Continuity mistake: When Fetuccini starts going on about the trunk, we see his right hand extend towards its broken contents scattered around. Between frames, he rests his hand against his side. (00:07:45)
Continuity mistake: Inside the trailer where Nicholas gets chastised for spilling the magic trunk's contents, notice how Fetuccini is wearing two white gloves. Meanwhile, Tenderheart Bear is right outside to overhear what's going on. But the moment he tiptoes into the trailer, Fetuccini shouts "Enough of your sorries!" and briefly has no glove on his left hand. (00:07:55)
Continuity mistake: As Fetuccini scolds Nicholas for dropping the magic trunk, Tenderheart Bear manages to sneak into the trailer - stopping near the corner of a desk and lifting his right arm to his face. But now, in the next shot, the right arm rests at his side. (00:08:00)
Continuity mistake: When Tenderheart Bear is in the trailer watching Nicholas and Fetuccini from the doorway, notice the wall below Fetuccini's left hand as he speaks: it's plain, flat pieces of wood. But when Tenderheart is suddenly forced to hide beneath the desk, he spots a large hole in the wall through which he can see Nicholas. It shouldn't be there at all since the adjacent wall on the opposite side had no visible holes in the previous shot. (00:08:05)
Continuity mistake: Right before Fetuccini leaves Nicholas alone to clean up the contents of his magic trunk, plenty of sunlight is shining through the doorway where Tenderheart stands watching. But in the next scene where Nicholas is lighting a lamp and placing objects on the table, the doorway appears completely dark - as though it were a closet. Had Fetuccini closed the trailer's outside door, this might be justified. (00:08:05)
Continuity mistake: After Nicholas drops the magic trunk, Fetuccini orders him to gather the unbroken contents scattered across the floor. First he grabs a checkerboard and sets it on the table with hinges facing right. Then he picks up what appears to be a book wrapped in blue & yellow cloth and sets it on the table as well. In the following shot, a red seal on the book melts away. But take another look at the checkerboard: somehow it's been turned partially around, and now the hinges are facing outward instead of to the right. Later on - in the scene where Nicholas manages to open the book - the checkerboard rotates once again. This time, hinges appear in the back. (00:08:05 - 00:16:55)
Continuity mistake: When Fetuccini is scolding Nicholas inside the trailer, Tenderheart becomes trapped beneath the desk where he's able to peer at Nicholas through a hole in the wall. After "Nobody Cares Like a Bear," notice that Fetuccini is plucking his mustache. However, Tenderheart has vanished from beneath the desk...only to reappear in the next shot. (00:08:10 - 00:14:55)
Continuity mistake: When Nicholas is about to gather the broken contents of the magic trunk, an evil spirit speaks to him from a book. Suddenly, he staggers back and passes out in the trunk. Later on when he comes to, notice how all of the trunk's contents have disappeared from the floor. (00:08:30 - 00:15:00)
Continuity mistake: When Nicholas is busy picking up pieces from Fetuccini's magic trunk inside the trailer, the evil spirit's book - wrapped in a blue & yellow cloth and fastened with a red seal - suddenly slips from the trunk and onto the floor. When he reaches out to lift up the book and place it upon a desk, note now the trailer's floorboards are running lengthwise. As the red seal melts away, the floor is partially visible below the desk. But notice how the boards are now running in the opposite direction. (00:08:35)
Continuity mistake: After Fetuccini tells Nicholas to check for any useful items in the magic trunk, he gets to work right away but first needs to light a kerosene lamp on the floor. Once he replaces the lamp's chimney, notice how the knob is pointing to the trunk. A few minutes later in the same room, Nicholas is passed out. Here, the handle now faces in a different direction - towards the table on the opposite side (most noticeable immediately before Tenderheart shouts "Stop!"). (00:08:55 - 00:17:35)
Continuity mistake: When Nicholas first realizes that an evil spirit is talking through the book, he is astonished and begins to stagger back. Behind him is a shelf with books and a cage. Notice how three books on the left hand side of the cage are stacked with their spines facing right. But later on when Tenderheart releases himself from the cage, these books are stacked differently - with the center book's spine now facing out. (00:09:15 - 00:18:30)
Continuity mistake: After Tenderheart Bear gets trapped underneath Fetuccini's desk, the scene changes to Care-a-Lot. Here we can see a rainbow leading up to the Hall of Hearts' entrance. Initially, the rainbow has six colors arranged from red to violet. Just before the doors swing open to reveal Grumpy Bear at work on the rainbow rescue beam, red disappears from the color sequence. Continuity mistake: When the rainbow rescue beam platform is visible for the first time, it has a solid pink color. But throughout the movie, its color alternates from pink to red with pink sides. (00:09:35 - 00:13:30)
Continuity mistake: Share Bear's tummy symbol consists of two straws in a milkshake cup dotted with a couple of small red hearts, as seen near the beginning when Grumpy Bear is working on the rainbow rescue beam. But when the Care Bears and Cousins are gathered around the carousel, Share Bear slides down a pole and walks away. However, in this shot her tummy symbol is missing both hearts. Continuity mistake: Towards the beginning when Grumpy Bear is busy trying to find a problem with the rainbow rescue beam, he wheels his heart-shaped creeper beneath the control panel and starts complaining. During this shot, the creeper briefly vanishes beneath him. (00:09:55)
Continuity mistake: When Grumpy Bear is performing repairs on the rainbow rescue beam, he slides under the control panel using a heart-shaped creeper. While he works, the pointed end of the creeper faces outward. Soon Grams Bear walks over needing help finding Baby Hugs and Tugs. But when he rises to his feet and rolls the creeper out of the way, it's suddenly facing the opposite direction. (00:10:00)
Continuity mistake: After Grumpy Bear finds a star buddy in the rainbow rescue beam, he releases it into the air while holding a wrench in his left hand. In the next shot, the wrench has disappeared. (00:10:15)
Continuity mistake: When Grams Bear steps over to ask Grumpy about Hugs and Tugs' whereabouts, she stands on a rainbow ramp - colored yellow, orange and red. Once they walk away to search, Hugs and Tugs enter the scene sliding down the ramp, which has suddenly changed colors to green, yellow and orange. (00:10:25)
Continuity mistake: As Grams and Grumpy Bear walk away to search for Baby Hugs and Tugs, Grumpy pushes his heart-shaped creeper underneath the rainbow rescue beam. By the time Baby Tugs walks over and activates the beam, the creeper has disappeared. (00:10:35)
