Audio problem: When Mattson throws Chucky into the back of the trunk, he tries to close the trunk. However, the trunk won't close because it hits Chucky. You can barely hear any sound when the trunk bumps into Chucky. When it cuts to Mattson trying again, you can hear a bumping sound. (00:14:35)
Audio problem: When Kyle takes the knife from the closet and pulls it out of the leather, it makes a sound like metal scraping on metal. (00:50:45)
Continuity mistake: When Andy is tied up on his bed, the two skipping ropes tied to his feet have green rope, but in one closeup of Andy kicking his foot about, the rope is yellow, then in the next wide shot, is green once again. (In the closeup of Andy kicking his feet he has also gained slippers!) (00:28:35 - 00:29:40)
Chucky: Did you miss me, Andy? I sure missed you. I told you, we were gonna be friends 'til the end. And now, it's time to play. I got a new game, sport. It's called "Hide the soul." And guess what? You're it.
Trivia: The other good-guy doll "Tommy" was allegedly named after Tom Holland, director of the first film. Holland and series creator Don Mancini supposedly didn't get on very well behind-the-scenes, and it's been suggested that Chucky breaking and then burying the Tommy doll was a subtle jab at him.
