Factual error: In the introduction, when text flows across the screen, the words "ten thousand solar systems" appear. Strictly speaking, there is only one Solar system - ours. A star with planets is a "star system", our star is called "Sol", hence, the Solar System. This trivial error is made in many sci-fi films, BUT the Star Wars series has never fallen into this error before. Remember Episode IV, where Leia says something like, "The more you tighten your grip, the more star systems will slip through your fingers" (and that's only one example). So why has George Lucas allowed such a trivial but irksome error to be made here? [Some people have debated this point, saying that "Solar" from the Latin "Sol", can mean any star system, but it's backed up in the Isaac Asimov book "Nemesis". He knows a thing or two about sci-fi, and in the book a new star is discovered and called Nemesis, and its system is referred to as the "Nemetic system", as opposed to our own "Solar system".] (00:00:55)
Other mistake: When the star ships are about to pass through the clouds over Coruscant in the beginning of the film, the shadow of the large Naboo Cruiser can be seen far ahead of the ships, but the smaller star fighters have no shadow. And when the ships fly closer to the clouds, the shadow of the cruiser disappears as well. (00:02:20)
Continuity mistake: In the very first scene, when the decoy for Padme is killed by the explosion, Padme's hair is hanging in two sections, in front of her shoulders. In the next shot showing Padme, her hair is gathered to one side and hanging over one shoulder, yet we never see her change it. (00:04:00)
Continuity mistake: When Palpatine is speaking to the Jedi very near the beginning, the ships in the suspended invisible freeways on the background are always going on the same pattern. Notice that there is an elongated ship with a large rear tip, and then two smaller ships always seem to catch it at the same time. This goes on for about 3 minutes. (00:04:15)
Continuity mistake: In the beginning when Yoda walks to Padme and says "Seeing you alive brings..." look when he stands up from the chair and starts to walk. He walks and walks, but he never passes the chair. Next clip is showing him quite a bit behind the chair moving towards Padme. (00:05:20)
Continuity mistake: In the first close-up of Amidala in Palpatine's office, Jar Jar is standing right behind her. In the following shot from behind, Jar Jar has disappeared, and Bail Organa and Dormé are standing further away from her than in the previous shot. In the next shot, Dormé, who was standing on Amidala's left in the previous shots, has moved to her right. Then, in the shot from behind where Palpatine suggests that the Jedi protect Amidala, Mace Windu is standing next to her, and Bail is behind her. In the following shot facing Amidala, Mace can't be seen, but he was too close to her in the previous shot to be off camera. And Amidala is standing closer to Bail and the rest of the people with them. (00:05:25)
Continuity mistake: When Obi-Wan and Senator Amidala shake hands in Amidala's apartment, in the first shot, they are standing in front of a doorway, and there's a small table and a couple of chairs by to the corner behind them. In the next shot, Obi-Wan and Amidala have suddenly moved to the right side of the doorway, and there are no chairs or table by the corner. Anakin, Dormé and Captain Typho have changed position as well. (00:07:50)
Continuity mistake: When Zam Wesell meets Jango Fett on the skyscraper ledge, the open hatch/window of her speeder changes appearance between the first two shots. In the last shot, it disappears completely. Even though not the whole speeder can be seen in this shot, a part of the hatch/window should be seen, because of its size and position. (00:10:05)
Continuity mistake: When Anakin and Obi-Wan are talking while Padmé is sleeping, as Anakin says, "It was her idea," his body is turned in a different direction from the previous shot. In the following shot, he is standing in the same position as the first shot, and Obi-Wan has turned in a different direction as well. (00:10:55)
Continuity mistake: The twin-engine speeder which Anakin is using to pursue Zam is equipped with four antennas, two of them between the headrests. In the shot when Anakin is trying to catch the falling Obi-Wan, the two antennas in the middle are missing. (00:15:30)
Revealing mistake: There's a shot showing Anakin from below after Obi-Wan says ""I hate it when he does that." Some vehicles appear out of nowhere in the sky as he goes down. (00:19:19)
Continuity mistake: Right after Zam's speeder crashes near the bar and Anakin is chasing her through a crowd it shows a shot of him running really fast through the crowd. Then it cuts to her and back to him. When it cuts back to Anakin it is the exact same shot as the previous one. (You can tell because he passes a bright yellow light and then he puts his left hand on someone's shoulder as he passes them. All this repeats on the second shot.) (00:20:10)
Continuity mistake: When Obi-Wan is talking to Anakin before they enter the nightclub, in the shots facing Anakin, they're standing in the middle of the doorway. In the shots facing Obi-Wan, they're standing by a wall. (00:20:55)
Continuity mistake: When Obi-Wan hands Anakin his lightsaber outside the nightclub, he holds it in front of Anakin's face, but when Anakin grabs it, Obi-Wan is holding it much lower than in the previous shot. (00:21:05)
Continuity mistake: When Obi-Wan and Anakin enter the nightclub, in the first shot, Anakin is walking behind Obi-Wan, to Obi-Wan's left. In the next shot, Anakin is directly behind him. There body positions differ in consecutive shots as well. (00:21:10)
Continuity mistake: When Obi-Wan and Anakin enter the nightclub, in the first shot, there are people in front of and behind them. In the next shot, some of them have disappeared, some have changed position, and there are some people that were not there in the previous shot. Then during the last shots of their conversation, the surroundings and the amount of people around them changes a few times. (00:21:10)
Continuity mistake: When Obi-Wan and Anakin begin to walk up the few steps just inside the nightclub, as the shot ends, Obi-Wan is just about to put his foot on the second step. In the next shot, he has suddenly reached the top of the stairs. (00:21:15)
Continuity mistake: In the nightclub scene, in the shot before the huge screens showing sporting events are shown, you can see a woman walking past Obi-Wan to his left. But in the previous wide shot, she was nowhere to be seen in the area near him. (00:21:20)
Continuity mistake: After Anakin and Obi-Wan enter the Outlander Club (the nightclub), they stop, and two people behind them begin to walk past them. In the next shot from a different angle, these two people are nowhere to be seen. (00:21:20)
Continuity mistake: After Obi-Wan and Anakin enter the nightclub, they stop, and as the shot ends, Anakin head is turned to his right, and Obi-Wan is turned slightly towards Anakin. In the next shot, Anakin's head is turned to his left, and Obi-Wan and Anakin are both turned in the same direction. (00:21:20)
Answer: Agolerga, who officiated the wedding, would have known who both people were, especially Padme. Remember they were also keeping the marriage secret because of Padme's position as Senator. Assuming Agolerga was aware a Jedi can't marry, he may simply not care or agree with the rule. Also, as a holy man of Naboo, Anakin and Padme may have trusted him with their secret.
