Spider-Man

Continuity mistake: At the end of the film when we see MJ hugging Peter, in one shot you can see she moves her hand to his neck and close to his ear, yet from the front view, her hand is still on his back. (01:47:20)

The-Immortal

Continuity mistake: Near the end of the film the Green Goblin programs his glider to fly at Spider-Man, Spidey jumps out of the way and the glider continues to fly at the Green Goblin. You see a shot of the Green Goblin throwing his hands up next to his head, then a close-up shot of his face where he says "oh" but there are no hands. Then in the next shot from further away his hands are back by his head. (01:49:10)

Continuity mistake: In the final cemetery sequence, Peter and Mary Jane square off for a little heart to heart, with her touching his face tenderly with her black leather gloves. The camera intercuts between front views of both: in hers, her fingers are touching his ear lobe, in his, they are a inch below his ear lobe. In one quick cut of hers, the hand has disappeared completely, then in mid-sentence as they cut back to Peter, it's there again. (01:49:20)

Continuity mistake: In the end sequence between Peter and Mary Jane by Uncle Ben's grave, as the camera switches perspectives, there's a wayward lock of Peter's hair that disappears then reappears in different shots. (01:49:20)

Continuity mistake: The Green Goblin is impaled by the knives on his glider which are shown after they have punched through him and the brick wall, but there is no blood on them. (01:49:50)

Continuity mistake: When MJ kisses Peter in the cemetery, his head is leaning towards his left, and in the next shot, his head is leaning towards his right. (01:53:10)

Continuity mistake: Jameson is sitting in his office when another man bursts through the door. Jameson jumps and turns to look at him twice- first in the wide shot, and again in his closeup.

Continuity mistake: At the end of the film, when they are at Norman Osborn's funeral, just before and after they kiss, Peter's hair keeps changing.

Continuity mistake: When Jameson is talking to his coworker in his office, the other man holds out a paper. From one angle it's in his left hand, and from another angle it's in his right.

Krista

Continuity mistake: When Osborn awakens in the vault, the position of his hand grabbing the doctor's throat changes positions depending on the angle.

Continuity mistake: Bone Saw had four valets during the wrestling scene yet during the cage match he's only got three at ringside, one of the two blondes disappears.

Suggested correction: I just loaded up the scene. All four of them are definitely there during the cage match. There's even several shots where you can see all four at the same time.

TedStixon

Well I guess. It's just one seemed to be gone at one point during the cage match. Thank you.

Rob245

One of them was standing apart from the others. But all four are definitely there during the match, and like I said, all four are visible in the same shot several times.

Continuity mistake: When Spider-Man is being gassed by the Green Goblin, the mouthpiece of the Green Goblin's mask is open, and Osborne's lips are visible moving as he speaks to J. Jonah Jameson. Later in the scene where Spider-Man fights the Green Goblin in the burning building, a close-up of his mask is shown again, but this time there appears to be some kind of black mesh screen in the mouth of his mask.

Suggested correction: It's never fully open, it's just easier to see through the mesh in certain lighting.

Continuity mistake: This is a little hard to explain. During the Unity Day Festival, after Goblin beats up the cops, the shot cuts and he turns around to face Spider-Man, who lands in front of him. The problem? He was facing the same direction as Spider-Man in the previous shot (you can tell from the background), so it makes no sense that he has to turn around when the camera cuts.

TedStixon

Continuity mistake: At the Unity Day Festival, when Goblin says "Impressive!" and kicks Spider-Man away, watch closely. Goblin goes from standing on top of a bare ground to standing on top of some sort-of tarp instantly between cuts as Spider-Man hits the first table.

Continuity mistake: During the World Unity Festival, after the balcony begins to collapse, Mary Jane hits the railing and a support falls from it. The support reappears and stays until she falls.

Spider-Man mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When Mary Jane falls off the balcony she falls sideways except for a shot of her falling face down. Shot changes and she is falling sideways again.

Sacha

Factual error: In the museum, Peter is filming in real-time moving biological specimens shot through 'the largest electron microscope on the Eastern seaboard'. You can't film live specimens in an electron microscope. The electron beam only works in a vacuum chamber, in which the specimen - invariably dead - is held. The microscope is identified as a scanning electron microscope, and nobody can fire an electron stream through air. The electrons will collide with gas molecules and scatter, ruining the image.

Question: What was Tobey Maguire's full process to get Spider-man's body? What was his body and fighting training and food diets? Is there any website where they have it in full writing?

Answer: The following is taken directly from People Magazine May 27, 2002: WORKOUT: Maguire exercised for at least 3.5 hours, six days a week, with his regimen varying "depending on how sore he felt," says Joujon-Roche. Mornings were spent improving his flexibility with yoga and splits, along with building strength through abdominal and lower-body exercises on an oversize ball. "We would just work on each body part until we killed it," Joujon-Roche says. "Then the next day we'd go to another and kill that one." Afternoons were devoted to cardiovascular activities like martial arts and cycling, to burn fat, plus gymnastics. "Tobey did his own flips with that Spider-Man hood on," says Joujon-Roche. "We gave him self-assuredness." DIET: For breakfast Joujon-Roche made the actor, a vegetarian, a "high-protein shake that included nuts, essential oils and vitamins." Lunch, he says, was often "marinated tofu with broccoli and walnuts and dinner a big veggie burger with brown rice." The menu varied with Maguire's output. "If his workout was pure weights," says Joujon-Roche, "he needed protein. If he did cardio, he'd have a shake of all carbs."
