Revealing mistake: When Picard is trying to squeeze through the rock archway, he looks like he's stuck, but a closer look reveals he has enough room above his back to squeeze through without any trouble.
Revealing mistake: After the Martian who is dressed up as a women spits a finger in the fish tank a bit of the Martian's mask near its mouth is torn away. As she chews the nitrogen gum the human lips move but her real teeth don't. (01:04:20)
Revealing mistake: During the close-up of the gas canisters, the condensation is running upwards and "into" the valve. (01:31:10)
Revealing mistake: The "blower" on the yellow Firebird never runs. NO wonder he couldn't beat the Wraith. (00:44:10)
Revealing mistake: You can see the stick making the finger move when it's in the box. (00:38:20)
Revealing mistake: In the scene where O'Neil is fighting Ra's bodyguard, the bodyguard uses claws and hits O'Neil's back, tearing his shirt and wounding him. But you can see Kurt's "wounds" and torn shirt right before he's hit by the bodyguard (a scene after Ra's bodyguard's claws are shown). (01:49:10)
Revealing mistake: You can see the blue screens on Bruce Banner's glasses when Tony Stark is talking to him about embracing the Hulk rather than disliking it. (00:57:40)
Revealing mistake: After the snake lady is dead, eyes open, Deckard rolls her head from camera right to camera left. Her eyes move. (00:59:15)
Revealing mistake: The Thing takes a swing at the captain after the captain opens the door. As the Thing swings his arm, he takes out a chunk of wood out of the door. If you step through the frames on the DVD, you can see the wood leaving the door a full second after the Thing has hit it. A small explosive charge that was not in sync with the actor. You can also see the outline of where the wood comes off before he swings his arm. And one more thing, his arm does not touch the door or even comes close to where the wood comes off - a safety precaution I presume. (00:57:33)
Suggested correction: It is not a full second delay. It is four frames which translates to 1/6 of a second. Everything described in this entry is only visible if you step through frame by frame which invalidates the mistake.
Revealing mistake: When we see Dark Helmets' hoverjeep in the desert, watch the front end: you can clearly make out the edge of the mirrored box they used for the "hover" effect.
Revealing mistake: In the scene where Evan wakes up and notices that he has no arms, right when you see the stubs you can see a faint shadow moving next to his head and moving on the headboard. This shadow is the shadow of his hand before it was digitally removed. (00:29:15)
Revealing mistake: When they get Renn back into the room after he has been shot in the face with something acid-like, the smoke comes from behind his head. Not his face.
Revealing mistake: Many times throughout the movie, people are shot and they bleed, but their clothes don't have holes from where the bullets hit them. The most noticeable examples are when the teacher is shot at the end, and when the big gun fight between the girls breaks out in the lighthouse.
Revealing mistake: When Kadaj kneels in front of Rufus Shinra, watch his sword. As he kneels, it goes through the floor.
Revealing mistake: When Jonny is running away from Terl in the mall at the start of the film, he goes through several panes of glass, smashing through them. One of them breaks up before he hits it.
Revealing mistake: When Ellie is traveling through space, she unbuckles herself from the chair to retrieve the compass. The chair then breaks off from the violent movements of the space pod, and slams up against the ceiling. At this moment, Ellie is in deep space in a completely weightless environment. She is floating, suspended in the pod and the chair itself floats a bit before being slammed upwards by the force of the pod movement. But, some small parts of the chair (bolts, etc.) are seen falling directly down, towards us in obvious full gravity; revealing that the scene was actually shot in normal gravity.
Revealing mistake: In the scene near the end when water is filling up the submarine, Kirk Douglas begins fighting with a member of the crew to escape. As Douglas hits him his false sideburn falls off and flies across the screen.
Revealing mistake: In the scene at the stadium where Lisa is helping Neville escape from Mathias' people, it is extremely obvious that in the far shots, it is a stunt man (wearing a very bad grey wig) driving the motorcycle, and Charlton Heston in the close up shots.
Revealing mistake: When the two dinosaurs are fighting besides the cliff, Malone and Jennifer Holmes hide behind a rock overlooking the cliff. One of the dinosaurs sweeps its tail, and knocks the two lovebirds over the cliff, but they fall onto a rock jutting out from the cliff. After we see them fall, there is a wide shot of the dinosaur swinging its tail. He swings it one way, then the other. After he swings it the first way, the tail freezes in mid-air for a split second, then swings the other way. It's obviously the same shot of the first tail swing, but played in reverse with a pause in between.
Revealing mistake: At the scene where all the spy kids are fighting the waiters, watch Gary as he is fighting. The waiter he is fighting throws him back, but then Gary activates his rockets shoes. Yet to activate those shoes you have to tap them together. The rocket shoes activate a few seconds before Gary tapped his heels together.
