High School Musical

Audio problem: In "What I've Been Looking For", when Sharpay sings the last verse the first time around, listen closely as Ryan takes away the microphone. Her voice remains the same volume, and does not get any quieter as Ryan pulls away the microphone.

Audio problem: When Gabriella is singing "When There Was Me and You", when she sings the line "Like I could Sing Along", notice her mouth doesn't move.

Suggested correction: At most, she doesn't really lip sync the word "sing" that well, but she does lip sync the line.

Audio problem: When Troy and Gabriella are singing "Breaking Free" for the last time, Gabriella moves her mic away from her mouth numerous times, yet her voice never gets quieter.

Audio problem: In "We're All in this Together", you can hear either Troy or Gabriella's voice singing background, not matching the others' lyrics, but their lips are moving to the same words as all the others.

Audio problem: After "Get'cha Head in the Game", Troy shoots one final basketball. When it bounces on the ground, the sound is slightly delayed.

Audio problem: During "Breaking Free" (near the end), the audio has both Gabriella and Troy singing the line "You know the world can see us," but Gabriella's mouth does not move until the word "can." (01:29:25)

Continuity mistake: After Ryan and Sharpay's initial audition, when Ryan tells the girl not to be discouraged because the theater needs fans, the blue janitor's cart is visible in the doorway. When Troy and Gabriella help Kelsi pick up the sheet music, the janitor's cart has vanished from that doorway, but when Ms. Darbus comes back to tell Troy and Gabriella about the call-backs, the janitor's cart has reappeared. (There are two doorways that have green exit signs overhead, at the back wall opposite the stage. Troy leaves the cart at the right doorway.) (00:33:40 - 00:35:40)

Trivia: In the cafeteria, all the milk cartons had a lemon and lime drink in them. The reason for this is that if they were filled with real milk, it would have turned sour during filming.

Question: Chad tries to discourage Troy from singing with the line, "If you sing in musicals, you're going to end up in my mom's refrigerator." Any clue as to what this means?

Answer: When Chad brings up Michael Crawford (the iconic Phantom in musical performances of Phantom of the Opera) he points out that Crawford's picture has never been on cereal (Wheaties) boxes like popular athletes. Chad says that his mom saw Phantom of the Opera on Broadway 27 times, and she put Crawford's picture "in" her refrigerator. So then Chad tells Troy that if he plays basketball his picture will end up on a cereal box, but if he sings in musicals his picture will only end up in his mom's (or anyone's) refrigerator. Apparently since Chad's mom was nuts about Michael Crawford, one of her "crazy diet ideas" was to put Crawford's picture in the fridge to help her stick to her diet.
