Continuity mistake: When Carrie is trying to hail a cab, you can see her walking down a busy street in NYC. Big's black sedan is nowhere in sight. But a moment later; his black car suddenly pulls over to the curb right behind her, as if it was just next to her in traffic. There was no time for it to have come from anywhere else, or across from a far lane. The car was not further down the street coming towards her either, as you can see from the long shot. Big's sedan was not present in the street, before it pulled to the curb behind her. (00:14:45)
Continuity mistake: When Carrie climbs into Big's car, she puts her bags in first, in between her and him. When the shot changes, a split second later her bags are suddenly tucked down by her legs on her other side. (00:15:15)
Continuity mistake: When Miranda says bye to Steve after he proposes, in the front angle she holds the door from the upper part, but in the angle shot from the side she is holding the middle part.
Continuity mistake: When Carrie gets in Big's car a group of bystanders can't help staring at the shooting of the scene.
Continuity mistake: After Carrie tells Miranda "Now that I'm stuck with the bad ring" there's a wide angle where Miranda's right arm is suddenly raised against her cheek.
Continuity mistake: When Charlotte leaves dinner to argue with Trey she leaves her napkin on the table, but it disappears a shot later. A shot later it reappears.
Continuity mistake: When the girls have dinner, Carrie has a glass in her hand that swaps to a napkin a shot later.
Continuity mistake: When Trey shows up at the diner his hand is away from Charlotte or cuddling her arm, depending on the shot.
Continuity mistake: After Charlotte tells Trey that the girls are coming over to dinner, he is holding a cup in one shot and a newspaper a shot later.
Continuity mistake: While having breakfast, Trey folds the newspaper and then the shot swaps to an aerial angle where the newspaper is back to unfolded.
Continuity mistake: At the bar "Trade" Charlotte is having tape on her upper body in one shot, but it disappears a second later when she sees Anthony. She has no time to take it off. (00:03:45)
Continuity mistake: At the club, when Oliver tells Carrie that he makes discounts to columnist, a man behind her sneaks in and raises his hand to order a drink. A shot later it's lowered. (00:05:45)
Continuity mistake: At Sam's office, his boss holds the paper perpendicular to his body or parallel, depending on the shot.
Continuity mistake: Miranda asks for the biscottis and Charlotte bends over to give them to her. A mere frame later she has managed to raise up and turn towards Sam to grab the drinks.
Continuity mistake: At Bungalow 8 a man in a red shirt places both hands on Oliver's shoulder, but it swaps to just one hand a shot later. This swaps back and forth all the time.
Continuity mistake: When the girls watch gay porn Charlotte holds the biscotti box with one hand, but a shot later she holds it with both.
Continuity mistake: When Carrie is at her place trying on the ring, her hands are either close to the table or away. This changes back and forth.
Continuity mistake: During lunch, when Oliver says he's not monogamous, the way Carrie holds her drink is inconsistent in every single shot.
