Deliberate mistake: After the trilithium missile hits the sun, it is shown going out in real time from Veridian III. As the planet is relatively earth-like, it is several light-minutes away from the sun. The filmmakers wanted it to be obvious that the missile was successful, so they ignored the speed of light. Deliberate mistake: When Boo laughs repeatedly while playing hide-n-seek with Sully in the men's room, nothing happens to the electricity - no surges as with all other times she laughs. [In the audio commentary by the directors, they explained that it would've been distracting if an energy surge occurred every time Boo laughed, so they simply didn't address the issue. A reasonable course of action, but still a mistake.] (00:37:30)
Deliberate mistake: Spoilers! When Black Manta is defeated, he is knocked unconscious and tumbles down a rock face after his helmet explodes on his face into the waters by the shores of Sicily. These currents and waves at best would have carried him to the rocks or the beach, leaving him on land or near it. However in the after credit scene he's somehow found out in the middle of the ocean on a broken drift wood. He would not have been carried back out to sea like that.
Suggested correction: The water is tidal. If the tide was going out, the current would take him out to sea.
There are hardly any tides in the Mediterranean Sea http://scienceline.ucsb.edu/getkey.php?key=995.
Deliberate mistake: In Paris' death scene, he blows alcohol onto his torch that illuminates the creatures around him. However the area is still illuminated after the light from his torch has disappeared. (01:12:05)
Deliberate mistake: When Austin and Felicity cross the street when they are shopping, you can see green hills behind them, very much like Hollywood and not 1969 London. (Deliberate reference to an earlier joke)
Deliberate mistake: When Jar Jar gets arrested in the Gungan city, in the second shot of Jar Jar and Obi-Wan, Obi-Wan and a part of the floor behind him are reversed. This can be seen, for example, because two of the red areas on the floor have switched positions, and Obi-Wan's braid and lightsaber are on the wrong side. (00:14:00)
Deliberate mistake: There are a number of things wrong with the roller coaster scene (besides the obvious impossibility of a crash like this actually occurring): 1) The restraints use ratchets to lock, not hydraulics. A coaster of this type wouldn't even have any hydraulic lines. 2) The attendants didn't check all the restraints. This is ALWAYS necessary, on ANY ride. 3) On any roller coaster, the Dispatch button (or "Start" in the movie) must be held down until the train is clear of the station. This is a safety feature to make sure the attendants are clear of the moving train. If the button is released before the train is clear of the station, it will stop. 4) At the bottom of the lift, the lift chain curves to follow the track into the station. This is impossible, a lift chain cannot curve horizontally, only vertically (normally at the top of the hill).
Deliberate mistake: When Jack fights the impostor, they are roughly the same height, but when the impostor is revealed to be Angelica, she is suddenly much shorter than him. (00:21:30 - 00:23:50)
Deliberate mistake: If you pay extremely close attention to the scene of all of the Decepticons responding to the small Transformer's message regarding the location of the Allspark, notice that the shot of the police car and the fake helicopter pilot are duplicate shots used earlier in the film.
Deliberate mistake: When Agent Hoffman writes the letter to Amanda, he puts the envelope so her name is pointing down, yet when Amanda opened this drawer in Saw III her name was at the top. The director had to do this or it would have revealed Hoffman was the new apprentice all along.
Deliberate mistake: When the New York subway is flooded the interior shot shows the station is Wilshire Blvd. Wilshire Blvd is in Los Angeles and the film clip appears to be stock footage from the Universal Studios Tour ride.
Deliberate mistake: Obviously due to the family nature of the film, but when Peter stabs the White Witch's henchmen at battle, the sword always remains clean, and never bloody. (This is a Disney family film and as such no blood is shown. Still a mistake, but there's the reason). (01:56:10)
Deliberate mistake: In the shot where the F-14 and F5 canopies are only 3-feet apart, you can see that the writing on the side of MAVs F-14 is backwards. Also, if the F-14 was inverted, with the sun more-or-less above, its cockpit would be in shadow, not with sunlight on the nose, as seen. (00:08:55)
Deliberate mistake: When the Matoban delegation arrives at the UN, it shows the motorcade entering the circle in front of the UN Secretariat building and stopping at the revolving doors right at the front the staff entrance. Diplomats' motorcades always continue on to the delegates' entrance under a protective tent in front of the GA building so as to allow VIPs to alight from their vehicles to prevent potential snipers from having a view of them. The very next shot of the ambassador shows him riding the escalator, which is at the delegates' entrance, going up to the General Assembly building. This would not have been possible unless they made him walk about 300 meters outside in broad daylight. No chance of that seeing he was already being protested on 2nd avenue all the way from the Queensboro bridge. Obvious reason for this error: The shot of the delegation getting out of the cars looks far better in the open right in front of the UN secretariat building rather than inside a protective tent.
Deliberate mistake: In the first scene Velma gets sprayed by the hose and slips but gets her foot caught on the chain; hanging upside down, but her skirt doesn't go "up". Deliberate to maintain the "family movie" tone. (00:02:40)
Deliberate mistake: In the scene where the bad guy is attached to the missile and fired, in the split second before it hits the helicopter you can see below it a building called SUN BANK, but the letters are backwards. A close look reveals the likely reason - to the right of the reversed building is one which looks just like the building to the LEFT of the Sun Bank building behind the harrier a few seconds earlier. Most likely they couldn't film the chopper from the right side because there was a building there (the one the camera flies through), so they filmed it from the other side (the same side they'd filmed the harrier from), catching the "Sun Bank" behind, then had to flip it to have everything facing the right way. (02:06:55)
Deliberate mistake: At the end fight scene, when they are in the barn one of the men falls crashes through the wall when they get hit, spilling the fight to the outside. Unless the barn's walls were made of cheap plywood, the wall would not have given away so easily. Obviously done for dramatic purposes.
Deliberate mistake: During the fire Marge runs back into the house and goes to the kitchen cabinet that has a "keepsake cabinet" nameplate and a keyhole, in order to remove the wedding video, but the nameplate and keyhole didn't exist before. (00:33:35)
Deliberate mistake: There are several large security mistakes that were obviously added to the film to move the plot forward. The takeover of "Control" would not happen that way. The Secret Service keeps it in a secret off site location which not even the security detail knows. This location is in some kind of very remote bunker to prevent what happens in the movie. Secondly, when the threat is identified and the switch to the double is made, the President would have been moved to a secure bunker created for the purpose until the threat was dealt with.
Suggested correction: It actually could still be possible for a takeover of "Control" to happen even if it was a secret off site location/secure bunker. Depending on Taylor's security clearance and how high up he is in the secret service, he could have been one of the few in the security detail that knew where the secret location was. Since he's the one that got Barnes back on detail, he most likely has a high clearance.
No actually it couldn't be possible for takeover of control. No one in the security the detail knows where the secret location is. Even if Taylor had a high clearance it only grants access to a limited number of places. One of the places it doesn't grant access to is the secret location.
With a high enough clearance it could still have been possible. Not to mention there could have been more than one mole in the secret service other than Taylor who had the clearance to know the locations.
Read it again. "Even if Taylor had a high security clearance it only grants to a limited number of places. One of the places it doesn't grant access is the secret location." So Taylor would not have access to the secret location no matter how high his security clearance was.
Takeover control couldn't be possible if the location was an the location an off site secret bunker because the villains wouldn't be able to find it. Even if Taylor had a high security clearance he wouldn't know where the secret bunker because if he was ever allowed in there he would blindfolded to prevent him from learning where the bunker was. Taylor would get arrested if he learned where the bunker was.
Only the service officials know where the bunker is. Taylor is not a secret service official.
Deliberate mistake: The morning after the flyers are spread, Buster is sleeping in a drawer. When his alarm clock goes off, he hits his head at the top of the drawer, but later on, he can be seen standing up in it, easily visible when he is putting his coat on. The drawer obviously became wider for him to stand up in it.
