The Crab with the Golden Claws: Part 2 - S1-E2
Other mistake: The newspaper article that features Tintin and Captain Haddock at the end of the episode is a flipped shot, as shown by the text that has been reversed. (00:43:35)
The Crab with the Golden Claws: Part 2 - S1-E2
Other mistake: During the recap of Part 1, Tintin says that Allan is smuggling diamonds instead of drugs. (00:02:09)
The Crab with the Golden Claws: Part 1 - S1-E1
Other mistake: Whilst examining the wrapper with "Karaboudjan" written on it, the "K" is a centimeter away from the letter "A" and all the other letters are about a fifth of a centimeter away from the letters. Tintin then places a magnifying glass above the word "Karaboudjan." After doing this, the "K" that was a centimeter away from the "A" is now a fifth of a centimeter away from the "A", but none of the other letters seem to have changed distances. This all occurs within the same shot. (00:05:15)
The Secret of the Unicorn: Part 1 - S1-E3
Other mistake: When Tintin attempts to break down Captain Haddock's door, there is no key lock hole on the front of the door, but there is a key lock hole on the back of the door. (00:10:50)
The Crab with the Golden Claws: Part 1 - S1-E1
Other mistake: During the first shot of Captain Haddock, there is a shot of his table with cards. You can see there are three of the same card (a red ace) on the table. Even if it's one heart and one diamond there's still an extra. (00:15:25)
Red Rackham's Treasure - S1-E5
Other mistake: Professor Calculus brings the parts for two shark submarines (he stated in the scene prior he would bring two) to the docks in two separate crates. The crates he uses to hold the submarine parts in would not big enough to hold the entirety of the submarine. The crates shown are only a couple of feet wide and even smaller in height, but the shark submarines shown in the episode are much larger than the overall size of the crate. (00:06:50)
Red Rackham's Treasure - S1-E5
Other mistake: When Haddock fires at the shark, he is firing to the right, but the shark is directly in front of him. The bullet is still heard hitting the shark anyway. (00:13:00)
The Secret of the Unicorn: Part 1 - S1-E3
Other mistake: When Tintin discovers the scroll under his drawers, he begins reading the French words on the scroll in English. He starts reading out by saying "Three brothers joined." This sentence translated into French would be "Trois freres rejoint." However, this is not what is shown on the scroll. The sentence shown on the scroll appears to be "Trois freres unys." (00:09:20)
The Secret of the Unicorn: Part 1 - S1-E3
Other mistake: After discovering the scroll, Tintin begins reading it out. The words on the paper, the words Tintin is saying, and where Tintin's eyes move as he read the paper don't seem to match up. Tintin first says "Three brothers joined", which covers the first half of the line, but the next shot then shows his eyes reading at the very end of the line. Tintin then says "Three unicorns in company sailing in the moon day sun will speak", and his eyes are then reading across the second line, but the start of the sentence is shown on the second half of the first line of the scroll. (00:09:20)
The Secret of the Unicorn: Part 2 - S1-E4
Other mistake: Tintin is in the treasure room whilst the Bird brothers are looking for him. After the brother with the gun shoots the knight armour, Tintin is crawling around the room far behind them, and pops his head up where he can see them. About 2-3 seconds later, he is then shown as a mirror reflection the brothers are tricked into thinking is real, nowhere near his previous spot. 4 seconds after that, Tintin is hiding behind a cupboard at the other end of the room, that the brothers just quickly run by. (00:37:20)
The Secret of the Unicorn: Part 1 - S1-E3
Other mistake: When Tintin pays for the new book at the market, his hand is placed on the spine of the book. Tintin then lowers the book towards his side and his hand is suddenly placed along the opposite end of the book. This entire mistake occurs in one shot. (00:02:15)
The Secret of the Unicorn: Part 1 - S1-E3
Other mistake: When Tintin is reading out the scroll, the scroll is in French and Tintin is reading it out in English. The first word on the second line is "conserve", which means "preserve" in English. The word "preserve" however is never spoken when Tintin reads out the scroll. (00:09:20)
The Crab with the Golden Claws: Part 1 - S1-E1
Other mistake: When the seaplane advances in on Tintin and Captain Haddock, the pilot begins to start shooting at them. The shot after this shows a POV shot where the bullets hit the water and keep getting closer to the boat. The third bullet is shown hitting part of the boat but no damage is caused. (00:19:50)
The Crab with the Golden Claws: Part 1 - S1-E1
Other mistake: After Tintin and Snowy run out of the room containing Mr. Kuraki, they are discovered by Allan and the two bad guys he is with. The three of them then take their guns out, aim them at Tintin and Snowy and begin to shoot them. The bullets miss Tintin and Snowy and end up hitting the wall. No bullet marks are ever visible in the wall after this. (00:14:25)
The Crab with the Golden Claws: Part 1 - S1-E1
Other mistake: When Tintin is knocked on his head by the third bad guy, the shot cuts to an overview angle that shows the bad guys making for their car. Two of them bad guys, (the one with the club in his right hand and the one with the teal jumper) just vanish into the car as the enter. They are shown running but are never shown crouching down or reaching for the door handle or anything relating to actually entering the car. (00:06:40)
The Crab with the Golden Claws: Part 1 - S1-E1
Other mistake: As the scene cuts from Tintin walking on the sidewalk to Thomson and Thomson's office, the shot then pans over to one of them placing some files on the desk. As he places the files, three pieces of paper are shown floating off the desk, but there is nothing there causing the papers to move at all. (00:03:25)
The Crab with the Golden Claws: Part 1 - S1-E1
Other mistake: When the three Karaboudjan members go to approach Daws, we see Daws go to clench the wrapper he had written "Karaboudjan" on and then throws the Crabe Extra tin in the box nearby. In the shot where one of them says "You disappoint us, Daws", as they first appear, we can see Daws is standing in front of the box, yet as Daws actually goes to throw the tin in the box, he throws it forwards, which from that position meant, could not have possibly landed in the box. It would have landed far in front of the box, rather than actually in it. (00:02:05)
The Crab with the Golden Claws: Part 1 - S1-E1
Other mistake: The Crabe Extra tin Daws had stuffed in his pocket is about four to five inches long, possibly more and the tin has been opened, increasing the length another two inches, and Daws still had to stuff his whole hand and whole wrist into his pocket and keep moving it around to retrieve the tin. If anything, he'd be lucky enough to have fit the tin in his pocket anyway. (00:01:45)
The Calculus Affair: Part 2 - S1-E13
Other mistake: When the Colonel opens the door after finding out about Calculus's release, the door handle is never pushed down, but the door still opens anyway. (00:39:30)
The Calculus Affair: Part 1 - S1-E12
Other mistake: When the taxi gets hit, the number plate reads "GE 7051" on the back of the car, but when the taxi falls into the water, the number plate reads "GE 7054" on the front of the car. The number plate should be the same on both ends. (00:14:55)
Chosen answer: If Hector was seriously intent on removing King Ottokar's scepter from the glass cage holding it and launching it through the window with the camera, then Hector would have been forced to knock out the two guards so they would not have interfered with Hector's plan as soon as he removed the scepter from the glass. As for Hector, himself, was explained when Tintin was explaining how Hector stole the scepter. Tintin placed a twig inside the camera and it launched out of the camera. Hector would have placed the scepter inside of the camera, and would have been knocked unconscious due to the spring effect created when the scepter had been launched.
