Continuity mistake: When the bombing scene is shown the first time Maurice breaks through the railing of the landing between the first floor, where he and Sarah were, and the ground floor. When Sarah tells her story and the bombing scene is replayed, we see her running down one full flight with an intact railing. She keeps running down and then comes to the spot where Maurice is lying on the steps. That means the second time there is one flight too many. (00:55:45)

The End of the Affair (1999)
Continuity mistake: When the bomb explodes next to Maurice's place he gets blown off the landing of the staircase. The way he 'takes off' he would have fallen on the ground, and there's no way that he would have landed as Sarah finds him, on the stairs and with his head pointing upwards. (00:46:10)

Titanic (1997)
Continuity mistake: When Rose slips during her suicide attempt and Jack grabs her right hand there's a shot from behind where her left hand is holding on to the second railing bar from the bottom. When the camera angle changes she is holding on to the bottom bar, and in the next shot again to the second. It's unimaginable that she would change her grip that frequently in this situation. When the camera angle changes and we see them from behind the deck is in the dark, and the sun is falling in almost horizontal. When they sit down to look at Jack's drawings the sun is higher again.
