Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones

Continuity mistake: In the beginning of the scene where Obi-Wan and Jango Fett are fighting, Boba Fett's position on the ramp of Jango's ship changes between the opening shot, the shot where he yells, "Dad. Look." and when he turns and runs into the ship. (00:58:25)

Audio problem: In the beginning of Obi-Wan's fight with Jango Fett, Obi-Wan's lightsaber is off as he dives out of the way to avoid being shot. When he turns it on again, the sound effect is missing. (00:58:35)

Continuity mistake: When Obi-Wan is head butted by Jango Fett during their fight, in the shot where he falls, Jango's costume is reversed. The easiest way to see this is to watch the antenna on his helmet, which is on the wrong side. (00:59:15)

Continuity mistake: In the shot where Obi-Wan slides past Jango Fett after they went over the platform edge, Jango is lying on a black stripe on the surface. In the next shot of Jango, he is lying further away from the stripe, and his body is turned the other way. The distance between Jango and the stripe keeps changing until he begins to climb back towards the platform. (00:59:50)

Continuity mistake: As Anakin and Amidala are landing on Tattooine, the sun on the set and the sun reflection off their ship are in different directions. The double sun would not account for this, as they are not far enough apart. (01:03:45)

Continuity mistake: In the asteroid field, Jango Fett flies through a hole in an asteroid. Obi-Wan follows him and flies deep into the asteroid, but in the next shot, the opening in the asteroid is seen behind him, as if he just entered it. (01:05:05)

Continuity mistake: When Obi-Wan and Jango Fett fly through a tunnel in an asteroid, Jango flies out of the asteroid twice. This happens to Obi-Wan as well. (01:05:15)

Other mistake: When Jango Fett is chasing Obi-Wan in the asteroid field, Jango fires his guns and when he turns his ship, the "beams" that had been already fired turn with it. (01:05:40)

Continuity mistake: In the wideshot of Obi-Wan climbing out of his starfighter on Geonosis, R4's dome faces the front of the ship, and then rotates left. In the next shot, the droid is again facing the front of the ship and its dome turns left a second time. (01:08:05)

Continuity mistake: When Anakin and Padmé walk towards the moisture farm, in the first shot, their shadows are on their right. In the next shot, their shadows are cast behind them. In the following shot, the shadows are on their right again. The shadows on the ground differ as well, their size and intensity changes between shots several times. (01:08:25)

Continuity mistake: When Anakin and Padmé embrace outside the moisture farm, there's a dark, round spot in the sand next to them, that wasn't there in the previous shot of Anakin. Anakin can't have been standing on it in the previous shot, because he is standing about one metre away from the position of the spot in both shots (watch his shadow, it is in the same position in both shots). (01:11:00)

Other mistake: When Anakin is searching for his mother, in the shot where we see the binary sunset, neither Anakin nor the speeder he's riding has a shadow. (01:11:55)

Continuity mistake: After Obi-Wan sneaks into the corridor in the stalagmite-like tower on Geonosis, he stops and looks up. In the next shot of him, he is still standing and looking up, but the wall behind him is different from the previous shot. (01:12:40)

Continuity mistake: When Anakin and Padme are standing outside the Lars' house, we see their shadows projected on to the side of the house (with Anakin's shadow looking worryingly like Darth Vader's). However, in the next shot their shadows have moved about 4 feet to the left, and the shadows on the ground also change size and intensity between shots several times. (01:14:00)

Continuity mistake: When Anakin's mother is dying, she's stroking her son's cheek, and after she says, "I'm so proud of you, Ani" her hand repeatedly changes position between shots. (01:16:10)

Continuity mistake: When Anakin is holding his dead mother in his arms in the Tusken camp, he holds her closer to his shoulder in the close-ups than in the wide shots. (01:16:45)

Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones mistake picture

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Obi-Wan Kenobi is entering his space ship in order to make contact with Anakin he catches the tail of his costume between him and the left side of the cockpit. In the next shot of him he is perfectly settled and his costume is no longer caught. (01:18:35)

Andreas Winnberg

Continuity mistake: On Tatooine when Anakin first gets on to the swoop bike, two legs which the bike is standing (hovering) on is visible. This is even so while he is racing along tatooine landscape. These legs are no longer visible when he returns with Shmi. (01:23:10)

Continuity mistake: When Padmé decides to rescue Obi-Wan, she presses a button on the computer console in the starship. As the shot ends, she is still touching the button, but in the next shot, her hand is lying on a different part of the console. (01:25:45)

Continuity mistake: On Tatooine, after Anakin's mother died, and they laid her to rest, you notice the shadows of the tombstone's are all facing one direction. When R2-D2 comes over, you'll notice that his shadow is going in a different direction. Can't be explained by the two suns, as we've seen many times that they don't produce two distinct shadows. (01:27:45)

Count Dooku: What if I told you that the Republic was now under the control of a dark lord of the Sith?
Obi-Wan: No, that's not possible. The Jedi would sense it.
Count Dooku: The Dark Side has clouded their vision. Hundreds of senators are now under the influence of a Sith lord called Darth Sidious.

Question: Why did C-3PO go with them to Geonosis? I always figured protocol droids stayed with their masters unless they were sold?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Answer: Anakin built C3P0, remember? And Anakin had left C3P0 to take care of his mother. However Anakin's mother, Shmi, has now died. So 3P0 is now going along with his creator.
