Continuity mistake: When Eddie falls through the floorboards, you can see his arm looks perfectly fine and is unbroken in a few quick shots. After the movie cuts back to him a few moments later, suddenly his arm is badly broken. (01:20:30 - 01:23:25)
Continuity mistake: In the opening scenes where he gets his mustang back, he hits the guy who comes over the roof and busts the windshield, but in the very next shot the windshield is pristine. (00:07:45)
Continuity mistake: When Frankie is fighting Mitch and gets thrown off the balcony the diaper bin on his head comes off, but in the next shot when he lands in the pool it's back on his head.
Continuity mistake: When Finn is going to an escape pod to run away, he puts his pack down in front of it, seen again in a later shot. When Rose realises he's trying to run away, his pack has moved itself inside the pod.
Continuity mistake: When the Stukas are shown bombing the beach, they drop a single bomb, but from beach level, you see sticks of bombs landing.
Suggested correction: The Stukas are dropping SD-2 canister bombs, a particularly nasty anti-personnel weapon. Upon release from the aircraft the bomb divided into the bomblets you see here.
First known use was bombing of England, no evidence they were used at Dunkirk. Also, the SD-2 was smaller and produced numerous small explosions. The ones we see in Dunkirk are larger and much bigger than anything the little SD-2 could ever produce - so the original criticism sticks.
Continuity mistake: Daniels' face gets splattered with blood, in a following shot there's slightly less blood, then when she uses the radio to call back the others, her face on the screen shows no blood at all. In the other shots after it's there again.
Continuity mistake: After Belle says good morning to Jean Potts, when she feeds the apple to the donkey note the rope (crosstie) is tied off at the donkey's throat, but in the next closeup the rope is tied off directly to the halter knot at its cheek.
Continuity mistake: When Karl Urban is defending the Asgardians, the dust covers on his rifles vary between being open and closed several times. M16 dust covers are sprung loaded - they open on the first shot and have to be manually closed afterwards.
Continuity mistake: When the main character goes to visit his friend that had been shot in Iraq, they're driving down a country road in a 2 door Dodge Challenger, but when inside the vehicle it's a Dodge Charger, which is a four door car.
Continuity mistake: When Sammy first offers the drink to Diana (in a close up), Diana takes the mug in her left hand. Just before the camera switches to a long shot, Diana switches the mug to her right hand. In the long shot, Diana still has the mug in her left hand and she sets it on the wall to her left. The camera switches back to a close up and Diana again has the mug in her right hand. When Steve asks her to dance, Diana again sets the mug down on the wall, this time to her right.
Continuity mistake: During the "This is me" sequence, the tattooed man is wearing a red cape. During the last few seconds of the song, he loses the cape and then it reappears again. (00:59:55)
Continuity mistake: Before the race in Thomasville Cruz has the 20 number only on her right side but later she has the number also on her left.
Continuity mistake: When the moms are making gingerbread houses the candies on the houses change with each shot.
Continuity mistake: While everybody hooks Dom the sun on the floor changes between shots.
Continuity mistake: The table outside the train, where Hercule and Ms. Debenham were sitting at with the coffeepot and cups, is missing when they stand up and return to the train.
Continuity mistake: After Peter gets the text from Happy about meeting at the bathroom, Michelle asks, "What are you hiding, Peter?" and just as she says, "I'm just kidding I don't care," Peter's holding his cell phone up in his left hand, but next shot he's holding the cell phone up in his right hand.
Continuity mistake: When Ana and Christian prepare for the masquerade, Ana is wearing sexy underset comprising corset, stockings and everything. After the party when they start having sex, Ana wears nothing but underpants underneath her dress.
Continuity mistake: When Mildred and her son pull up in the station wagon, there is a drink thrown at the car that hits the windshield. She gets out and confronts them, and then walks back to her car, with no evidence of anything having hit the windshield. It would be running down the glass and was a pretty thick substance. Continuity mistake: The amount of ketchup and mustard on the prison chef's apron changes between shots.
Continuity mistake: The amount of damage to the car Kincaid is driving changes drastically between shots. Most noticeable right after he kills the motorcycle driver he does a jump and the hood and headlights break off. It cuts to the others running through the streets for a few seconds, then cuts back to him as he passes under a bridge - the front of the car is almost completely repaired as he is under the bridge, then changes back to damaged after he leaves.
