Continuity mistake: When Nicholas opens the door to reveal that Fetuccini has been possessed by a sleeping spell, a top hat and cape are visible, hanging from their own hooks on a nearby coat rack. But soon the evil spirit convinces Nicholas to perform magic tricks on Fetuccini's behalf. Once he reaches over to grab the hat and cape, they are suddenly hanging by the same hook. Continuity mistake: As Fetuccini is standing near the door possessed by a sleeping spell, Tenderheart enters the room and speaks to Nicholas. In the background, Fetuccini's feet are spread a couple of feet apart. But after Nicholas turns around to ask "Who are you?", the feet have instantly moved within inches of each other. (00:17:35)
Continuity mistake: When Tenderheart gets thrown into the cage, there are several books nearby - one of which says "MAGIC" on the spine. The word briefly disappears during the next couple of shots, only to return moments before Tenderheart frees himself to go after Nicholas. (00:17:55)
Continuity mistake: After Tenderheart Bear jumps from the cage, he sees the evil spirit's gold key lying halfway between two floorboards near his right foot. But in the next shot this key is located in a different spot on the floor - beside four nail heads which weren't previously there. (00:18:35)
Continuity mistake: Once Tenderheart Bear releases himself from the cage, he grabs a key and starts towards the tent where Nicholas will soon cast an evil spell upon the audience. A couple of empty benches are visible inside, but in the following shot - from within the tent - children are now seated at every one. (00:18:45)
Continuity mistake: When Nicholas casts his very first evil spell inside the tent, a girl and boy are in the front row enjoying some popcorn in a cup. But as the lightning flashes, notice how the cup briefly shifts from the girl's right hand to the boy's left hand within the same shot. (00:19:45)
Continuity mistake: After Nicholas casts an evil spell on his audience beneath the tent, Tenderheart Bear jumps on stage and tries to control the situation. Meanwhile, there's a melee going on in the crowd. Some children are fighting right in front of the stage over Tenderheart's shoulder, most notably when Nicholas shouts "Sticks!" Suddenly, he and the evil spirit make an escape via green whirlwind. At this moment take a look right below stage level: apparently nobody is there at all. But in the final shot of the scene, after Tenderheart announces "This is a job for all the Care Bears," another view of the stage (virtually identical to the one just mentioned) now reveals lots of children fighting with one another. Continuity mistake: When Nicholas casts an evil spell on his audience in the tent, Tenderheart jumps on stage to reason with him. Notice how the stage's floorboards are installed lengthwise. Later, Nicholas pulls a dove from his hat on the same stage. But as he takes a bow, the floorboards are now arranged in the opposite direction. (00:20:15 - 01:09:50)
Continuity mistake: While Kim and Jason are playing leap frog with the Care Bears, Wish Bear appears on top of a rainbow shouting about some great news. Notice how she's carrying a star-o-scope and the objective lens is that of a red star. Moments later when Wish Bear is on the clouds beside the rainbow, her scope only has a small red heart for a lens. (00:20:40)
Continuity mistake: By the first twenty minutes it's established that Friend Bear's tummy symbol is two crisscrossed flowers, one of which has a green leaf on the stem. In the scene where Grumpy Bear spots Tenderheart's out of control rainbow roller, one shot shows Friend Bear and Secret Bear looking on helplessly. But notice how her leaf is missing, only to reappear when Wish Bear says "Oh, no!" a moment later. (00:21:15)
Continuity mistake: During the first cloud quake on Care-a-Lot, Grams Bear is seen escaping from the Hall of Hearts on a rainbow walkway. In the next shot she turns around and heads back indoors, but now the colors beneath her feet are running in the opposite direction (as though the walkway changed its position). (00:21:45)
Continuity mistake: When Kim and Jason are called over to the rainbow rescue beam, Tenderheart grabs Kim's hand to lead the way. Then she lets go and points her index finger, saying, "We're going to help you." Yet in the next shot Tenderheart and Kim are holding hands again. (00:23:40)
Continuity mistake: When Tenderheart grabs Kim's hand to lead the way towards the rainbow rescue beam, a small red heart is visible on both of his sides. These hearts, however, are only supposed to appear on a Care Bear's right side. (00:23:40)
Continuity mistake: While Friend Bear, Secret Bear, Kim and Jason are being transported down to Earth via rainbow rescue beam, a cloud quake strikes and devastates the Hall of Hearts. Everyone has hit the floor by the time it subsides. But watch as the shot changes to Tenderheart lifting himself up: notice how debris has suddenly appeared all over the place from nowhere. Continuity mistake: Following a cloud quake that interrupts the rainbow rescue beam's transmission, Tenderheart pulls himself up from the floor. Here we can see Wish Bear in the background. After Grumpy Bear says "They never made it to Earth!", Cheer Bear appears in Wish's place. (00:24:45)
Continuity mistake: After a second cloud quake wreaks havoc on Care-a-Lot, the scene changes to a close-up of the castle. Inside, Nicholas is shown running over to a podium with a closed book in his hands. He sets it down; but in the next shot where he turns around to speak into a boiling cauldron, the book is now opened up. Only once, but with immense effort, does this book get closed throughout the entire movie (excepting this shot, which appears to have slipped through the cracks). (00:25:05)
Continuity mistake: Upon first view of Nicholas' castle, notice how the doorway has a round arch. But towards the end - when Nicholas is seeking out Kim and Jason after casting his final spell - the doorway now has a completely different arch (somewhat like a Tudor Arch) at this point. Continuity mistake: When the cloud clipper is rising from beneath the river, a dozen Care Bears are lined up watching nearby. Notice Love-a-Lot Bear standing between Grumpy and Cheer Bear. In this shot, her tummy symbol consists of a pink heart on the left and a red heart on the right. But when she's walking aboard the clipper, the hearts have switched positions. (00:26:15)
Continuity mistake: After the cloud clipper first appears from beneath Care-a-Lot's river, Wish Bear, Love-a-Lot and Tenderheart jump on board (in that sequence) upon a rainbow bridge with four colors: red, orange, yellow and green. In the next shot, blue is added the rainbow's color sequence and two of the bears are shown entering in the wrong order (Tenderheart now appears behind Wish Bear and Love-a-Lot is trailing in the back). As soon as everyone is aboard, the rainbow colors reverse themselves before the bridge disappears. (00:26:20)
Continuity mistake: At the cloud clipper's stern is a rainbow rudder, which can be seen as it rises from the river on Care-a-Lot. However, during one scene just before the clipper exits the other side of a dark cave in the Forest of Feelings, the rudder is briefly colored solid yellow. (00:26:25 - 00:43:35)
