Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Revealing mistake: In the scene in the Russian bar, Dutch takes the bartender's gun. When he turns to hit her, the face of the stuntman replacing Alan Tudyk is visible. (01:03:40)

Revealing mistake: When Bumblebee skids out of control after dodging the truck with the barrels in it, you can see skidmarks of a previous attempt. Same place, same direction. (01:08:15)

Revealing mistake: When Optimus has his 'rage' on Wacker Drive, you can see that cars that are being flipped not entirely by volition, since some of them (most notably the red BMW before he cuts a Decepticon clean in half) aren't even touched by Optimus or any Decepticons. (02:15:15)

Suggested correction: Actually if you look real closely, then you will see a shot, which resembles that of Bumblebee's.

Revealing mistake: When Bumblebee says goodbye to Sam, Bumblebee is leaning with his right arm to the construction. When the camera rotates, you can see that his hand is moving through the structure, making it a flaw in the CGI.

Revealing mistake: When Megatron is about to destroy Lincolns stone throne, his shadow appears only in the shots where he is visible, but in the shot where only the throne is visible and Megatron is about to destroy it, his shadow is gone.

Revealing mistake: When Dino (Mirage) throws Hatchet over to the other side of the freeway, Hatchet doesn't even make the security van right next to the car he crashes move, while he should have. His arm is basically going right through the van.

Revealing mistake: In the highway chase scene, when Crowbar knocks down some signs for the other two Dreads to use them as ramps, the simple structure supporting the signs changes to a far more elaborated one when the Decepticons launch from it. The signs are even replaced with actual platforms, much longer, wider, and with different angle and separation than in the previous shot.

Revealing mistake: Right after Sentinel finishes his speech at the tower, there is a shot where a lot of ships are shooting at buildings, but when they smoke from the explosions is gone, none of them is damaged. This mistake can also be seen when the dropped US soldiers are being chased and shot at by Decepticon ships.

Revealing mistake: When Megatron blasts the Lincoln statue and sits in his throne there is a CG mistake. His left foot is embedded in the stonework with one of the wheels (only 3/4 is visible).

Revealing mistake: When Optimus returns from the dead, he says: "We will kill them all.". The same footage is used when he makes his speech with: "your leaders will now understand", only it's cut slightly shorter.

Revealing mistake: Toward the end, when Sam is going to destroy the tower he gets kicked in the stomach by Dylan. When Sam falls he lands on another part of the destroyed building, you see the chunk of building that he lands on conforms to his body, showing that it is made of foam to soften his landing.

Revealing mistake: During the highway scene with the black GMC Decepticons chasing the Autobots, a number of civilian cars are flipped. If you look at the underside of a few of the cars, you can see the hole they use to launch a post to help flip the vehicle for the stunt. A brief puff of white smoke can also be seen on a Toyota Camry which is from the CO2 used to launch the post during the flip.

Revealing mistake: In the Chicago battle scene when the two small autobots bring down the large decepticon ship, just after the ship runs into the building (Key Tower, Tribune Tower, or Pittsfield Building), the CGI detail is unrendered and the top of the building is only drawn in plain polygon.

Revealing mistake: When Optimus uses the Shockwave cannon to bring down the cupola with the control pillar in it, the cupola starts falling before the bullet hits the building.

Friso94

Revealing mistake: During the highway chase scenes there are two "out of sync" animation sequences of the Decepticons in action. 1) In the front view with all the cars facing the camera, the Decepticon robot on the right shoves the car sideways (to the right), however, the car flies into the air a second later and in the opposite direction. 2) The scene cuts to the side view of the Decepticon and you see him motioning to pick up a car and begin to toss it in the air. However, when he does this, his hand is empty and the car just flies just below him.

Revealing mistake: A Decepticon ship crashes into and destroys a fair amount of the Tribune Tower's steeple. Later, a wide shot of the city shows the Tribune Tower with white blocks composited on top of it. The animators forgot to put the damage into this shot.

Watchful

Factual error: When the Autobots return to the moon in the present day to retrieve Sentinel Prime, they pass by the Apollo 11 lunar module (LEM). The LEM consists of an upper part (ascent stage) that houses the astronauts, and a lower part (decent stage) that holds the braking rocket used to land on the moon. When leaving the moon, the ascent stage blasts off, leaving just the decent stage on the moon. In the film, the entire LEM is shown sitting on the moon, which is impossible since the astronauts came back to earth.

Optimus Prime: In any war, there are calms between storms. There will be days when we lose faith. Days when our allies turn against us. But the day will never come, that we forsake this planet, and its people.

Question: During the second movie we see many Autobots, Tex Two Idiot Robotwins and some Motorcyclebots. But now it are only nine Autobots again in the movie. Where did the other Autobots went? Did they got killed or went in hiding?

Answer: Mudflap and Skids (the two idiot robots I believe you are talking about) were removed from the film due to negative fan reaction. While we don't hear what happened to them in the context of the plot, no reason not to assume they were killed in fighting between the movies. Arcee and Chromia (2 of the motocycles) were killed in the last film.

Answer: No, Sentinel killed both of them in the comics.
