11:00 P.M.-12:00 Midnight - S1-E24
Trivia: In the final episode of the first series, when Nina is erasing information from the computer, all the pictures you can see on the screen are of the cast and crew. One of these pictures features Kiefer Sutherland kissing a small cuddly toy.
Trivia: Reiko Aylesworth based her performance as Michelle Dessler on her mother.
Trivia: The ninth episode of season 7, 4:00pm-5:00pm, was the first episode filmed after the 2007 Writer's Guild strike, and was produced concurrently with 24: Redemption.
Trivia: This is a very strange observation that I made of the scene where George enters Jack's office as he's changing. Just after George says he's in charge, Jack jokingly says, "So they thought you'd do a better job keeping an eye on me than Alberta would." Just at that moment, he kicks a shoebox out of his way, and the sound it makes sounds exactly like a rimshot of a drum, unintentionally making a mockery of the joke he just made.
Trivia: During this season, the computers used by the villains are all PCs, while all the computers used by the good guys are Macs.
Day 2: 5:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M. - S2-E10
Trivia: Fans have long speculated what Jack whispers to Nina in this episode. According to Kiefer Sutherland the scripted line was "I am going to hunt you down for as long as you live" but what he actually whispered was "I love you Sarah, why did you marry Xander?" Sarah is the name of the actress playing Nina and she is married to Xander Berkley who played George Mason. Apparently Sutherland whispered this to get a more interesting reaction from Nina.
Day 3: 11:00 P.M.-12:00 A.M. - S3-E11
Trivia: When the CTU personnel are in a meeting and Adam brings a picture of Nina onto the big screen, the name next to the picture is Sarah Berkeley, which is Sarah Clarke's married name. Clarke has been married to Xander Berkeley since 2002.
Day 6: 6:00 AM - 7:00 AM - S6-E1
Trivia: This was Eric Balfour's first appearance as Milo Pressman since Day 1 - 3:00pm-4:00pm. In-universe, Pressman's last appearance was more than nine years before.
Trivia: Peter Weller, Paul McCrane, and Ray Wise all appeared together in the film RoboCop. Kurtwood Smith, who played that film's villain, is currently a (special) guest star in season 7.
Trivia: The house used as the Warner residence was once owned by both Bing Crosby and Andy Griffith.
Day 6: 6:00 AM - 7:00 AM - S6-E1
Trivia: Stephen Merchant, co-creator of "The Office" (original UK version) makes a cameo as a CTU worker who Nadia Yassir hands a document to. Merchant's co-creator/star, Ricky Gervais, also filmed a cameo as a presidential aide, but was eventually cut; Gervais' cameo is located in the deleted scenes on the DVD box set. (00:07:05)
Trivia: Wayne Palmer was the first president who was actually seen in the Oval Office during his term in office.
Day 2: 12:00 Noon-1:00 P.M. - S2-E5
Trivia: The first episode to feature Harris Yulin, it was aired on the same night Yulin's character on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" was killed.
Day 3: 7:00 A.M.-8:00 A.M. - S3-E19
Trivia: The website for Sylvia Imports which David Palmer must use to provide Stephen Saunders with a list of the 42 overseas agents actually exists. On it is written: "Sylviaimports.com - A Big Thank-you from the crew of 24. Thanks for watching, we love making it for you, and yes, we did get picked up for Season 4."
Day 2: 7:00 A.M.-8:00 A.M. - S2-E24
Trivia: The final scene of this episode was filmed with a "false beat" ending that showed Palmer standing up again straight after Mandy's attack and getting back into his limo. This was done to stop anyone other than the those who needed to, knowing the ending of the series before it was aired.
Trivia: On the DVD, the writers revealed that they originally planned for a subplot regarding Josh Bauer's paternity. Originally the idea was that he would turn out to be Jack's son, but this idea was later changed into him being Philip Bauer's son. This idea wasn't scrapped until they wrote the final episode of the season. Philip Bauer was going to reveal the truth to Josh at the oil rig, but the idea was abandoned because it would add too much drama to an already dramatic situation.
Trivia: In Series 6 (Day 6), Eddie Izzard was originally cast as Darren McCarthy, but only filmed for one day and then pulled out due to a 'scheduling conflict'.
Day 5: 7:00 A.M.-8:00 A.M. - S5-E1
Trivia: Reiko Aylesworth and Dennis Haysbert were contracted to appear only in this episode. This information was leaked onto the internet, and many fans of the show were able to determine the fates of Michelle and Palmer several months before the episode aired.
Answer: According to Jack in season 5, Nina was "deep cover" before the pair ever met, so it's safe to assume she was recruited before she joined CTU. As for what her primary mission was, who knows? Perhaps it was to gather sensitive intel and pass it on to her superiors. Given that she worked for an intelligence agency, it's not a stretch. Or perhaps we may find out in season seven.
