Continuity mistake: A back view of the group of four-wheelers starting out driving through the field showed distinct tire tracks in mostly low, dry brown grass. Various other views showed little or no discernible tire tracks, tall lush green grass, and mixed dry brown and green grass. Continuity mistake: After Diane lit and switched her cigarette to her right hand (and off-camera), most front views of her left arm showed it in front of her, along her stomach, but rear views showed her holding the cigarette in her left hand with her arm more perpendicular to her stomach. Continuity mistake: Numerous times throughout the movie (within and between scenes), the length of Amber's bangs varies - from above, to touching, and into her eyebrows. The length even changed, at times, from the beginning to end of a short telephone call.
Continuity mistake: The appearance of young JR's hair has many inconsistencies. For example, JR's parted bangs (on the left) are long enough to hang part-way into his right eyebrow while he is walking toward the bedroom, but his bangs are well above his eyebrow when he is standing in the bedroom doorway. When JR is in bed that night, his bangs are separated along the right side of his forehead, but neatly combed together (no gaps) after a camera shift and contrary to gravity. (00:05:10)

When the camera shifted to Elaine, the curtains/blinds behind her were closed, which would not enable enough sunlight to penetrate into the room and onto Nathan like it did. Continuity mistake: The glass of Charlotte's orange-coloured drink fluctuates between about three-fourths to two-thirds full, including suddenly changing when she merely starts to bend over to pick up a utensil. Continuity mistake: There isn't anything immediately in front of the storage shed when Edee opens the door. Inside, looking out, there is some type of diagonal, long thin branches or vines extending to the ground, which are gone in the subsequent view. (00:09:42)

Continuity mistake: After Mike punches Gurty, the right ear flap of Gurty's hat is covered in snow in the front shots, but clear in the shots from behind - alternating between the two throughout the scene.
