Trivia: As Peter conducts a tour of reporters around the school, they come upon a scene in the hallway. He introduces the Hall Monitor X-L-K. It requests a hall pass from a girl, fails to recognize the pass, makes a second request, fails to see the pass, and opens fire, chasing the girl back to class. This scene was borrowed from Robocop (1987) when ED-209 was introduced, and had the same type of malfunction.

The conversation was an exact copy of the one between Lurry, Kirk and Spock in the original episode "The Trouble With Tribbles" (TOS, S2: E15).
