Continuity mistake: When Grumpy Bear is making final adjustments on the rainbow rescue beam, Good Luck Bear indicates an alarming drop on the caring meter outside. Suddenly a cloud quake occurs and the meter's gauge vanishes. As the quake settles, both of them look outside to see the gauge intact once again. (00:58:35)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Grumpy and Good Luck Bear are performing last-minute repairs on the rainbow rescue beam, Grumpy's heart-shaped creeper disappears from beneath him. (00:58:35)
Continuity mistake: While Grumpy and Good Luck Bear are in Care-a-Lot putting finishing touches on the broken rainbow rescue beam, a cloud quake ruptures the floor beneath their feet and scatters debris all around. After the quake recedes, Grumpy shoots Good Luck Bear an astonished look and, at this point, bits and pieces of the ceiling are visible on either side of the floor's seam. But in the next shot when they both turn their heads to the caring meter outside, no pieces appear anywhere. (00:58:45)
Continuity mistake: When Good Luck Bear and Grumpy are finalizing the rainbow rescue beam's repairs, a cloud quake splits the Hall of Hearts' floor in two. All of the floor tiles switch direction in this shot, but they quickly return to normal as the bears reach over to save their tools. (00:58:45)
Continuity mistake: The moment Nicholas is ready to cast his final spell, several Care Bears roll into the castle on a line of carts, all of which display an emblem up front. Once the bears are thrown into the carts and start rolling away, the emblems have vanished (most particularly the first cart where Tenderheart sits). (00:59:40 - 01:00:45)
Continuity mistake: Whenever Nicholas is shown casting his evil spells, a podium is present several feet away from the cauldron. Fast forward to the climactic finale. After the final ingredient drops into the cauldron, Tenderheart Bear runs over to reason with Nicholas; but notice how the podium has briefly vanished at this point. (00:59:50)
Continuity mistake: When Nicholas accidentally drops his shoe into the cauldron, an explosion causes him to jump back. At this moment, look quickly at the podium nearby. Notice how the evil spirit's face is temporarily missing from the book. (00:59:50)
Continuity mistake: Inside the castle where the Care Bears are lined up together getting ready to initiate their stare on Nicholas, Cheer Bear's rainbow tummy symbol is colored red, green and blue. But at the moment they all begin to stare, the sequence changes to red, yellow and green. (01:00:20)
Continuity mistake: After Nicholas casts his final spell, the Care Bears organize themselves to execute a stare; but suddenly the evil spirit knocks them into the line of carts. Keep an eye on the front seats where Friend Bear and Tenderheart land. As the carts begin rolling away, notice how Bedtime Bear's legs stick out from beneath Friend Bear, and Funshine Bear's head is obscured by Tenderheart. However, in the next shot Bedtime Bear's legs are nowhere in sight and Funshine Bear's head rests awkwardly upon her own lap. (01:00:20)
Continuity mistake: After Nicholas casts his final spell over the cauldron, the Care Bears are shown outside of the castle walls gathered around the rail carts. Share Bear and Tenderheart are sitting up front, but in the next shot they're both walking off of a different cart. (01:01:00)
Continuity mistake: Towards the end, when Nicholas is standing near the castle entrance, he demands the Care Bear family to surrender Kim and Jason. In his right hand is the magic spell book - which has the evil spirit's glowing green head between the pages and a portrait of its face on the front. After Good Luck Bear and Grumpy transport themselves to Earth via rainbow rescue beam, the next two shots of the book reveal a blank cover without the evil spirit's glowing head. (01:01:20)
Continuity mistake: As the Care Bears and Cousins are lined up outside of the castle to confront Nicholas, Good Luck Bear and Grumpy Bear transport themselves from Care-a-Lot with the newly repaired rainbow rescue beam. In this shot, notice how Good Luck and Grumpy are sporting raincoats which lack any pockets. But a few minutes later when everyone is celebrating the evil spirit's defeat, a pair of pockets has suddenly appeared on each raincoat. (01:01:45 - 01:04:55)
Continuity mistake: During Nicholas' final confrontation with the Care Bears, he repeatedly asks for Kim and Jason's whereabouts - but they won't give it away. Suddenly they all execute a stare and, in one of the following shots where the evil spirit whispers "Too late," Nicholas is briefly missing his magician's cape. (01:02:20)
Continuity mistake: During the Care Bears' final showdown with Nicholas, the fence surrounding the castle's perimeter vanishes and reappears between shots; the most noticeable instance is when Braveheart Lion prompts his fellow Cousins to call. (01:02:40)
Continuity mistake: In order to snap Nicholas out of his evil trance, Tenderheart and the other Care Bears attempt one more stare on him and the evil spirit's book. While Nicholas and the spirit are laughing together, the bears' colorful array of light beams is visible beneath the book. After the Cousins are finished calling, Nicholas shows signs of weakness. But when the evil spirit's pages are flipping out of control in the next shot, the Care Bears are still staring of course, but their light beams are not visible at all. (01:03:05)
Continuity mistake: When Nicholas and Tenderheart are struggling to close the evil spirit's book, Secret Bear rushes over to create a key out of thin air. Meanwhile over a dozen onlooking Care Bears and Cousins are waiting anxiously from the rails. After Jason finally manages to lock the book, there's a shot of the entire group jumping around and cheering; but notice how almost everybody is standing in a different location this time. In addition, Champ and Bedtime Bear have disappeared completely. (01:04:35)
Continuity mistake: When Nicholas and Tenderheart are on the castle's cart track struggling to keep the evil spirit's book closed, Jason walks over with Secret Bear's key which will lock it away for good. As he fastens the lock, notice how Jason is kneeling down between the two steel rails of the track. For a moment the scene cuts over to several onlooking Care Bears and Cousins; but the next shot reveals Jason kneeling on the other side of the rails. (01:04:35)
Continuity mistake: At the end, when the Care Bears and Cousins are sitting around the table, a Care Bear whispers into the raccoon's ear and the Care Bear does not have a symbol on his tummy. (01:04:45)
Continuity mistake: After Jason locks the evil spirit's book with Secret Bear's key, Nicholas leads everybody away from the castle and tosses his cape to the tracks. However the book has mysteriously vanished at this point. (01:04:45)
Continuity mistake: After Jason takes Secret Bear's key and seals off the evil spirit's book for good, all of the Care Bears and Cousins who were watching anxiously start cheering and jumping around. At this point, notice how the whole background consists of carnival stands, tents and a ferris wheel. But once Lotsa Heart Elephant sounds her trumpet a few moments later, there's nothing in the background except for trees. (01:04:50)
