Continuity mistake: When Chucky is threatening Mattson in the car with the fake gun, between shots as he shouts threats at Mattson, Chucky's grip on the gun and the angle at which he has it pressed against Mattson's cheek keeps changing. (00:18:30)
Continuity mistake: When Andy is tied up on his bed, the two skipping ropes tied to his feet have green rope, but in one closeup of Andy kicking his foot about, the rope is yellow, then in the next wide shot, is green once again. (In the closeup of Andy kicking his feet he has also gained slippers!) (00:28:35 - 00:29:40)
Continuity mistake: In one scene, Chucky and a girl are driving down a road when they get pulled over by a cop. The cop is surprised to see a "Good Guys" doll, and is shocked to see that its nose is bleeding. They do a close up of Chucky's nose, and blood is running from it. When they cut to the cops point of view, where Chucky and the girl are both in frame, the blood is gone. It doesn't reappear for the rest of that scene, even though no one wiped it away. (00:54:55)
Continuity mistake: The books and other items on the desk of the boy sitting behind Andy move about between shots, and the boys sleeves change from rolled up his arms to pulled down to the wrists too. (00:33:00)
Continuity mistake: The small cupboard where Andy finds Chucky hiding in, in Miss Kettlewell's classroom is full of toys. When Miss Kettlewell grabs Chucky from the cupboard you can see there is a toy crocodile in it, but in the next wide shot of Andy at his desk, you can see the open cupboard, and the crocdile has vanished, along with other toys changing position. Continuity mistake: Andy has to stay behind at school, and sits at a desk. The desk he sits on has some text books scattered on it. In one shot the books are slightly hanging off the table, but in the next shot the books are neatly placed on the centre of the desk. (00:34:05)
Continuity mistake: After Miss Kettlewell locks Chucky up in the classroom closet, look at the toys and books on the children's desks as she leaves. When Andy walks up to the closet after she leaves, the stuff on the students' desks has changed. (00:34:15)
Continuity mistake: Between shots from when the worker is tapping the buttons, to the closeup when the eyes are put into Chucky's sockets, the jars, boxes, pencils and other items on the desk around the Chucky doll move and change their position. (00:05:10)
Continuity mistake: When Kyle and Chucky are fighting in the bedroom, the position of the broken lampshade, diary and lace doily on the desk differs between shots. (00:52:30)
Continuity mistake: In the room where Kyle discovers Joanne dead, beside where Joanne is sitting is a desk, with drawers open and cloth and straps hanging down. In shots, items move, the drawers are open more / less and a strap disappears. The lamp on the desk turns itself on as well. (00:52:00 - 00:53:30)
Continuity mistake: When Andy gets a photo of his mum and him out of his pocket, the way he holds it differs between shots. (00:09:35)
Continuity mistake: In the very first shot of Miss Kettlewell reading, in the background beside the closet is a ruler leaning against the doorframe. When Miss Kettlewell walks to Andy the ruler is now leaning upright against the wall, no longer leaning on the doorframe. (00:32:40)
Continuity mistake: At night when Mattson is leaving the factory, it's raining and he tries to put Chucky inside the trunk, he can't so he grabs Chucky by the face (near its eyes) in the next shot Mattson is holding Chucky by its clothes. (00:15:20)
Continuity mistake: When Joanne is showing Andy his new room, he opens the closet and Chucky falls down, the doll has its head facing the room. In the next shot, Chucky is in a different position with his head facing the closet. (00:14:25)
Continuity mistake: After Kyle takes the sock out of Andy's mouth, she places it on the bed. In the next shot it has gone. (00:29:40)
Revealing mistake: After Phil has thrown Chucky down to the basement he turns the lights off. We then see lights fading in to make it seem like light is coming from outside the window. (00:30:20)
Continuity mistake: Look at Andy's feet when he was freed when Kyle comes in through the window, he has no shoes on, but when he chases after Mr. Phil Simpson he gains a pair of shoes. (00:30:00)
Continuity mistake: When Chucky pretends to be Tommy, a small drawn on mole, under the left side of the dolls' mouth is alternately there / missing. The position of the dolls' hair keeps altering as well. (00:25:00)
Continuity mistake: When Miss Kettlewell is reprimanding Andy in class for disturbing her lesson, the shot alternates from behind her to in front. During each shot change, the position of the book she clutches in her arms keeps changing. (00:33:10)
Continuity mistake: When Joanne, Phil and Andy are in the car after they have fostered him, the shots alternate from the backseat to the front, during the scene. During the shot changes Joanne's purple jumper sleeve keeps differing in how far it is rolled up. (00:09:15)
