Continuity mistake: When the driver delivers the treasure chest to Mr. Fettucine's magician cart, he throws a cigar down to the floor and leaves. In the next shot as Nicholas heaves the chest inside, the cigar has suddenly vanished from the floor.
Continuity mistake: When Tenderheart first picks up the key to the book, we see that it has no teeth, it's just a smooth piece of metal. Later in the movie, when Tenderheart gives the key to Jason for safe keeping, we see that it now has teeth.
Continuity mistake: When Mr. Fettuccine is sitting at his desk, stacking cards into a pyramid, in some shots, some of the cards facing outwards, show the front side of the card. However in the next shot, these cards are now showing the back (red) side of the card.
Continuity mistake: During "Home is in the Heart" after we meet the Care Bear Cousins we see everyone weaving yellow and red ribbons around a pole. Then the camera cuts to a more distant view of them sliding down some clouds away from the finished pole. The trouble is, the yellow and red color scheme we saw on the pole a minute ago is now a multi-colored rainbow scheme.
Continuity mistake: During the song "Home in in the Heart," Jason draws a house in the dirt, with a branch. In the first shot the drawing has no roof. In the next shot it suddenly does, and some of the drawn lines disappear as well.
Continuity mistake: When Nicholas is making the evil potion, he is about to put his shoe with gum on it, inside the cauldron. He hesitates, so the evil book forces the shoe to be thrown into the pot. However in the next shot Nicholas has two shoes back on his feet.
Continuity mistake: During the movie, the small red hearts on the Care Bears sides disappear and then reappear again between shots. This is most noticeable when Secret Bear and Friend Bear meet Kim and Jason in the park at the beginning.
Continuity mistake: In the song "It's Great to Be in the Care Bear Family," the Care Bear Cousins finally obtain their tummy symbols. However in a following shot Playful Heart Monkey is drawn without a symbol, even though he had only just obtained it.
Continuity mistake: In the shot where Kim and Jason slide down the rainbow with the Care Bears during the "Nobody Cares Like A Bear" song, Tenderheart is also on the rainbow. Tenderheart is actually on Earth trying to save Nicholas from the Evil Spirit at that very moment.
Continuity mistake: During the show while the children are laughing, a boy with a blue shirt and yellow hair is shown, however after the spell is cast he gets replaced with a boy with a gray sweater and dark brown hair.
Continuity mistake: When the kids are shown, the shirt color of the one with the blue suspenders keeps between orange and dark red.
