Continuity mistake: Patrick (head sex trafficker played by Rourke) calls his "pretty babies" to "come to daddy" and two black dogs sit with him, one on each side. When one of Patrick's goons (Dwayne) enters the barn, the dogs change within a few seconds. The two black dogs are suddenly gone and a brown dog takes their place. Continuity mistake: The dead rabbit was thrown onto its left side with its back almost parallel to the table's edge (width) and its nose/head almost in the corner. There was a bowl of several brown eggs several inches away from the rabbit's stomach. When the camera shifts, the rabbit's head has shifted at an angle away from the corner, its rear feet are slightly hanging over the table's edge (length), the bowl of eggs is touching the rabbit's stomach, and the eggs are piled on the opposite side of the bowl. Continuity mistake: At the Internet Store, Spencer was told his house was "right outside" the service area, internet was not available, and a satellite would not work. At the Phone Store, Chad told Lynn and Zoe they were in the "dead zone." When Lynn answered Spencer's call by putting her head out the upstairs window, she said, "The service is great up here." Lynn and Zoe could listen to the news on their cell phone in the kitchen and Zoe read about asteroids just outside the front door. Internet worked? (00:04:53 - 00:28:00)
Continuity mistake: Views of Paul falling (pushed) down the stairs showed different positions from the top of the stairs, the landing, and from the downstairs floor. His back ended up on the landing with his legs bent and feet on the third step. (The form/size of the step itself was awkward - there wasn't enough room for Paul's whole foot.) A view from the top of the steps showed his left leg on the landing, bent with his foot under his right leg, which was on the step. A side view showed yet another position. (01:33:33)
Continuity mistake: Vivian is trying on a red dress in her dressing room when Lucille comes in to talk to her. Throughout the scene as the shots switch back and forth, the dress goes from being pulled up on Vivian's right shoulder, to off the shoulder part way down her arm.
Continuity mistake: Annie's car's steering wheel is on the left side, but her dashcam showed her on the right side. Both hands appeared to be on/near the steering wheel (not adjusting the dashcam), followed by a brief view of her right hand playing on a keyboard, then returning to Annie who was now on the left side with her left hand on the steering wheel and a cigarette in her right hand. Also, when Annie was on the right side driving, there was no overhead light on above her head, but there was after she moved. (00:15:32 - 00:16:02)
Continuity mistake: The choke chain collar on Mr. Bojangles was pulled snug against his neck with several inches of the chain hanging, then ends of the choke chain were hanging around his neck as loosely as possible (similar to wearing a necklace). Continuity mistake: A back view of the group of four-wheelers starting out driving through the field showed distinct tire tracks in mostly low, dry brown grass. Various other views showed little or no discernible tire tracks, tall lush green grass, and mixed dry brown and green grass. Continuity mistake: Numerous times throughout the movie (within and between scenes), the length of Amber's bangs varies - from above, to touching, and into her eyebrows. The length even changed, at times, from the beginning to end of a short telephone call.
Continuity mistake: There isn't anything immediately in front of the storage shed when Edee opens the door. Inside, looking out, there is some type of diagonal, long thin branches or vines extending to the ground, which are gone in the subsequent view. (00:09:42)
