Factual error: While the barracks were reasonable replicas of the real POW barracks, there was one main difference. The original buildings were elevated to ensure any escape attempts could be stopped. In this series, the barracks are flush on the ground, which makes the tunnel access possible and easy.
Suggested correction: There are a plethora of actual photos freely available online of WWII German POW barracks, built either flush to the ground or on concrete slabs. This is just wrong.

Visible crew/equipment: As Burkhalter is talking to Strauss and Klink in front of the office door, you can see the shadow of the boom mic moving over each as they talk.

Continuity mistake: In the tunnel, Hogan lays out the plan. The arms of the man next to him goes from crossed to by his side between angles.

Continuity mistake: As Schultz is addressing the formation after taking command, his swagger stick switches from his right hand to under his left arm after the camera angle changes. Also, a minute later, Carter goes from being beside Newkirk to being in front of him and back again in a few seconds.

Other mistake: Baker goes to tap the rectangular spot to open the trapdoor, not only does he hit it once rather then twice, but it sticks in the pressed position. A moment later, Hogan hits it, but it stays in the pressed position rather than popping out. The sound of the pressing is played, but the button doesn't move.

Continuity mistake: Hogan and Klink are asking Schindler/Brewster about a diversion at the airfield. Brewster has both hands on the coffee cup until the angle change, when his left hand is suddenly out of his pocket.

Continuity mistake: After Newkirk photographs the blueprints, he loosely rolls them up and goes to hand them to Carter. A second later, they are tightly rolled with a rubber band around them.

Continuity mistake: When Hogan drinks Klink's wine, he picks up the glass with his right hand and his left arm is behind him. A second later, Hogan's left hand is in front of his chest.

Character mistake: After Le Beau is questioned, Schultz is told to take him back to his cell. Schultz calls "About face! Forward march!" The "about face" is wrong. The door that Le Beau goes out is on his right, therefore the command should have been "right face."

Continuity mistake: Hogan's arms change position when holding the dog. First, his left is under the dog, and after the angle change, his right is under the dog.

Audio problem: You hear Carter ask, "Hey, what are you doing with my mattress?" as the Gestapo searches the barracks, but his mouth doesn't move.

Trivia: In this episode, Major Wolfgang Hochstetter makes his appearance. He is portrayed by Howard Caine, who played two other characters before this, one as a anti-aircraft battery commander, and another as a special investigator for the SS.

Continuity mistake: As Schultz is going to get checked out, Hogan and the boys stop him, and Hogan feels Schultz's neck. Schultz's arms are by his sides, then after the angle change, they're by his hips. Also, there's two men walking behind the group that weren't there a second before.

Continuity mistake: Klink was sitting in his chair as Hogan is guessing his age. Klink's hands are clasped in front of him, and a second later, his right hand is on his hip.

Audio problem: After Schultz discovers the boys in the cannon plant, Hogan lifts a cannon up and taps the metal inside. If you watch closely, he only taps three times, but there are four tap sounds.
