Character mistake: The narrator says that Rusty chuffed bravely across the bridge, but Rusty is a Diesel and thus cannot chuff.
Other mistake: When the narrator says that Duncan ran out of coal in the bridge, there is coal in his bunker.
Factual error: In the "Steamie or Diesel" game on the "All Aboard with the Steam Team" DVD, Spencer is incorrectly called a diesel even though he is a steamie. Whenever you get the wrong button, Spencer says he actually has a horn instead of a whistle and even says he is a diesel engine.
Character mistake: At the beginning, the narrator refers to the Quarry as the Smelters.
Audio problem: At the beginning of the episode, Salty has Diesel's horn sound.
Revealing mistake: Salty is missing his rear lamp in the first shot at the docks and a hole is visible where it should be.
Visible crew/equipment: When Percy passes the Coaling plant, a camera shadow is visible.
Audio problem: Before Emily goes into the duck pond, her brakes are heard screeching but her wheels are still moving.
Audio problem: At the beginning, Henry has Gordon's whistle sound. And when Spencer's driver rings the bell after stopping at the countryside, the bell is heard, but cannot be seen.
Deliberate mistake: In the PBS airings in the U.S. of "Tuneful Toots" and "Duncan and the Old Mine", Rusty is referred to as a female rather than a male.
Thomas and the Rainbow - S9-E2
Audio problem: At the beginning, Henry has Gordon's whistle sound.
Plot hole: When Gordon crashes into the goods train, it is not being pulled by an engine. So why is it just sitting on the mainline and not on a siding?
Audio problem: Gordon has a different whistle sound when he cuts in front of James at the water tower.
Character mistake: The narrator refers to Gordon as "Gordon's engine."
Flour Power - S9-E26
Factual error: The narrator says "Suddenly, Thomas felt something touch his tender," but Thomas is a tank engine. "Bunker" is the correct term.
It's Good to Be Gordon - S10-E9
Character mistake: The narrator refers to Henry as "Henry's engine."
Revealing mistake: In a close up of Gordon after Rocky clears the tracks, Gordon has wonky eyes.
Character mistake: In the trivia game on the "On Site With Thomas" DVD, Monty's name is misspelled as "Monte."
Continuity mistake: When Emily and Whiff pull the rubbish trucks away, Whiff is coupled up to Emily, and Emily is coupled up to the trucks. When they pull them away, their buffers are separate.
Gordon and the Engineer - S11-E6
Continuity mistake: When Gordon is at the signal box, he drops off his coaches on his track and leaves. When he comes back with the mechanic, the coaches are gone.
Answer: Butch the breakdown truck must have pulled Gordon's tender all the way up the rails so the breakdown train can reach it and also Butch helped to get Gordon close to the winch.
