Question: Is there any particular reason why Maleficent needs to lure Aurora up into the tower to have her prick her finger? We see that Maleficent magically creates the spinning wheel herself, so couldn't she have just done that in Aurora's bedchamber?

Question: How come Graham was able to drive a car up to Ruth's house but couldn't for the life of him figure out how a telephone worked? When it was still ringing he said "Hello" thinking she'd answered.
Answer: He's young and he and his sister are alone. He's worried about his Grandma and she's not answering the phone. He's saying hello because he desperately wants her to answer so he knows she's OK. He feels helpless just letting the phone ring.
Question: Why wouldn't Harry have told the police and the newspapers that he believed Spider-Man killed Norman? If he did, why wouldn't Jameson write about it? And why would everyone love him? And why wouldn't the police want to question him?
Answer: Throughout this film as well as the previous film in this trilogy, Harry wants to exact revenge upon Spider-Man personally, so involving the police could complicate things; if Spider-Man were to be arrested and taken into custody, then Harry would have a much harder time killing Spider-Man himself.
Question: In the final sequence, Buffalo Bill turns off the lights. After agent Starling shots Buff Bill, the lights come back on immediately. How are they turned on?
Answer: She empties her revolver to kill Bill. As she does, she also shoots out of the window behind him. This is shown in the film.
I had the same question. The lighting doesn't look like coming from a window – a basement window.
I mean, obviously it's probably too much light to be coming out of the window realistically. But in the context of the movie, Clarice has just conquered the villain and saved the day, so having the light be bright is likely also a bit of a stylistic thematic choice. Light is associated with "good," and she has moved "out of the darkness," so to speak. So, they had the scene lit nice and brightly.
Question: Throughout the whole movie Sutler is being very tyrannical. When Sutler is captured and brought to Creedy, why is he suddenly terrified? I would have thought that he would scream at Creedy for betraying him.
Answer: Simply put, Sutler is much like many villainous characters in fiction: ruthless and cruel when giving orders from a place of safety, but cowardly when he loses the security that he's used to.
Question: When Grant comes to find Annie/Joanna, how does he know exactly where to go to find her? He ends up at Dean's house without knowing where he lives.
Answer: This is just speculation, but since he knew what hospital she'd been in, he likely went there and asked who'd claimed her and where they lived. It wouldn't be too difficult.
Question: How was Princess Leia already on Admiral Radius' ship? Was she on Yavin with Bail while he was meeting with the council and he left her there when he left?
Answer: She was on Yavin IV, but after the Rebel council meeting Bail returned to Alderaan and assigned Leia to travel to Tatooine to fetch Obi-Wan Kenobi. Her ship the Tantive IV was damaged in a previous mission and was undergoing repairs on Admiral Raddus' ship, so he was escorting Leia to Tatooine when he instead decided to assist the Rogue One team on Scarif.
Question: Why did Maya give up in the end? I know she was bitten in the leg, but she can still walk around on the other 3 legs?
Answer: She may be able to walk on three legs, but traveling a long distance and keeping up with the other dogs in such extreme circumstances would be too much and would be extremely painful. Also, seal bites often cause a serious bacterial infection which would quickly sicken and incapacitate Maya.
Answer: Mya did survive because max wouldn't leave her behind.
Question: Why didn't Hermione cast immobilus on the Whomping willow when they were running after Ron after Sirius drags him into the shrieking shack? Or after it hit them back and they tried to get in themselves?
Answer: They didn't know a simple magic spell would work on it. Students were forbidden to approach the tree because it was so dangerous. In the book, the Willow was turned "on" and "off" with a secret switch located at the base of the trunk. Only the Hogwarts teachers and some staff knew about it.
Calamity Jen - S1-E2
Question: In this episode, there's a commercial about "999" being changed to a ridiculous long number. While I get why it would be funny, was there some basis for joke itself? Like, was there talk about the UK changing the emergency number or something? Or is it just completely random. And when Roy says "how hard is it to remember 911, I mean 999", is this just a joke for American viewers to understand what 999 is? Or do British people say or use "911" too?
Answer: It's a joke on the "118" numbers in the UK. 118 numbers were used for directory enquiries and adverts for them on TV always tried to give a way to easily remember one for a particular company. The fake ad in the show takes it to the extreme. People in the UK do not use "911", the point of the joke was that Roy had forgotten "999" while saying it was easy to remember.
Fifteen Million Merits - S1-E2
Question: Is the phrase "pie ape" British slang, or a mix of slang words? Or is just an insult the writers created that isn't based on anything?
Answer: It's a derogatory slang term made up for the show.
Question: When Richard reminisces about England, he talks about going to the pub and having a pint. Yet the whole time he's in Saint Marie, he is never seen to drink alcohol with the rest of the team; only cups of tea. Why?
Answer: Most likely they had only tropical exotic drinks, he wanted an old fashioned English beer.
Question: Did Batman mean to kill The Penguin?
Answer: Not intentionally, the rockets were aimed at the abandoned arctic zoo structure, not at the Penguin himself. He was caught in the crossfire.
Question: How can Gwen pose as a student at the Academy wearing part of her costume, tights and ballet shoes, with no teacher noticing and forcing her to wear the same socks and shoes as the other girls?
Answer: Gwen is only briefly shown in school, there's nothing to suggest she wasn't given any warnings about uniform violations. If she did receive warnings, she simply didn't address them, considering she isn't even a real student. Some schools don't force students to correct uniform violations on the spot.
Question: What happens to Jennings after Howard destroys the Laser Spectroscope to prevent more Dark Overlords from coming to earth? He is never seen with Howard, Beverly and Phil after it's destroyed.
Answer: He means, what happens to him in that very scene.
Answer: He probably goes back to being a scientist afterwards. Maybe he went into hiding after what he'd been through out of fear of the government wanting to hold him responsible for that power plant's mess.
Question: Why did the train that wakes Vinny and Lisa comes through town every morning rather than coming through anytime besides 5 or 4?

Answer: Being that Aurora is a princess, she would have many servants and other attendants constantly tending to her. They could conceivably discover the spinning wheel and prevent Aurora from pricking her finger inside her bedroom. Luring her into the tower makes her more vulnerable. It also adds to the story's drama and suspense.
