Corrected entry: When Barney is chasing his diaper, he turns a corner and sees his mother. However, in another episode, he says that his mother lives in Norway, which would mean that he would probably know if his mother was coming.

Corrected entry: Somebody with glasses and a hat drowns in a river, but later when everybody is looking for the treasure, he is there as if nothing has happened to him at all.
Correction: The man who goes in the river is driving his car and it goes under the water but we never see him drown. As soon as he goes under the water the shot shows Bart. The guy could have simply got out of the river and ran to the treasure site after that. He was in a convertible car and there was enough time from the car sinking to seeing him at the treasure site to have covered that distance.

Tree House of Horror III: The Simpson's Halloween Special III - S4-E5
Corrected entry: In "Clown Without Pity", when Homer buys a Krusty doll for Bart, the guy at the shop doesn't give it to him inside a box. When Homer gives it to Bart, it is inside a box.
Correction: There may have been more than one item of this doll and the one he showed Homer was for display purposes. The fact that there was a phone number to call for problems with the doll makes it very possible this wasn't just a one off doll. Even if there hadn't been more than one, he may have packaged it up before Homer left the store.

Corrected entry: Both the Australian boy's father and Marge say that the call cost $900. However America and Australia have their own dollars and hence different currencies. Because of the exchange rates, surely one of the values would have been different.
Correction: At the time they are told about what they owe they are being notified the amount is $900 AUSTRALIAN dollars. Because of exchange rates changing every day, the currency difference will only be made an issue when the amount is actually bought. The Simpsons as well weren't likely going to be able to afford the expensive call so I don't think how much it would be in US dollars was going to be much of a concern.

The Simpsons (1989)
Corrected entry: Neither Barney nor Homer underwent any sort of physical or medical examination at all. Homer has a heart condition, he has had bypass surgery, and yet he is still allowed to take part in the mission. Also, both of them are surely too overweight to be allowed to participate.
Correction: The whole mission wasn't well thought out to begin. At the end of the day they were looking for a "Blue collared slob" to attract fans, and in that case Barney and Homer were perfect. The fact they were overweight and in average health was not NASA's main concern. Also they do undergo examinations but we probably don't see all of them. One scene we see them doing a lung capacity test.

Dude, Where's My Ranch? - S14-E18
Corrected entry: When Lisa tells Marge about Luke for the first time, Marge says 'I didn't marry the first boy I - Well I did. But you shouldn't." Wrong. Before she had a crush on Homer, she loved Artie Ziff from high school. She didn't marry him, however. Everybody blatantly knows that Marge married Homer, her second crush.
Correction: Homer was her first love. She never admitted to loving or having a crush on Artie Ziff. Marge went to the ball with Artie in spite of Homer and what he did to her but she never loved Artie and never admitted to loving him. Also in the statement she makes she never admits to anything. Its presumptious she was going to say the first boy she had a crush on. It could have been the first boy she had a real relationship with.

Corrected entry: In "Clown Without Pity", where the Krusty doll acts as Homer's servant, Homer says at one point "Yeah, dogs like to bury old junk", in which the Krusty doll says "Yeah, you stupid idiot.." The 'you stupid idiot' part is said with his mouth closed. (00:07:15)

The Simpsons (1989)
Corrected entry: When Bart makes a phone call to the Australian boy, it is daytime in both Springfield and Australia. However when the Australian boy's father phones Bart, it is again daytime in Australia but night-time in Springfield. But due to the Earth's rotation, surely it would have to be night-time in Australia or possibly very early in the morning. It seems to remain daytime there.
Correction: The phone calls are made at different times from each other so judging the time zone differences is tricky. However it is possible for the scenes to have daylight in both regions and daylight/night as in the show. If you use New York as reference point, a phone call at 4:30 pm, the call would be receieved at 6:30 am in Australia when it is plenty of time to have sunlight. When the Australian father calls it would be the afternoon and early morning in Springfield. If a call at 4:30 pm from Austrlia, it would be 2:30 am in New York.

The Old Man and the C Student - S10-E20
Corrected entry: In this episode, Hans Moleman is in a retirement home. But in "Duffless", he reveals that he is actually 37 years old, and therefore is too young to be in a retirement home.
Correction: Being that there is no age restriction in being in a retirement home there was nothing stopping Hans from moving into the home. The reason could be that Hans is weak, slow and has poor eye sight. With all these ailments he perhaps decided that he needed specialist care that a retirement home could provide.

Corrected entry: When Burns buys KBBL and tells Bill and Marty they're fired, they take off their headphones but can still hear what Burns is saying when he asks for the toilet noise to be played.
Correction: The phone call might have been on speaker phone as well as being heard in their headphones. Even if it wasn't on speaker phone we can hear Mr Burns' voice as well so when they take their headphones off it's likely they could hear his voice as we could.
I've worked in radio, and if their mics aren't on, the phones generally come through the studio speakers unless you pick up the handset so yes they would have heard him.

The Great Louse Detective - S14-E6
Corrected entry: When Sideshow Bob says that he hasn't made any progress on catching the person who is trying to kill Homer, he says, "Go ahead, shock me." and hands Marge the shocking remote. Sideshow Bob has been trying to get the remote ever since he was introduced into the episode. Why, if he has it, does he give it to Marge instead of taking it and trying to kill Bart, which he does at the end of the episode?
Correction: Bob probably thought that he hasn't really done anything wrong so they will take pity and leave shocking him, but they decide to anyway. It just furthers the joke that he can't stop the Simpsons, no matter how well behaved he was, from shocking him. In regard to killing Bart, it was being at Moe's with Lenny & Carl's suggestion about how to kill Bart that sparked him into trying to kill Bart. In the episode we saw Bob was preoccupied with helping Homer and being given the simple idea later on sparked him into action.

Corrected entry: When the Simpsons enter Lenny's apartment, they discover that he is exceptionally rich. Lenny is supposed to be poor, as in "Realty Bites" when he was shown to be living in a rundown shack.
Correction: Lenny never says he was rich. Thats just an assumption because he has a nice apartment. The terrible noise and vibration from the game that was being played against one of his walls shows the likely reason why if he wasn't rich he was able to afford the apartment. Added to this Lenny's financial situation has never really been established to make a conclusion to how he got the apartment. So for all we know Lenny started to save his money from that point, inherited money, got a loan etc.

Corrected entry: We know that Apu's store is spelled "Kwik-E-Mart," but in this episode, when Bart had the 3-D layout of The Town, it says "Quick-E-Mart."
Correction: Bart might have believed it was spelt Quick instead of Kwik. It sounds the same and most kids when they learn to spell are taught to spell as it sounds, so that might have lead to Bart not thinking it was a mistake. It was only a small display for plan of attack.
As a regular customer at the Kwik-E-Mart, I'm pretty sure that he would know how it was spelt.

Correction: When Barney turns the corner he says "Hi Mum". Its presumptious to say he wouldn't know his mother was coming in from Norway or didn't know she was coming. We don't know Barney's schedule or what was going on in his life at this time. All we really know was he was down on his luck in the episode.
