Character mistake: The episode opens late at night when Syrus overhears Banner on a call where he discusses burying Jaden alive. The next morning is a classroom scene where Banner says the field trip will take place on Saturday at 7am, and the next scene shows Jaden, Syrus, Chumley and Alexis outside the school at 7am waiting for Banner to arrive. In this scene, Syrus tells Jaden he heard Banner talk about burying Jaden alive the previous night, but by this point, at least two nights must have passed. (00:03:48)
Continuity mistake: After Syrus explains to Jaden the call he overheard Professor Banner having, Jaden tells him "This is starting to sound like another chilli sauce nightmare" and has his hands at his side. In the next shot, Jaden's hands are suddenly grasping his backpack. (00:03:58)
Continuity mistake: After the guards have walked past Jaden and the woman, Jaden remarks "What's going on here" and the woman can be seen standing right next to him. The shot then cuts to focus on the woman and Jaden cannot be seen beside her, even though he was just right next to her. (00:08:30)
Continuity mistake: When Jaden draws Winged Kuriboh from his deck, he has two fingers pressed against the back of the card. Then there is a close-up shot of the card, where Jaden doesn't move his hand, but when the shot cuts again, he only has one finger pressed against the back of the card. (00:02:45)
Continuity mistake: At the end of the battle between Jaden Yuki and Gravekeeper's Chief, just as the explosion settles, in one shot you see the Gravekeeper's Spear card to the left of Gravekeeper's Chief on the duel disk. However in the next shot Gravekeeper's Spear is replaced with Magician of Black Chaos, which Chief neither has in his deck or ever played in the match. (00:13:35)
Continuity mistake: When everyone returns to the real world, Jaden stands up after waking up. There is then a close-up shot of his foot where Winged Kuriboh is shown on the ground that wasn't there in the previous shot. (00:19:40)
Doomsday Duel: Part 2 - S1-E30
Other mistake: Jaden activates the spell card Silent Doom and summons Elemental Hero Sparkman to the field in defence mode. He then activates the field spell Fusion Gate, but when he goes to insert the card into his duel disk, Sparkman is shown at a portrait angle on the duel disk, indicating that it is in attack mode instead of defence mode. Continuity mistake: After Nightshroud destroys Elemental Hero Tempest, Jaden collapses to the floor. At first, his right hand is free, but when the shot cuts, his right hand is suddenly making a fist. (00:14:40)

Continuity mistake: When Jaden is lying in bed and says "That's it. I'm duelling her. Tonight", he is holding onto the blanket with his hands, but his hands change position between shots. (00:02:58)

Continuity mistake: When Chazz is looking over his cards in his room, his hands are folded, and the cards are on the bed. Ojama Yellow then appears and Chazz doesn't move his hands, but when the shot cuts, he is suddenly holding some cards in his hand that is suddenly raised. (00:04:30)
Continuity mistake: After Jaden wakes up from his dream, he puts the back of his hand over his head. In this shot, his hand is positioned above his left eye, but in the next shot, his hand is positioned above his right eye. (00:01:05)
Continuity mistake: When Chazz is ranting in his room, in the shot where Ojama Yellow comes out of his deck, the deck of cards shown on his bed is positioned at a rotated angle. A couple seconds later, when he says "If you want to see pressure" to Ojama Yellow, the deck of cards is now no longer positioned at an angle. Then, later in the scene after Syrus tells Chazz his door is way over there, the deck of cards is further down the bed. (00:00:12 - 00:00:43)
Character mistake: When Slade is giving Chazz the conditions for the duel, he says "You're only allowed to duel with monsters with less than 500 life points." What he meant to say was attack points, as life points are the amount the duelist has during the duel, whereas attack points are the points that the duel monsters have. (00:04:18)
Continuity mistake: When everyone is walking in the hallway, Chazz takes out his Ojama Yellow card. He is holding it with two fingers, but when it cuts to a close-up of the card, Chazz's fingers cannot be seen holding it. (00:06:10)

Continuity mistake: When Syrus tells Chumley about his card crush, Chumley raises a card that he has a crush on to Syrus. He is shown holding the card with two fingers at a straight angle. When the shot cuts to a close-up of the card, Chumley's fingers are at a bent angle. (00:02:54)
Duel Distractions: Part 1 - S1-E36
Continuity mistake: A woman walks into the classroom holding an abandoned bag. When Banner asks "May I help you", the woman's hands are positioned outside of the straps, but when the shot cuts, her hands are inside of the straps. Also, during the shot, she has her right hand off the bag, but when it cuts to a close-up of the bag, her right hand is suddenly holding onto it. (00:04:35)
Duel Distractions: Part 2 - S1-E37
Continuity mistake: When Tania shows Jaden the Amazoness Arena card, the two fingers she has pressed against the front of it are positioned at an upright angle. It then cuts to a close-up shot of the card, where the two fingers are at a rotated angle. (00:08:12)
Other mistake: When Jaden summons Elemental Hero Clayman, the card is shaded orange. Cards with special abilities are shaded orange, but Clayman does not have any abilities, so he should be shaded yellow. (00:16:18)
Duel Monsters Spirit Day - S1-E42
Revealing mistake: At the start of the episode, when each of the dorms are shown celebrating at their respective festivals, all the background extras are shown standing completely still, despite the primary characters moving around.
Revealing mistake: When Pierre says "You're only extending your fate, my Cherie, and not even by that long", the shot cuts to Alexis, shown from the side of her face. In the background, Crowler and Sheppard can be seen sitting in the seating area, but their bodies don't appear to be aligned with the seats and are shown passing onto the seat next to them.
