Trivia: The Simpsons holds the record for most guest stars; it is also the only non-variety show to have had appearances from three former Beatles (Paul, George and Ringo).

Trivia: It's in this episode that the Heimlich Maneuver is used for the first time by the paramedics. At the USC game, when a guy is choking on a hot dog, John and Roy are called, and John uses the Heimlich. Up until season 6 we've seen the guys use other methods, such as the ChokeSaver which look like huge white tweezers, to remove obstructions in an airway, as seen in 4x9, "Foreign Trade."
Trivia: Ted Cassidy, best known for his role as Lurch in the hit TV series "The Addams Family", did the opening narration for the show as well as the vocal effects for the Hulk. Sadly, Ted Cassidy died during production of Season 2. The Hulk's vocal effects were then done by actor Charles Napier for the rest of the show. Ted Cassidy's voice was still used for the opening narrations of all seasons.

Trivia: In this episode, Sheldon and Amy are trying to decide on couples' themed Halloween costumes. Sheldon is standing in front of the dry erase board. There are 2 columns written on the board. One named "Couples I Like" and the other "Couples You Like." Under the "Couples You Like" column, one of the couples is Blossom and Joey. Blossom is the name of the television character played by Mayim Bialik in the 90s and Joey was one of her brothers.
Trivia: A clever, subtle hint as to Mason's guilt - Columbo arrives at the animal pound just in time to stop him feeding Laurel and Hardy (the dogs he trained to kill on command) a large amount of chocolate treats. He has planned this murder meticulously, and he would be aware that chocolate is extremely toxic to dogs. The amount he is planning to feed them from the bulging bag of large chocolate balls he is holding would kill both dogs within hours if ingested.
Trivia: When Al and Peg are in the video store looking for a movie to rent, the video store is giving away free copies of the movie "Dutch" which is a comedy that starred Ed O'Neill.

Trivia: There were no American planes shot down over the Sea of Japan during the Korean conflict. Dick's Big Giant Headache (1) - S4-E23
Trivia: When the Solomons meet the Big Giant Head at the airport and ask how his flight was, he says that it was horrible because when he looked out the airplane window, he saw something on the wing of the plane. Dick responds that the same thing happened to him. William Shatner appeared in the 1960's Twilight Zone episode "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" in which a gremlin tried to destroy the wing of a plane. John Lithgow appeared in "Twilight Zone: The Movie" playing the same character in the same situation.
One Henry, Three Girls: Part 1 - S2-E2
Trivia: When Kid Danger and Veronica are about to kiss in the park, the old man who stop them is holding a book called "Good Burger." The show's writer, Dan Scheider also wrote for the show Good Burger.
Trivia: Gene Roddenberry created the transporter as an easier (and cheaper) way of getting Enterprise crew members onto a planet's surface, rather than landing the ship on the planet.
