Other mistake: When Tintin and the Emir are talking with the military adviser, the Emir holds a box of cigars and lets the military adviser take one out of the box. The military adviser then takes out one of the cigars from the box, but the amount of cigars in the box remains the same. (00:27:50)

Revealing mistake: When Tintin asks where he can find Mueller, the scene cuts to him walking through a market. Whilst he is walking through the market, he is wearing shades and the sun is reflected in them, but the reflection never stays still. The reflection is constantly flickering around the shades. Revealing mistake: When Tintin and Oliviera da Figueria are talking with the guard at the castle door, the guard sneezes and Oliviera takes out a handkerchief saying "Some beautiful handkerchiefs." When Oliviera finishes taking out the handkerchief, as he says "Some", a weird mark appears on the screen, right where the handkerchief is located. This is visible for only one frame but it can still be noticed. (00:32:00)

Continuity mistake: When Tintin is investigating Mueller's room, he comes across a file with various articles in it. Before Tintin goes to pick up the file, the articles are on the right hand side of the file, but when he has the file in his hand, in the exact same shot, several articles have immediately appeared on the left hand side of it. Other mistake: When Mueller is at his desk, writing, a fly comes into his view. Just before the fly appears in view of him, he is writing on his paper, but he is just shown writing in the exact same spot and nothing ever appears on the paper. (00:33:55)

Continuity mistake: When Tintin opens the secret passageway, the fireplace retreats backwards leaving an open gap about several feet wide in the fireplace. As he heads down into the passageway a couple of shots later, the open gap in the fireplace has suddenly expanded much further. (00:35:00)

Continuity mistake: When Abdullah opens the cell door, Tintin runs in and grabs Abdullah leaving the door open by a few inches. The shot cuts to the guard that Tintin had knocked out, and the door, visible in the background, is suddenly open entirely. The door has also changed from being grey to beige. (00:36:05)

Continuity mistake: After Mueller has caught Abdullah, Tintin shoots the lock off one of the cells and hides in it. When he is inside, the bullet damage from when he shot the lock is visible and is coloured green. A few shots later, the damage is suddenly beige and the same colour as the door. Then a few shots after that, the damage is suddenly green again. (00:37:25)

Continuity mistake: After Mueller's car has crashed and Abdullah asks for ice-cream, Mueller replies "Ice-cream?" and we can see his tie is unfastened. In the next shot, Mueller doesn't move, but when the shot cuts back, Mueller's tie is suddenly fastened completely. (00:39:50)

Continuity mistake: After Thomson and Thompson have inadvertently taken the Formula 14, Tintin, Haddock and Abdullah approach them with Mueller. There are oil stains all over one of side of Mueller's jacket and no oil stains on the other side, but after Thompson tells Mueller to get in the car, there are oil stains all over the jacket. Continuity mistake: After arriving in Jakarta, Haddock is correcting Professor Calculus telling him it is not Sydney. The last time Haddock tells Calculus this, he's saying "It's not Sydney yet. It's Jakarta", and Haddock has pale skin and is also looking annoyed. Calculus then says "Yes, I know" and Haddock suddenly has more tanned skin and is smiling. (00:01:30)

Continuity mistake: When Mr. Carreidas and Mr. Spaulding walk over to Tintin, Haddock and Skut, in the shot where Skut says "Mr. Carreidas, these are my friends", the money that Haddock previously placed into Carreidas' hat is sticking out of it and a portion of the note is tucked into Carreidas' hat. In the next shot, only the top right corner is tucked into into Carreidas' hat. (00:03:15)

Continuity mistake: When Carreidas breaks out laughing for the first time, there is a moment where he lowers his head downwards. After this, the shot cuts to Mr. Spaulding saying "Are you all right sir?" and Carreidas head, visible in the corner of frame, is suddenly raised. (00:03:50)

Continuity mistake: When Carreidas receives a call from New York, he takes the phone from the flight attendant. The cord on the phone is black when the flight attendant is holding it on the dish, but red when Carreidas answers the call. (00:06:10)
