Continuity mistake: The pilot of the seaplane Tintin and Haddock capture has white skin. A few scenes later on, when Tintin and Haddock are riding through the storm, Haddock and Snowy fall backwards and the pilot suddenly has brown skin. This continues throughout the scene until after Tintin is knocked out with the wine bottle and the pilot makes for the airlock where he suddenly has white skin again. (00:25:55)

Continuity mistake: When Tintin, Haddock and Snowy are on the seaplane, Tintin says to Haddock "Imagine the look on Allan's face when he sees the welcoming committee we set up for him." Continuity mistake: The pilot of the seaplane has a mustache, and goes back to the site of the boat to see if Tintin and Haddock really are dead. When Snowy appears behind him and the pilot says "Where did you come from?", the mustache has vanished completely. Then as Tintin pulls on the pilot's leg, the mustache reappears again. (00:20:35)

Continuity mistake: When Tintin and Haddock discover the sea plane headed for them, Tintin states it is coming in very fast, to which Haddock replies "Not fast enough for me." As he says this, his arms are shown waving around and that his right arm is raised far above his left arm. In the sudden shot following, Haddock's arms are now completely still and are partially lowered. (00:19:45)

Continuity mistake: When Tintin throws the planks of wood through Captain Haddock's porthole, they land on his head. Haddock turns his head and his glass of whiskey is almost full to the top. Continuity mistake: When Tintin and Snowy run into the storage room to hide from Allan and the other two bad guys, the door to the room is white. A couple of shots later, as Allan says "Give it up. He's barricaded", the door is now teal. (00:14:30)

Continuity mistake: When Allan and his two crew mates go to question Tintin, they enter a room with a teal door with a handle. When they are inside the room a few inches of hull are shown under the door. Continuity mistake: Just after Tintin is knocked out, the scene zooms out and cuts to black, and the scene returns to the Karaboudjan in the same room. There is a Crabe Extra tin visible that Tintin had dropped on the floor, about a foot from Snowy. When the shot cuts to a close-up of Snowy growling, the tin is closer to him. (00:10:50)

Continuity mistake: When Tintin discovers the Crabe Extra tins in the ship's decks, he is knocked out and drops his torch that is left turned on. As the shot begins to pan out, the torch is suddenly switched off. Also, his torch is pointed to the left as he is knocked out, but shifted slightly to the right when the shot begins panning out. Continuity mistake: When Tintin is searching the decks, Snowy starts scratching his paws on a red door so Tintin would come over to it. As Tintin walks over to it, we see it has a door knob. In the next shot, it just has a regular handle. (00:10:00)

Continuity mistake: After Allan yells at the crew member for missing Tintin, Allan walks over to see what happened. When Allan looks at him, there are a few tins of seafood on his back and almost a dozen on the floor. As Tintin goes to get back up in the following shot, there are fewer tins on the floor. Continuity mistake: When the crew member goes to take out Tintin by dropping a crate of tins on him, he goes to press the red button in order for the crate to drop. The three levers he was using are in the middle of the device. After the crate drop fails to land on him and Allan yells at him, the three levers are at the top. (00:08:20)

Continuity mistake: Just as the scene at the docks starts, Tintin stops by a rope and looks up to notice the Karaboudjan. In this shot, the ropes are located right beside him, only a foot away. Allan and one of the crew members then begin conversation and the angle changes, showing Tintin far in the background, but the ropes are nowhere to be seen. (00:08:00)

The back left door is already closed, and one of the bad guys closes the back right door. After the third bad guy hits Tintin over the head, an overview shot shows the back doors open. Continuity mistake: Tintin is back at his apartment reading the wrapper from the Crabe Extra tin with "Karaboudjan" written on it. Just before he says "Yes, there's something definitely written here", he has lifted the wrapper off the table with his thumb placed on the front and his four other fingers placed on the back. In the next shot, the wrapper is now flat on the table and his four fingers are now placed on the front. (00:05:15)

Continuity mistake: When Tintin is back at his apartment reading over the wrapper, the only things on his desk are the wrapper and pencil in the shot where he says "Only I can't read it" and the desk is also in front of the chair Tintin is sitting at. Later on, after Tintin returns to his apartment after the three bad guys have kidnapped Mr. Kuraki, a phone has suddenly appeared on Tintin's desk and the desk is now on the left of the chair. Continuity mistake: When Tintin and Snowy are at the apartment examining the wrapper, the word "Karaboudjan" is clearly written on the wrapper. When Tintin goes to darken the wrapper, the word is now hardly visible and has to be darkened in order for Tintin to see it properly. (00:05:15)
Chosen answer: If Hector was seriously intent on removing King Ottokar's scepter from the glass cage holding it and launching it through the window with the camera, then Hector would have been forced to knock out the two guards so they would not have interfered with Hector's plan as soon as he removed the scepter from the glass. As for Hector, himself, was explained when Tintin was explaining how Hector stole the scepter. Tintin placed a twig inside the camera and it launched out of the camera. Hector would have placed the scepter inside of the camera, and would have been knocked unconscious due to the spring effect created when the scepter had been launched.
