Continuity mistake: Near the beginning, Mr. Cherrywood performs a quick juggling act. Once he finishes, the number of red balls in either hand alternates between cuts. (00:01:00)
Continuity mistake: After Mr. Cherrywood performs a brief juggling act for the children, he wishes everyone a good night and gets ready to leave the room, placing his right hand on the door's edge. Continuity mistake: Near the beginning when Mr. Cherrywood agrees to tell the children a story, four boys and four girls sprint over to two separate beds - where they all stay and listen for the remainder of the movie. In the immediate vicinity of the boys' bed is a nightstand with a half-filled drinking glass and a ball on top. Hanging from the wall above the headboard is a framed picture as well. Once Mr. Cherrywood wraps up his story, he and Mrs. Cherrywood start carrying the children to their own beds. But just before Tenderheart Bear peeks through the window, notice how the framed picture has become a poster fastened with two pieces of tape and the drinking glass has transformed into a table lamp. Continuity mistake: During the introduction, Wish Bear is using a star-o-scope to observe Earth from Care-a-Lot. All of a sudden, she spots Kim & Jason and begins to make her way down a rainbow slide. In the next shot, a green mount is affixed to the scope which wasn't previously there. (00:02:50)
Continuity mistake: When Friend Bear is working beneath the hood of a cloud mobile, Secret Bear relaxes in the driver's seat. Just then, Wish Bear runs over to break some news. In the following shot she reaches out to tap Secret Bear's head, but now he's repositioned outside of the cloud mobile. (00:03:15)
Continuity mistake: When Friend Bear is peering through Wish Bear's star-o-scope during the opening credits, a rainbow and pink cloud hut are visible in the background. As soon as the shot changes, Friend Bear walks off screen. But now both the rainbow and hut have disappeared completely. (00:03:30)
Continuity mistake: During "Care-a-Lot" when Friend and Secret Bear are getting ready to pull away in their cloud mobile, Wish Bear is standing near the driver's side holding her star-o-scope. Behind the scope we can see her shooting star tummy symbol. For a moment the cloud mobile grinds to a halt. But once it's ready for takeoff again, Wish Bear is standing in the same position, only this time her tummy symbol is missing. (00:03:40)
Continuity mistake: During the opening song, Secret Bear and Friend Bear are getting ready to take off for Earth in a cloud mobile when they're halted by the star buddy traffic controller blowing a whistle. As soon as Champ Bear flies by in his rainbow roller, the star buddy signals for the other two bears to proceed; but suddenly the whistle is missing in the following shot. (00:03:45)
Continuity mistake: During the opening song, Secret Bear and Friend Bear are getting ready to take off for Earth in a cloud mobile when they're halted by the star buddy traffic controller with a whistle. The striped post beside the star buddy circles upwards. However, when the bears are signaled to proceed, the post is now circling downwards. (00:03:45)
Continuity mistake: When Secret Bear is chasing a butterfly on the clouds, he suddenly falls through and lands on Friend Bear's lap inside of the cloud car. Consequently, the car spirals out of control towards Earth. Just before they land in the city park, the two bears can now be seen sitting alongside one another. (00:04:40)
Continuity mistake: When Secret Bear and Friend Bear's cloud mobile circles out of control right above the park, Kim and Jason are shown walking hand in hand on a trail below. But in the next shot when they witness the bears crash into a tree, they're suddenly walking apart from one another. (00:05:10)
Continuity mistake: Near the beginning, Friend and Secret Bear are walking down a trail in the park trying to get Kim and Jason's attention. At first they aren't successful, so they stop for a moment. Here we can see grass and several trees & shrubs next to Secret Bear, but in the next shot a trash container is suddenly visible beside him, too. (00:05:40)
Continuity mistake: When Friend and Secret Bear meet Kim and Jason in the park, everybody is shown standing on a trail. But as Friend Bear begins to talk with the kids about hopes and dreams, she proceeds down the trail to catch up with them and, in the next shot, is seen walking on grass instead. (00:06:00)
Continuity mistake: After trying to reach out to Kim and Jason for the first time, Secret Bear and Friend Bear get turned down, so they look at each other in disbelief. But just before the scene cuts away, the bears instantly turn their heads toward Kim and Jason between shots. (00:06:30)
Revealing mistake: When Tenderheart is flying through the carnival in his rainbow roller, take a good look at the background going by. After "In a Care Bear Family" plays, the camera pans a scene of the carnival once again. If something looks familiar, this is because the same exact background is used twice throughout the movie. Note the 'Joe's Antiques' truck, which is only relevant to a scene in the beginning when Fetuccini's magic trunk is delivered. (00:06:35 - 01:09:30)
Other mistake: When Nicholas is getting ready to lug the magic trunk, notice how the 'Joe's Antiques' truck is parked alongside him. But as the truck starts up and pulls away, exhaust fumes blow towards Nicholas as though he were behind the truck. (00:07:00)
Continuity mistake: Throughout the movie on many occasions, a blue staircase with three steps is visible at the foot of Fetuccini's trailer door. But in one scene where Fetuccini announces that Nicholas will headline his latest magic act, notice how the staircase has two steps all of a sudden. (00:07:10 - 01:06:35)
Continuity mistake: In the shot of Fetuccini completing a house of cards, his vest is fastened with two gold buttons. But soon Nicholas causes the house to topple. Consequently, Fetuccini lets out a deep sigh; but now each of his buttons is gray. (00:07:15)
Continuity mistake: As Nicholas is carrying a magic trunk into the trailer, Fetuccini sits in his swivel chair constructing a house of cards. Notice how the chair's back support is held up by one solid piece. In a different shot, Nicholas is losing his balance - here's where Fetuccini's chair has three posts holding up the back support. Later, Fetuccini is plucking his mustache on the same chair but now it strangely has two posts. (00:07:15 - 00:14:55)
