Spider-Man
Spider-Man mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When Mary Jane is being mugged by four men, Spider-Man throws two of the men into two windows behind Mary Jane. The shot switches to Spider-Man beating up the other two guys. When it cuts back to Mary Jane the two windows are intact. (01:17:00)

Spider-Man mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When Spider-Man is fighting the thugs that attacked Mary Jane, at one point he lifts a thug in the air and they are in the middle of the street. After it cuts to Mary Jane, now Spider-Man is holding the thug in the air with one foot on the curb. (01:17:05)

Continuity mistake: This is towards the end of the scene where Mary Jane had an encounter with the thugs and Spider-Man comes to save the day. After beating up the thugs, Spider-Man leaves through some dark alley way and Mary Jane looks around to find him. Suddenly, Spider-Man comes down his web, upside down, along a wall. She's about 3 feet away when he starts speaking, but when the angle changes and she jumps around she's right in front of him. (01:17:15)

Continuity mistake: During the kiss scene the camera changes view back and forth. From one angle it's raining, in other it is not, then at the end it's pouring as if in a storm. They had to do that scene at least 3 times. (01:17:50)

Spider-Man mistake picture

Continuity mistake: During the World Unity Festival when the Goblin attacks, there is a shot of Peter tearing off his shirt exposing a costume that is low cut at the neck. However, in the scene when Spider-Man and Mary Jane kiss in the rain, the costume comes halfway up his neck. (01:17:55)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Spider-Man has saved MJ from the thugs, after they kiss she peels his mask back, note she is right next to his face, yet in the following shot she is much further away from his face. (01:18:20)

The-Immortal

Continuity mistake: During the scene where the apartment building is on fire - a woman points directly up and exclaims, "Look up there!" while Spider-Man is still swinging towards the fire from several blocks away. (01:19:00)

Suggested correction: Movie scenes are not always in exact chronological order. A powerful attack getting shown 3 times from different angles for dramatic effect does not mean it happened 3 times. When woman points up, the movie shows Spider-Man approaching starting from a few seconds prior in time to show us some cool swinging action.

Spider-Man mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When Spider-Man finishes beating up the thugs and after Mary Jane kisses Spider-Man, when you watch the one shot from the side, Mary Jane only starts to put his mask back on. But when the angle changes, Spider-Man's mask is properly on when Mary Jane didn't even move her hands. (01:21:40)

Continuity mistake: When the building is on fire, you see a fireman (helmet has 57 on it) assisting in getting the residents out of the structure. Take notice that the fireman has an annoying strap hanging down from the top of his helmet. The strap disappears/reappears a few times during the scene. (01:22:05 - 01:22:45)

Continuity mistake: In the Thanksgiving dinner scene, watch Mary Jane's arms after Norman asks Peter to repeat how he got hurt. When she is shown close up, her arms are folded. In the long shot, her hands are in her lap. They jump back and forth between the two positions. (01:24:50)

Continuity mistake: In the Thanksgiving scene where they are waiting for Peter to arrive, Peter swings onto the side of the building and drops down onto the balcony of his bedroom. To soften the drop onto the balcony, he bends his knees. When he unbends them and takes off his mask (the next shot) he is in the center of his bedroom, not on the balcony where he landed in the shot previous. (01:25:50)

Continuity mistake: Close to the end of the film when the Green Goblin bursts in the window of Aunt May's house, in one shot you can see she is leaning by the side of the bed, and in all other shots she has her head on the bed. (01:27:05)

The-Immortal

Continuity mistake: During the bridge scene the wire supporting the tram/cable car was obviously anchored on the other end when the Green Goblin was holding it, because the car's suspended on a near horizontal line, with the regular support at one end and the Goblin on the other. All well and good, and even after Spider-Man grabs Mary Jane we see the car drop with the wire still looped through the pulley, both ends visible. In the next shot from above though, the other end of the wire's disappeared, and the car's now just hanging off a single cable which is attached to the top of the car. How'd that happen? (01:38:25)

Spider-Man mistake picture

Continuity mistake: In the scene just before the final fight between the Goblin and Spider-Man, Spider-Man gets knocked through a wall and rolls right up against another wall, but when the bomb flies in as he's getting to his feet, he's suddenly in a much more open area with no wall anywhere near him. (01:40:55)

Continuity mistake: In the final battle scene, Goblin's costume alternates between clean (green) and dirty (white/dusty) throughout the scene. (01:41:30)

Continuity mistake: At the end when Spider-Man dumps the brick wall on the Green Goblin, the wall is still in one piece after it's landed in the long shot, but when the angle changes, the wall's almost destroyed, and the Goblin pushes his hand up through rubble. (01:42:55)

Continuity mistake: At the end of the film when we see Norman Osborn offer Peter his hand, if you watch he offers his hand twice. (01:44:20)

The-Immortal

Continuity mistake: At the end of the film just before Norman Osborn's glider zooms in and kills Norman, Norman is standing right by the hole in the wall, yet when the glider hits him, he has moved quite some distance to his left and is now at a large part of the wall. (01:44:40)

The-Immortal

Spider-Man mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When Norman is getting ready to test himself, he lies down on the bed, fastens himself in and the doctor goes to the computer. However, when it shows him being brought in to the chamber he has several electrodes connected to his chest and head. (00:15:20)

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: At first the electrodes are beside Norman's head. While the doctor is fixing him in place, at one point camera focuses on his face. Later when he's stepping back for the PC, the electrodes can actually be seen stuck on his body. You can see them if you have an HD copy. So the camera focusing on his face is indicating that the doctor's doing whatever necessary for the process.

Question: What was Tobey Maguire's full process to get Spider-man's body? What was his body and fighting training and food diets? Is there any website where they have it in full writing?

Answer: The following is taken directly from People Magazine May 27, 2002: WORKOUT: Maguire exercised for at least 3.5 hours, six days a week, with his regimen varying "depending on how sore he felt," says Joujon-Roche. Mornings were spent improving his flexibility with yoga and splits, along with building strength through abdominal and lower-body exercises on an oversize ball. "We would just work on each body part until we killed it," Joujon-Roche says. "Then the next day we'd go to another and kill that one." Afternoons were devoted to cardiovascular activities like martial arts and cycling, to burn fat, plus gymnastics. "Tobey did his own flips with that Spider-Man hood on," says Joujon-Roche. "We gave him self-assuredness." DIET: For breakfast Joujon-Roche made the actor, a vegetarian, a "high-protein shake that included nuts, essential oils and vitamins." Lunch, he says, was often "marinated tofu with broccoli and walnuts and dinner a big veggie burger with brown rice." The menu varied with Maguire's output. "If his workout was pure weights," says Joujon-Roche, "he needed protein. If he did cardio, he'd have a shake of all carbs."
