Question: When Shelby is telling her mom about the pregnancy, what does Shelby mean when she says, "I think it would help things a lot"?

Answer: She means that she and Jackson (her husband) are having marital problems. Jackson wants a son, and she's hoping that having one will bring them closer together.

raywest

Answer: She did say he likes to hunt for everything.

Answer: I always felt it meant her husband is cheating on her. And so her having the baby would hopefully help them get back together.

Question: When Jeffrey and Sandy are discussing where Isabella Rossellini lived, it is mentioned that she lived on the 7th floor of the apartment building. When they show the outside of the building it appears to have only 4 floors. Was this symbolic or an oversight?

Answer: There's probably not any symbolic meaning, despite the number seven having multiple magical connotations to it. Most likely, this is just a movie inconsistency.

Question: The Queen of Egypt (I'm pretty sure her name is Tuya, but is she ever named in the film?) is portrayed as being a kind person almost every time she appears, but in the very beginning there is a moment I don't understand. When she's holding baby Moses, she throws dirty looks at the two servant girls who are with her, for seemingly no reason. What gives?

Answer: The Queen's name is never mentioned. Onto your other question she gives the stern look to "suggest" to the slave girls that they are to remain silent on where Moses came from.

MasterOfAll

Question: Why does Magneto make the effort to salvage his helmet when he knows that Charles cannot use his telepathy due to the serum? Is the helmet just part of the outfit?

Answer: As shown in the film, if Charles stops taking the medication he can once again use his powers. Additionally it grants the benefits of protecting him from other telepaths and, in the original trilogy of films, it was suggested that his helmet helps him focus his powers. On top of all this, it would provide physical protection for him.

Question: When Harry and Ron show up late at Hogwarts and are caught by Filch, why does Filch take them to Snape and not McGonagall? I know Filch does not like any of the students because he's a Squib (a pureblood with no magical power) and he knew Snape would tell them off severely, but as Ron and Harry are Gryffindor students, they should have been taken to McGonagall no questions asked.

Heather Benton

Chosen answer: Filch wanted the boys to be punished and he knew Snape would inflict a harsher punishment than McGonagall.

Question: Why are there no baby penguins in the scene where they go to the zoo and escape?

Answer: Zoos in places without lots of natural arctic temperatures are probably not equipped well enough to care for the acute needs that baby penguins would require.

Question: What I don't understand at the end is the following: 1. Jack wanted to stab DJ's heart and become the immortal captain of TFD. 2. Will did not particularly want to stab the heart, as it would mean losing Elizabeth and consigning himself to being alone as the captain of TFD, but it was the only way he knew of to keep his promise to his dad to release him from service. 3. Elizabeth definitely did not want Will to do the above, because then they could not be together. There is a scene where Jack is holding his broken sword next to DJ's beating heart, threatening to stab it. This is before DJ stabbed Will. Instead of threatening, why didn't he just stab it and get it over with? Everyone gets what they want. He becomes captain, he has the power to release Will's dad, and Will gets to fulfill his promise, and be together with Elizabeth. Why did Jack hesitate and screw up the situation?

Excelsior!

Chosen answer: Jack wanted Davy Jones to know that he had the heart and show that he had the most power right before Jones died. He was going to stab the heart but Davy Jones then stabbed Will and Jack had no choice to have Will stab the heart because he knew it was the only way for Will to survive, even if it means giving up the opportunity to be immortal.

Casual Person

Answer: As Will had said to Jack before Jack pushed him off the Black Pearl for Beckett to find, "You have to do the duty Jack. You have to ferry souls or end up just like Jones."

Question: What movie are Annie, Oliver Warbucks and Grace watching at the theater?

Captain Defenestrator

Question: This occured to me after watching all the movies. Until the end of this movie, everyone thought Sirius Black supported Voldemort. Therefore, if Severus Snape wants Voldemort to believe that he is loyal to him and is only faking his allegiance to Dumbledore, why does he attempt to capture Sirius and turn him over to the Dementors? Wouldn't he have to explain to Voldemort why he attacked a fellow servant?

Answer: This is not explained well in the movie. Snape was motivated purely by hatred toward Sirius that extended back to when they were students at Hogwarts together. Young Sirius bullied Snape relentlessly and nearly got him killed by playing a trick on him. Like others, he also erroneously believed Black had betrayed the Potters. Snape never forgave him and was so blinded by wanting revenge that he would let the Dementors suck out his soul. Snape would not have to explain anything to Voldemort because Sirius, unlike his family, was never a Death Eater nor did he ever serve the Dark Lord. In fact, he joined the Order of the Phoenix and fought against Voldemort. The Dark Lord knew this.

Question: The prophecy says that Voldemort and Harry can't both survive, so why have they both been alive since the last movie and Voldemort doesn't die for another two movies?

Answer: The prophecy means that they are destined to confront one another at some point in time, and both will die (by killing each other). It does not mean they cannot be alive on the earth at the same time. Also, the prophecy was made before Lily Potter sacrificed herself to save baby Harry. Her death created a spell that gave Harry added protection.

Question: 2 part question, 1. I know he only just turned but surely Eben would have attacked his friends, the man hiding under the building (who Eben kills near the swings) had only just turned yet did not hesitate and attacked Eben instantly, so why didn't Eben do the same? 2. The head vampire tells the others not to turn anyone, why not? Surely they would want as many vampires as possible to make killing the resisting humans easier and to make up the numbers should they lose any, why didn't he want anyone to turn?

Answer: The hiding man had no idea what had happened to him and so was just running on his new animalistic instinct. Eben became a vampire knowingly, willingly, and so he was able to move past that stage immediately. As you can see by the behavior of the lead vampire, a bit of restraint and humanity is not impossible to achieve. The lead vampire did not want anyone turned because that would mean more vampires to share the blood with. He didn't anticipate much in the way of resistance from the humans, they being weaker, slower, creatures.

Phixius

Also, the man under the building was attacked ~7 days earlier.

Show generally

Question: I understand that the show won the Emmy for Best Made-For-TV Movie or Miniseries. And, yet, the show has had more seasons. Just how do the rules for that category work and what made Downton Abbey eligible to be considered a miniseries?

Answer: Yes, because at the time it was not sure if it would continue and since it was short it could be seen as a miniseries. it also depends on where the producers decide to submit it. However since it continues on it is no longer a miniseries but a full series and thus cannot be submitted in the miniseries category anymore.

Chosen answer: It is basically in reference to the fact that when they arrived, everything that was happening happened when they were leaving the last world. So it was basically time again means it is the same thing and world means similar world.

Question: Did that bounty hunter in the bar ever realise that he was in fact talking to Billy the Kid... Prior to being shot?

Gavin Jackson

Chosen answer: He may have. When Billy started whistling, the bounty hunter's face changes. He continues to speak to Billy in a dismissive tone, but does eventually pull the trigger (although Billy had unloaded the pistol). Hard to believe he would just shoot some mouthy kid in a bar.

Question: What exactly was the role of Martina in the movie? Was she spying on Hulk in any way, as she lived in the same building as Banner as shown while he was being chased by Blonsky? Or was Banner in love with her while he was in Brazil?

dhavami

Chosen answer: Neither. Martina was simply a woman who happened to live in the same building and work in the same factory as Bruce. She was however attracted to him.

Question: What part did I miss to know about the twins at the end of the movie? Also when exactly did Loki lose his weapon to Hydra? Does Loki's weapon have the Tesseract in it?

dhavami

Chosen answer: The Twins are Pietro and Wanda Maximoff, aka Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, who appear in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Loki's staff was recovered by SHIELD after The Avengers, but of course, SHIELD had HYDRA agents in place to take it. Loki's staff is powered by the Mind Stone, one of the infinity gems.

Question: At the very end of the movie, when Sy's camera ends up having only photos of "the little things" as opposed to the pictures of the other characters pretending to have sex, I interpreted it as Sy not having actually TAKEN pictures of the couple, but really taking pictures of the room itself, on purpose - so that the pictures wouldn't get out, but instead he would just be giving them what he feels they deserved. However, on a couple other websites I have found the ending interpreted as Sy having hidden or disposed of the film that he took the lewd photographs with. Are either of these considered to be "correct"?

Answer: There is a line from the cop at the very beginning of the film in the interview room with Cy "We processed the roll of film we found in your bag Mr. Parish, they're not very pretty pictures. Also you left a camera in the hotel, we processed that roll as well. "As he talks about the second roll he indicates the folder containing the photos we see at the end. Therefore we can assume the "not very pretty photos" found on the roll of film in the bag are the lewd ones of the pretend sex acts. Whether he left the other ones behind as a cover or what he intended to do with the lewd ones we can but guess.

Question: Why did Harry and Nagini crash into a child's room at Bathilda Bagshot's house in Godric's Hollow?

lelapc

Chosen answer: The child's bedroom is part of the neighbor's house that is attached to Bathilda's. It was just part of their fight, not something intentional.

Answer: There are many reasons that known actors appear in movies and are uncredited. Cameo appearances often go un-credited. Actors sometimes do a cameo if they are friends with the director or the other stars. It can add an unexpected surprise for the audience. There are also contract and payment issues if an actor receives billing in the credit. Jack Lemmon, who was the narrator for the story, may have preferred not being credited. He was certainly a big enough star that if he wanted to be listed in the credits, he would have received proper billing.

raywest

Chosen answer: No, they are not related. His father used to work with Agent Carter but that is as close as it gets.
