no rips or tears in his shirt and no blood stains.
Smile Time - S5-E14
Corrected entry: When Fred, Wesley, Gunn and Angel plan to go to the studio where "Smile Time" is filmed and they are about to leave, Puppet Angel takes a sword down from the wall behind his desk. Fred opens the door and Puppet Angel is still behind his desk. However, as they walk down the hall when the dramatic music begins to play, Puppet Angel is suddenly in front of the group. There wasn't enough time for Angel to get in front of them when Fred opens the door.
Correction: When they leave the office it is a new scene, there's no indication of how much time has passed so it's perfectly plausible that Angel is now in front.
Corrected entry: In this episode, you can see that Spike is sitting in the Viper and touching the steering wheel. He shouldn't be able to sit or touch the car, because in later episodes, Spike says that he has to concentrate to be able to touch something.
Correction: Spike does not need to concentrate all the time. If that was true he would not be able to stay in angels office, he would fall through the floor. Sub conciously he knows he could sit and hold onto the wheel of the car.
Corrected entry: In "A Hole in the World," while Fred is laying in the infirmary she calls Angel "a big, handsome man who saves me from the monsters". Those are the exact same words that she called Angel when he saved her in Pylea in season 2.
Corrected entry: Angel says at the end that the cyborg version of Wesley's father probably learned all he knew from the files at the Watcher's Council, but in the Buffy episode "Bring On The Night" Giles makes it clear that all the files belonging to the Council were destroyed in the explosion, so where did the cyborgs find out every detail of Wesley's life (back to age 7)? Wesley only started working at Wolfram and Hart a few months after "Bring On The Night", so they wouldn't have known to gather information on him before the Council was blown up, and we know they didn't get it from his real family as, when Wesley talks to them at the end of the episode, it's clear they have no idea what's happened.
Correction: Not all the files belonging to the Watchers Council were destroyed though. Rutherford Circe took a number of them with him when he defected to Wolfram & Hart, so other White Hats could have leaked information to the enemy as well.
Corrected entry: Angel, Spike, and Lorne track Eve down to Lindsey's apartment and come in to question her. Who invited Angel and Spike? (It's not public accommodations, because we find out earlier in the show that Lindsey's signed a lease.).
Correction: Lindsey signed a lease for the apartment Spike was living in. He was also no longer in that dimension, therefore, not considered alive. Also due to all the markings to mask the apartment would mean no one lived there.
Hell Bound - S5-E4
Corrected entry: In the scene where Spike takes the elevator down to the basement, he is walking down the spooky corridor. If he is suppose to be non-corporeal, his shoes shouldn't make any sound as he walks but you can hear his footsteps.
Correction: The rules governing Spike's entire existence can be changed on whim by Pavayne - since he's trying to spook Spike by making him walk down the creepy, badly lit corridor, echoing footsteps seems to be the next logical step.
Corrected entry: In the episode "A Hole in the World" there's a connection between the Angel and Spike argument about who would win in a fight between cavemen vs. astronauts and Fred becoming Illyria. Like Illyria the cavemen are old and powerful while Fred is a scientist like astronauts. A little before she dies Fred says of course the caveman would win. She then dies and is taken over by Illyria.
Corrected entry: Considering that Spike never visited Sunnydale or L.A. during Wesley's tenure in either place, and Wesley was in England before that, how does Wesley recognise him straight away? Even if he's heard about him from Angel or in books why would he assume that this is him? Some people suggest Wesley found a picture of Spike while researching Angel's past, but Giles conducted a similar investigation in season 1 but had never even heard of Spike in 'School Hard', let alone know his image well enough to recognise him on sight. Unless Wesley is a substantially better researcher (unlikely, given Giles' experience) he shouldn't know him so well.
Hell Bound - S5-E4
Corrected entry: When Spike and Angel are talking in Angel's apartment. Spike sits down on Angel's couch. At that time he hadn't realized that he could "will" himself to touch and affect objects around him. Therefore he would have fallen through the couch, much less make the cushions move when he sat.
Correction: Later on in this episode the "Reaper" explains that he has complete control over how Spike interacts with the living world. This explains how he was talking to Fred earlier in the episode and then suddenly fell through the floor. Or when the Reaper made Spike invisible to everyone around him. The Reaper wanted to mess with his mind by constantly changing the rules like this.
Corrected entry: Nina asks if Angel can cure her of lycanthropy, and he says no. But why can't he? In the fourth season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Oz found a way to prevent the transformation through meditation. That information should be available to the characters on this show as well.
Correction: Oz gains a measure of control through meditation, but as the events of that Buffy episode show, he was still prone to "wolfing-out" under certain circumstances. This hardly qualifies as a cure, so Angel was quite correct to tell Nina that he couldn't cure her.
Corrected entry: Given that that everyone in Wolfram and Hart was killed back in season 4's "Long Day's Journey", how is it possible so many people are talking about last year's Halloween party in "Life Of The Party"? While one or two may have survived by not coming into work that day, it's unlikely that many people would be working there now for more than a few months.
Correction: No-one survived by avoiding work - Lilah says in a later episode that the beast tracked down everyone who worked there. However, at the end of series 4, we find out that the LA office has been completely rebuilt and restaffed. It's conceivable that everyone was brought in from another office, or even another dimension, and so all know of the same party.
Correction: It's two different colors. When Angel is outside looking for Number 5 and gets stabbed by the demon, it's a blue shirt. When you see him in the next scene coming into the office, it's a different color shirt. That's why there's no rips or blood on it - he changed.
