Character mistake: When Randy is introduced for his semi-final match, he comes out to "Rock of Ages" by Def Leppard. The announcer says the song is by the "supergroup" Def Leppard. A supergroup is comprised of band members who were previously successful solo artists or band members prior to joining this band. Def Leppard is an original band. None of the band members were famous or successful prior to this band. (00:03:00)
Suggested correction: At best, this is trivia. Perhaps if the announcer was in the music business and knew the music jargon, it could be seen as a character mistake. I myself never knew "supergroup" had a specific meaning until you mentioned it. To me, it sounded like he just thought Def Leppard was super. Like calling them a totally radical group, despite no members being radicals - someone who wants complete political or social reform.
Character mistake: Dooley refers to his car several times, saying "my 1965 Mustang." It is actually a 1966 Mustang.
Character mistake: A guidance counselor/principal told Calvin, "You're a very very smart young man. Perhaps even gifted. Last year you scored in the top ten percentile on the PSAT..." Because Calvin deliberately "blew" the SAT, the school official was going to make arrangements for Calvin to retake it. But this would not be necessary. The PSAT score (out of 1520) is considered equal to the SAT score (1600). The school official would be more helpful by getting Calvin admitted to college using the PSAT score. (00:08:35)
Character mistake: Daphne's mother is the one who pressed her husband to tell her the truth, but she is cheering when he says about the basketball anecdote that it was 'real', when later he corrects himself saying "real-ly me, disguised as a mascot." (00:17:25)
Character mistake: During the dénouement, Benoit Blanc starts "That night, Lionel faxed Andi's email to Miles." But it's established that he faxed it minutes after receiving the mail, which was sent at 4 pm. 4 pm in May, that's hardly 'night'. And it can't be night where Lionel is, since he shows up a little later together with Claire, from Connecticut, at the house of the victim in the New York area. (01:52:25)
Character mistake: At the boat when the two bodyguards frisk Shag, he fakes a gay yelp and then walks away with Erin. You can see the one guard on the right, try not to break (crack up) as they walk away.

Character mistake: The man on the phone told Mr. Lee he wanted $960,000 cash plus $1,726,000 transferred into his account. Because the Deputy Manager was killed when the bomb in his car exploded, Mr. Lee was later told he had to pay for his share, another $1,726,000 - so he needed to transfer $3,456,000. But $1,726,000 + 1,726,000 = $3,452,000. (00:11:20 - 00:20:32)
Character mistake: When David Frost interviews the fictional actor Bryan Martin, he adds a last question to the interview saying "before you go" and acts as if the guest is not gonna stay (as it often happens in talk shows, when some guests, especially the more famous ones, leave after their bit is over). However Martin is staying and in fact there is a special mystery guest a bit later that makes sense only if he is in fact staying. (00:02:00)
Character mistake: At the end of the movie, Darryl tells Calvin they don't have a back door. There's a back door in the kitchen and another door that goes back to the backyard patio.
Character mistake: Aldo tells Rodolfo to reconcile with his son, saying "Sunday is my birthday." Aldo Gucci was born on May 26th, which was not a Sunday in 1980 nor 1981, which is when the scene would take place. (00:31:30)
Character mistake: Twice over in the movie (when Healy wakes up and when March at the end of the movie drives to his place) billboards for The Comedy Store appear. The program of the evening features comedians such as Tim Allen, Richard Lewis, Robert Klein and "Elaine Boosler." So they misspelled Elayne Boosler's name. (00:10:50 - 01:48:35)

Character mistake: The caption under Shrike's picture in the newspaper that Alma is reading, referring to the circumstances of Shrike's accidental death in a locked safe trick, reads 'Police say famed magician Lionel Shrike vigorously attempting to free himself to no avail.' It should be 'attempted', given he tried and failed, then died, so is unlikely to give it a second go.
Character mistake: When Chafuka is controlling the zombie Barry with her voodoo doll, he's supposed to be repeating her words so precisely that he even imitates her accent. But when she says "that darn fool paper, it fall on the ground," Barry repeats it as "The darn fool paper fell down to the ground."
